They were able to remove the fence in order for their equipment to come through AND put it back together afterwards. This included digging and pulling a post out of the ground and putting it back in place afterwards. They were very careful with their work and knew just where to cut and segment the tree into portions and lowered each one down to the ground without destroying anything. They were also able to grind the stump and any other exposed roots down into the ground, and were helpful in cleaning up the debris and soil in their work area. They were quick, too, arriving promptly and finishing before end of day. For a job as big as this, we are totally impressed and highly recommend them for your tree services. He quoted a fair price, explained the scope clearly, and ultimately honored everything he promised. I have zero issues with him and would work with him again if he personally handles the close-out. Where things went sideways was at the end of the job, when the owner's "brother-in-law" showed up to "wrap things up." And to be clear, I don't think this guy was his brother in law at all. He kept contesting that he was Colombian and his brother was of a different nationality. I really don't care if he's from Greenland and you're from the north pole. Honor the agreement. I had set aside an additional $500 to tip the crew, completely voluntarily. Instead of letting me speak directly to the workers, the brother-in-law positioned himself between us and immediately started pushing for extra payment, claiming the job was "more than what was agreed." At that point, my $500 went back in my pocket. I never not tip and it killed my to not do it here. Either way, what I saw and who I was dealing with as the closers, "the workers" who actually did the work would have never seen a nickel of that $500. This directly contradicted the signed agreement. He began posturing and making comments that were inappropriate and unnecessary on my property. At that point, I stopped engaging and insisted he call the owner. To the owner's credit, once we spoke, he immediately reaffirmed the original deal, including post-job cleanup and removal of stump cuttings. Everything the owner said matched what was originally promised. After that call, the brother-in-law made an unprofessional remark along the lines of "I like how he talks to you," which only reinforced that he was trying to assert himself rather than resolve anything. The job itself was done well. The owner handled it professionally. But the close-out interaction was completely unnecessary and uncomfortable, and it turned what should have been a positive experience into a tense one. He needs to get his brother in law away from any closing. The guy doesn't have this ability. My advice: If you use this company, make sure the owner is the one handling payment, close-out, and any post-job discussions. Do not rely on intermediaries who were not part of the original agreement.

He called Lars and was given things to say to me , like it's a personal preference how to shape an ornamental tree. Incidentally the tree was already done shaped however overgrown about. Next the worker started to tell me that the original plan to cut a branch above the weeping cherry was wrong, and 10 branches needed to be cut.
