After school my son loves to stop here for a donuts! And I love their vegan donuts! All of them are good!

I can't recall too many places in the AV that make a good cake batter based donut, but this place knocks it out the park they are defiantly memorable! I would recommend first trying a plain donut so that one can truly appreciate the base of the donut. In my opinion the plain donut is good on its on. The sugar cinnamon ones are a close second. I am not a fan of too many toppings but their basic sprinkle ones have a sweet glaze and have a touch of being playful. I really like that they have a maple bacon Monday donut that they only serve at the beginning of the week, a great kick start to your Monday. I know this shop just opened and are trying to come up with innovative donut combinations and can't wait to see what they come up with. Their gummy warm and "dirt" donut is just too cute! I will defiantly be coming back to write a more in depth review when they have Officially opened. read more

Donuts so awesome I almost feel bad just eating them. Almost. Tho I did save some for an employee to take home and show his wife. Interesting variety. Individual attention to details on each one! Firstly, I really like their logo and believe the designer did a great job. Monster Donuts has some cool ideas for donuts, but they fall pretty flat in execution, which seems to be primarily due a lack of ability of the bakers, who are limited to basic cake batters. In addition, the cake-based donuts lack any flavor beyond the toppings, which don't save the donuts from the bland cake foundation. I've been to the location a few times, not wanting to write them off so easily, but between the lack of variety in flavor (the unique toppings don't add to the overall donut, but attempt to mask what is lacking), the dull interior (could use better lighting or design, feels cold and empty), and the donuts usually feeling/tasting colder than you'd expect are a few reasons why I won't return until they at least begin offering yeast-based donuts or even buttermilk, which is cake, yet they don't have anything like it. I do hope it continues to grow and builds to eventually be the monster it claims to be. read more

You don't have to drive all the way to LA for good quality donuts. My husband and I stopped here for a treat this morning. It's very hard to find vegan donuts in the AV, but a nice man on a Facebook thread from this shop told me they have a selection of vegan donuts. The girl up front was super nice and helpful. She explained their 3 vegan donuts of the day. Each donut came in nice packaging and both of our donuts were absolutely delicious. I will DEFINITELY be returning! read more

We finally were able to catch Monsters Donuts when they were still open with available product. After four failed attempts to go there during heir posted store hours, only to find they were unexpectedly closed, we had almost given up on Monsters Donuts. First impression was one of awkward quietness. Even a little elevator music would be better than nothing. The inside was somewhat unimpressive but with room to grow given the right creative eye and designer. Seeing the customer in front of me with dog in hand hovering over the selection of donuts was a bit off putting. Pet-friendly shops typically work better with an available outdoor patio for the dogs to hang, not the front counter. The selection of donuts was decent. I would like to see labels or a more detailed menu about the donut I'm ordering rather than having to point and ask at each one. As far as taste, this is where Monsters Donuts needs improvement. Despite the "pretty" toppings (which are still slightly unimpressive to others I've seen within this same competitive line of donut shops) the donuts themselves were dry. I had the animal cookie one, which has potential, but the one and only animal cookie wedges on top was disappointing. We also had the churro donut whose "mini churro" toppings were so stale I couldn't even bite all the way through it. This was also the dryers of the donuts we tried. Overall, this place is a great idea and has potential, but definitely needs more work. read more

I stopped by during the afternoon. The guy working there said they just had a rush so there wasn't a big variety. I bought a snickers for my boyfriend and he loved it. They had a pink icing one that had sprinkles inside the donut. I gave that to my 6 year old and she loved it. She usually just eats the icing off donuts and leaves the rest for the trash. I took a bite and it was delicious! I love cake(y) donuts. I actually dislike Krispy Kreme. I saw one reviewer gave a negative review over the fact they were cake. That's not really fair. First off I've been to many donut places out in LA. For example California donuts, DK donuts, The donut man to just name a few. Going into monster donuts I had a high expectation especially with the Instagram Photos they post up. Looks great but the taste is a different story. It's pretty much a donut and they just put candy on top or whatever topping. A lot of donut spots I've been to would make sure that the donut Taste would blend in with that topping. This is just an example but If I got a KitKat donut it should have a blended chocolate sauce with KitKat for the frosting and then add KitKat. Also the donuts aren't fluffy and soft it's like stale. I visited Monster Donuts with my mom and we were thoroughly impressed!! The cake donuts are deliciously dense and tasty. The prices are reasonable for what you're getting (donut, icing, drizzle, sprinkles, candy, deco, etc.) These are the only specialized donuts in the AV. These donuts are not worth the price! We had a red velvet and a chocolate fudge brownie donut and we couldn't finish either, the red velvet had a weird taste to it didn't taste like a donut or cake, and the chocolate had coco pebbles on it and they were stale and the donut was dry the glaze was good but the rest no good! I paid $1.75 each donut and they were the size of a regular cake donut. I will stick to my little yum yum donuts. So much better and cheaper! read more

Doughnuts they are monster they are not. i have been DK Doughnuts In Santa Monica and those are monster donuts. These doughnuts are smaller than the ordinary ones sold at Sweetie Pie or Fish and Donuts. read more

My son & I love coming here - the donut variety is always on point, and the employee (there's never been more than one working at any given time) is always incredibly friendly. As expected, the donuts are somewhat pricey, but nothing out of the ordinary. In regard to taste - again, nothing out of the ordinary, although the designs and flavor combinations are cool. The interior definitely needs a pick-me-up; other than a few Monster Donut logo paintings, it's very plain inside, and dead silent. This is hands down my favorite donut spot in Antelope Valley. Let me start out with the customer service, which most places out jere lack in this department. But amazing service!! Greeted with a warm friendly smile and atmosphere. The donuts are amazing and so was the coffee, not watered down like some places. If you're looking for basic donuts (old fashioned glaze, twists, bars etc) this is not the place for you! Nothing about this place is mediocre. We heard about Monster Donuts by word of mouth. They made custom Minnie Mouse themed donuts for my daughters first birthday party. We got a dozen regular sized donuts and 2 dozen mini donuts....even though we had other desserts, the donuts were a hit and we only had one large donut left at the end of the party . Everyone loved them. The prices are great too, totally affordable. Customer service is great in the shop. read more
