The measuring part was a little tricky for me (especially when certain notes needed much more than others), but the staff was so helpful and made sure it all came together. I ended up adjusting my picks and loved the final result. You're supposed to wait seven days before wearing it so the notes can fully settle, but I couldn't resist trying mine right away. It already smells amazing. The best part is they keep your formula on file, so when you run out, you can order another bottle of your exact creation. I can't wait to start wearing mine every day. It's such a special reminder of my trip. Highly recommend this experience!

Grasse is the capital of the perfume. This store is one of the oldest in France. Galimard has been a landmark or history of the perfume store in Grasse. You can make appointment to make your own perfume and smell the way you like. The appointment to make your own perfume will last two hours of process. You need to make this appointment one month early to secure your spot in their lab. They also has factory nearby that you can take a tour. The tour includes tour to their lab, ancient equipment, show room, and more. It was great to smell the fragrance during the tour. We did got a few bottles back home. There are three different types. The most pure it the oil base.

Tours are 30-45 minutes, depending on the size of the tour and questions that we may have. Tours are also in many different languages. A fun interactive tour, see pictures. Good to learn about the history, the making of their perfumes, etc. Ambiance - Several factories, not sure if the one we visited was their main one...? This one is of good size. We also visited a few of their retail locations; see other reviews. Easy access. Parking, tour buses, etc. Clean free toilets. Open daily. Service - 5 stars, from the tour team to all the sales people. Workshops available; see their website. Price - Tourist prices, but they still made good gifts. Loads of choices -perfumes, eau de toilettes, soaps, lotions, and more! We purchased a perfume, and a couple of eau de toilettes, all of which were wonderful, and reasonably priced. I really like how they sell large "bulk" versions of some of their Eau de toilets. I ended up picking up a reasonably priced bulk bottle for about ~80 Euro, and then purchased a small spray bottle for about 10 Euro. If you do buy their spray bottle, just know that the inner bottle opening is small, so you may need to use a funnel to fill it without spilling. We loved Fragonard so much, we ended up shopping at the Nice Airport store as well. Prices at the airport were the same as in-store, which is great. Thanks again to Ana for answering all of our questions and providing excellent service. Also, thank you for the samples!!! If you're coming to Ezé, be sure to stop by. I was vacationing in Nice and being from the states, wanted to pick up a perfume from comptoir sud…read morepacifique which is difficult to find there. ok, so to be clear I'm an American with basic French skills- enough to communicate what I am looking for and what I want to try, which is technically all I need. Being from the states, I'm used to buying perfumes at sephora or department stores, all of which have a liberal open door policy in terms of trying fragrances; not so with rose de france. All the perfumes are stocked behind counters and if you want to smell a fragrance you have to ask the associate to let you try some. Overall the lady I got was very miserly with letting me sample the various fragrances, she would take them out one at a time and would spray onto the test strips and only give me the test strips. I smelled 3 fragrances and felt obligated to rush and buy one because of her bored/annoyed attitude which made me feel as if I was inconveniencing her. Totally unprofessional. In general, French customer service leave a lot to be desired. This is more of a place to go if you already KNOW what you want and are looking to pick it up, NOT a place to play around and find your scent. That being said, the prices did seem cheaper than regular retail. purchased my 3.3 bottle for 49euro, reg price is 70 euro.
