primarily dealt with Furmin and Alex. At the beginning, communication was good and they seemed responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, once the project moved into the scheduling and installation phase, the experience became extremely disappointing. The quality of the installation was poor. The carpet edges were not finished properly, and the bullnose trim on the steps was installed very poorly. The workmanship did not meet basic expectations. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability afterward. Once corporate payment had already been processed, communication completely stopped. My calls and text messages were never returned. Good contractors stand behind their work and maintain communication even after payment is received. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. Go to the Hard Rock in Bayside so you can see their work first hand. read more

Terrible customer service! Monster Grass has been a headache since the beginning. We hired them to replace our concrete driveway. As you can see in the photos, after pouring it turned blue (June 2022), they said we had to wait for it to dry, it never fully went to concrete color and we started getting cracks. They put a thin coat over the driveway, but the cracks came back out. They are not surface cracks they go all the way down. They said they would fix them. Fast forward to September 2023 they started filling the numerous cracks so we have a brand new driveway with cracks with filler, and they said they are not going to do anymore. Now we have to pay thousands more to recoat and seal a brand new driveway that we already spent a huge amount on 18 months ago. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Facts: The concrete was chosen by Monster Grass, see the text messages below between Monster Grass and my husband, where we ask for a quality concrete company because your original concrete supplier was not available for months. YOU are the one that offered to use TJ Pavement, which you said you use most of the time!!! It's all in the text messages that we have between your company and my husband!! they had an appt to arrive at 12:30pm; i rearranged my entire schedule to be there for appt. They text me at 12:20 pthat they are arriving an hour late; then they tell me that they aren't arriving today at all because they said i didn't immediately respond to their late text. i replied at 12:26 when i can inside to check my phone for if they were lost. I asked the customer service phone rep if I would be offered something type of discount and she said no.. then tells Me that it's okay that they cancelled 5 minutes before appt. I hired these guys to fix a turf job another company did. When the sales man Alex came through he made all sorts of promises and said fixing the issues at hand EX:"weed barrier, elevation and draining issues" will be a piece of cake and will take no more then 1 day to complete, Typical salesman will say anything to get money out of your pockets. My backyard now has extreme flooding issues due to the PVC pipe angled UP instead of Down so all the water is coming back up instead of leaving the backyard. Of course at this point they are paid in full so talking to them at this point is like talking to a wall. I explain to Alex everything he acted like a total Toddler and said the party has ended there is no warranty tough luck, you'r on your own. I called the owner Fermin complained about Alex, Fermin was a gentleman he send over Kirk another gentleman to deal with but there not installers. They did send there installers to try & fix the drain issue The problem is there installers aren't experienced to install drains. they all said if our installer can't fix it, it is what it is we are not coming back. I have never dealt with a company where they take on a job and when things aren't put together properly and you call them out on it they freak out and bail on you. I looked at there IG they have a whole marketing post about flood in Florida yet they couldn't even fix my issue. If I can reverse time I would have never hired them. If you do hire them after reading this GOOD LUCK to you pray to G-D and steer clear of there TODDLER salesman who will 100% bail on you if you call him out on bad work. read more

Horrendous sums it up in one word. The final state of this installation was horrible and is still bad to this day. Monster grass did the initial installment in January 2019 it looked good when they left. However, after a few weeks when all the excessive sand washed away the finishing borders were exposed with jagged edges and areas with no borders to contain the sand. They did not put down any type of weed blocker. There is non-stops weeds growing. I would've gladly Paid extra for a weedblocker add-on. Time for the poor customer service. After identifying the poorly installed border I first contacted monster grass In March 2019 with photos of the install. It took them over a year to come make the repairs. This past March 2020 and they didn't fix everything discussed and used a crappy grade of concrete. So now I have a mismatched border. To sum it up very slow response and if I didn't keep calling this would've never gotten "fixed" I am going to have to chip away the concrete around the entire patio and redo it myself so it can look good. I pretty much could've grabbed some guys off Biscayne and directed them to do a better job than so called professionals. read more

Paid over 20,000 for our concrete blocks to be uneven, to not drain correctly, some flood while others drain. Our patios screens to be ripped and left open, 0 cleanup once their job was done. Piles of rocks just swept into the corners of the patio. All my patio furniture, pool toys, anything that was in the backyard is covered in concrete soot. Patio screens also are speckled with globs of concrete. They also left trash in my driveway they claim is not theirs (like I had a pile of dirt & rocks, discarded rolls of turf and other rocks in my driveway beforehand?) Wouldn't recommend. read more

This company acts as a criminal enterprise. They committed to installing my grass in one day. Instead they removed the wrong surface and called me at 10:00pm after they were supposed to finish same day, STOLE my current grass and demanded full payment before even an inch of grass was delivered. Monster Grass North Dade are CRIMINALS. I formally demanded they bring back the grass they stole and they refused. The owner Jesebel will lie to you and say they will complete the work, then they send someone out for an hour of "work" and demand for you to pay for 90% of the job. The terms per the checkout link say NET 30, meaning 30 days to pay upon completion. DO NOT BY ANY MEANS FALL INTO THE TRAP OF PAYMENT AFTER DAY ONE WHEN THEY STOP BY FOR ONE HOUR, STEAL FROM YOU, THEN DEMAND THE REMAINDER OF MONEY BROUGHT IN CASH TO THEIR OFFICE, WITHOUT SEEING AN INCH OF GRASS. They should be called Monster Dirt and Steal, as this is what you will be left with when they are done. Please see my original post and my updated post. Original Post: I do not recommend. I kept calling for a quote and Fermin would often not reply. When he did, he would say he would call back and he never did. It cost me a week in time (which was very important because I needed to get this done in time for my daughter's party). Needless to say, I went with another company and that company was amazing. Update: Fermin ended up texting me. And he apologized. I appreciated it. The fact he took the time to reach out and apologize meant a lot. Even though I can never get the time back, I understand people all make mistakes. No one is perfect. I guess the way to prevent these mistakes in the future is to explain to a potential customer that the company is currently tied up or have a staff member handle the booking. I appreciate Fermin reaching out. And for that reason, I updated to 2 stars. 2nd Update: Fermin also promised me courtesy maintenance in a year or two when it may be necessary to do maintenance. The installation was ok even if they destroyed the natural grass that was not supposed to be replaced. This because they did not want to bring in the materials using the drive way on the back of my property . After 8 months some of the artificial grass sections started separating where they connect to each other and it took me 4 months of weekly phone calls to have them return and check the problems. They only repaired 2 issues out of the 6 I have. They don't stand by their installation warranty. I would not recommend them at all. read more

They cleaned up and leveled off our whole backyard, did layers of rock and sand almost like a fence shui garden and then finally laid the turf. A follow up to a previous review I submitted regarding the long awaited repair to my yard and golf putt. The repairman was supposed to show up on Saturday morning and was a no-show and a no-call. I finally received a call from Alex later that evening stating that his repairmen were indisposed and unable to tend to my property and he sent his regards and promised they would be there the following day. The two repairmen showed up the following day and finally fixed all the issues I've been having with the grass for the past year and half.
