I'm running low on ways to entertain myself during Covid. Thankfully, this place is open to grab a buddy and do something different that's not sitting on the couch watching Netflix. It's not expensive and it has both indoor mini golf and an arcade so you can easily kill an hour or two here. The golf course is small but fun, same goes for the arcade. I was never much of a mini golf person but I did have a great experience here. I came around 7 pm knowing they close around 8. We figured an hour would be enough time. We started to play the mini golf game , there was a group ahead of us so we took our time as we didn't want to right on top them . The interior was very well designed I loved that it was a glow in the dark neon theme. Next time I'll have to wear something that glows to make it more fun haha. The price was average not to pricey for an indoor mini golf. They also offer an arcade with a lot of games so that was fun too. I do want too add that we didn't end up finishing our golf game until about 830pm but they didn't kick us out they let use play and even let us play a few arcade games which was really nice. I do want to mention that it was the owners who were there so that's also why but I'm sure if it was a staff member they might've closed earlier. Such a large venue inside that accommodates a myriad of games for young and old alike. We went there for the mini golf on a rainy day and had a great time. Don't expect hazards like windmills, tunnels, etc. but it is a fun course to play. Afterwards, if you are hungry for something other than the standard fare on their menu, take a right on Kimberly and go a quarter mile to the Treehouse. The food is excellent, prices reasonable, and the staff friendly and welcoming. I do recommend the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and burgers. Nice low-key, relaxed atmosphere. read more

This is a cute place for anyone but probably best for kids. The entire place is dark and everything is monster themed and painted with special black light paints. Wear white or neon color clothes if you really want to glow in here. When you walk in the counter to pay is to your right. If you want to just play games you can go to the counter or there is a machine to the left to get a card. The laser maze is cash only and you insert cash in the machine at the entrance to the maze. The mini golf is a very easy to follow set up with holes challenging enough for young kids. There are also some games to keep the kids entertained. If you go try to avoid times when camps are there or when they are hosting birthday parties. read more

I had never been to a Monster Mini Golf before, so I came here with a group of friends on a Friday evening. It was pretty late when we arrived, so we only came to try out the mini golf section; although I did see there were other cool things to do here, such as play air hockey and other games. The mini golf section was not packed, as we were able to play right away. It was very cool seeing all the glow in the dark colors and their entire scenery. The atmosphere made the experience that much better. The 18 holes of golf was fun. Some holes were easy and others were difficult. It was a great mixture. The price to place a game was very fair too. I'm having a hard time understanding why the entire place is broken. This place has a lot of potential. Went with girlfriends for a fun night out. The atmosphere is really cool. You can't help but get excited when you first walk in. Everything is glow in the dark, in terms of cleanliness, everything is well maintained. The golf course itself is well maintained. The pacing of parties to go golfing requires a staff member and there is none. People were not respectful of other parties that were ahead and behind on the course. Even just one staff member to encourage people to wait 30 second before moving on to the next hole so that the first party can finish. Too much is left to assuming patrons will abide by common courtesy. Every machine had an issue. The air hockey, the skiball, the basketball - everything had something wrong with it. While the staff was accommodating in refunding our money for those incidents, it was still an incredible PITA. Check in on yelp and get BOGO on the golf games. read more

You can't give less than 5 stars here, come on. This is like par 3 mini golf. Even though I got a hole in one, I'm just really good. I'm sure you won't be. :') They're tough courses but so fun. Couple of moving parts here and there to add to the fun. Other than mini golf the have air hocky (I won), and some fun arcade games. As usual inplaces similar you get tickets for your wins and a counter if cheap toys to reap your rewards. Thats right. Cheap toys. Its just what they are. We wanted to have family fun with the kids, so we decided to give this a try. We have never gone mini golfing as a family, so this was a first time for all. I am glad we chose this place. From the first moment we walked in, we had a great experience. Shawn, who greeted us and explained the house rules was extremely helpful, so thank you! The kids, 2 & 11, has a great time mini golfing and then later playing the arcades. The cosmic decorations are very cool. My only complaints are that they had a small selection of arcades, and that the arcade card readers were not very responsive, forcing us to swipe several times before accepting payments. Love this place especially in the winter. The weather in New Jersey makes a very difficult sometimes to plan a fun date night out, when you can't go to the beach or hang out outside but you're tired of walking around the mall this is a great option. I enjoy going here just my wife and I, using the buy one get one free coupon. I've also taken groups of kids here for youth activities. When you go and who you go with is very important, sometimes a little patience is necessary but when you're with people you enjoy hanging out with you have a good time even waiting your turn. The atmosphere is definitely the big draw, cool black lights and fun music blares the whole time. There's a pretty solid variety of games to play when you're not golfing and a small snack selection. The only annoying thing about the games is that they take a card and not coins so you have to reload and use the amount you pay for no quarters or token options here. It's not fun anymore, and they are cutting corners. This is the Jersey Shore. We know mini golf, and we know arcades. When MMG first opened, we had my son's birthday party there. Over the years, we have watched the deterioration of the place. The golf course is just annoying, but this review is about the ridiculous "arcade" situation. MMG went cheap with giving out "tickets". My son played the fishing game. The game clearly advertises in red lights that you can win 1,000 tickets. He hit the "crab" for the jackpot! He jumped up and down with excitement, but noticed that he was only awarded 10 tickets. The game said 1,000, but he was only credited 10. We immediately went to the counter, and the poor employee gave us some bogus excuse about gambling and NJ. Ironically, we had hit that jackpot a while back and was awarded the tickets. I guess the owners don't actually like kids winning. The employee made it right, but everything about the situaion was wrong. The basketball game has 2 balls in it. The one next to it had none, so I couldn't play with my son. The clown game only gives you 2 balls, also, so you're waiting as the time ticks down for the 2 balls to roll back. And no matter how skill your throw is, you get 20 tickets. Miss the targets, 20 tickets. Hit every target, 20 tickets. So, guess what this business model results in? It results in us driving 20 minutes down to Point Pleasant to arcades that are actually fun. I can drive 5 mintues away to the racetrack and play some amazing mini golf. MMG, you gotta do better. Add a little value to the experience and maybe more people will come. read more

This place is so cool! Really fun atmosphere and course. We also loved the more high tech arcade games like the jet ski and motorcycle games. The only thing is that the machine to add money to for arcade games didn't really work that well, which was mildly frustrating. Love this place for mini golf! My boyfriend and I have gone here twice since we discovered it from groupon a couple weeks ago. It's a really fun place for a date, and we love playing the course. If you go, I would highly recommend wearing neon colors. It looks so cool in the lighting they use there. With three daughters we are always looking for something new for a birthday celebration. I've had 6 parties at Monster Golf between our girls. This year one of our daughters turned 16, so I booked Hibachi steakhouse and a video arcade to follow...sshhh it was a surprise. A friend of hers accidentally told her about the party the day before, but she said it was OK, as long as it was at Monster Mini Golf. I couldn't cancel the dinner but ran that night to Monster Golf and bought 13 golf and arcade passes. The manager, Christine (she's fantastic) helped me out during the day to make this surprise happen, helping to arrange everything beforehand. The Manager Sean, (Love him too!) who has worked with us on a number of parties including the one we've dubbed, "The Hamilton Party", stayed with us, arranging the Q&A games, setting up the cakes and treats. Then he took the whole group out himself while serving up her favorite music with the DJ. An amazing glow-in-the-dark, monster-ridden assembly of games and golf. The course is 18 holes, was not too busy on a Sunday evening, indoor for those rainy days, and lots of space devoted to other arcade games. The experience my friend and I had was great, we played best 2 out of 3 games which ended 2-0 to me. Thanks to the Yelp app, by checking in I also got 2 games for the price of one. I came here today with a group of five friends. We were really excited that this place is an indoor course since it's so cold out today. The ambience is cool, with the black lights and Halloween vibes. That was very unique and fun. Sadly, we very quickly realized that aesthetic isn't everything. The major problem was that the staff does no sort of "population control" when it comes to how many people are allowed to play golf at any time. My group of six people took far longer to complete a hole than groups of two or three, so we kept finding that we were holding up several groups. What is very unfair about this situation was that my friends and I paid money to mini golf, yet we constantly felt pressure from people waiting behind us to move on to the next hole. At the same time, those smaller groups also paid to enjoy a round of mini golf, and they deserved not to wait several minutes at a time while my group finished up. Granted, none of the other patrons were unkind to my group, but I could not help but feel guilty to see so many people held up because us. Thus, due to poor management of players, my group felt rushed while others felt slowly down. Perhaps if the company implemented some kind of waiting system (ex: "there's a five/ten minute wait time"), customers could truly enjoy their game. I hate to say it, but that issue killed the experience for me. The first thing I said after hole 18 was, "that was the most anxiety-inducing round of mini golf I've ever played." Personally, I also wasn't a huge fan of the holes themselves. Just a lot of the same obstacles (having to bounce off the walls or shoot up a small incline) for my taste. However, I could understand why others would have a better time. Ultimately, I'm not sure I would ever return on a day that wasn't below freezing like today. But I think, for the sake of others, that the staff should implement a waiting system to better manage customer's time. read more

Today we had our son's 5th birthday party here and can not say enough great things! The staff was AMAZING! They were very attentive and kept the party moving smoothly. The whole place, especially the party room was very clean. The ease of having a party here is a 10! We never felt rushed and they really took the time to fill every need of every guest! Update to the initial review. After such a rough start, we had a solid finish! The place was well kept, including their bathrooms which were very clean. In addition to mini-golf, there are arcade style games for all ages and some even adults enjoy. When we arrived to play mini-golf, there was a misunderstanding but after working with their staff, they quickly addressed everything and we had wonderful time.
