The interior and exterior are consistently spotless, and my car genuinely feels like new after every visit. The value is also strong compared to other locations. For comparison, I recently paid $25 at Flagship for an exterior wash only, and the back of my car was still dirty, including an unclean rear windshield. This was my first time getting my car washed in DC. Typically in Jersey I'm used to paying $13 for a car wash but every car wash that I've seen in DC is $20+ with most of them being detail shops. Today I decided to treat myself...well my car. Montana Car Wash is one of the only car washes in DC. You can get a regular car wash for about $20 or get the works for $25. The works includes an extra shine coat, under carriage spray, wheel cleaning and tire shine. What I loved most about this place is that the team was kind and quick. There were 3 guys working in the front getting your car prepped to go through the wash. They vacuum your car and spray down your mats for you. This was an amazing surprise because my mats are always crazy dirty. At the end of the wash there were 5 attendants that wiped down your car, added the shine and they even wiped down my interior doors that are often very dusty. Coming from Florida where there's an automatic car wash every mile, it's been so difficult to find one in DC. This one is tucked fairly residentially, but it gets the job done with the extra mile of a quick interior vacuum. The guys work quickly! You'll pop out for them to do a quick vacuum before you take your car through the wash on your own, then get out again at the end to pay while they wipe your car down. It was about $24, don't forget to tip! A touch pricey but nice to swing through every now and again. read more

They vacuum the inside of your car, use the hose and scrub your car, then you drive through the car wash, then they dry and shine your car. The guys were all really nice. This use to be my favorite car wash! Lately they have been hall washing my car. I always get the works. Today I have to pint out to workers that they didn't wipe down inside my car and left the wet mats piled up on the back floor. I finally go to the owners who are always amazing and it was rectified. This is why I'm giving them a three. I decided to leave a review however because what I didn't see until I got to work was that my tires were not done. This was my second time using this car wash. I went earlier today for a full wash. The gentlemen who started my wash with vacumming were friendly and efficient. I asked for the works for $21. The first time I went was a few months ago and I was instructed to go into the building, but this time they asked me to wait by my car and when they finished vacuuming, I got back into the car and rode through the car wash. I checked out the vacuuming job and they did very well. At the end of the car wash I was directed to pull the car out and two other nice gentlemen started on the inside. One of the gentleman was a bit too friendly as he called me "mama" and "beautiful" multiple times. Regardless of that, I then went back inside to pay, which was a quick transaction. When I came back out my car was not being serviced anymore and the driver's door was open. I looked around and asked the friendlier gentlman working on another car if my car was ready and he said "yes mama." So the overall process took less than 10 minutes, however, after I pulled out of the wash and was by the New York Ave intersection, I noticed that they didn't even touch the dashboard. It was still dusty so I looked around other parts of the inside and it didn't seem as if they did much to the rest of the inside either. I could see streaks on the window from where they were wiped, so if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have none they even touched the windows either. I was fairly disappointed because the experience started off so well but I ended up paying $21 plus $7 tip for a partial car wash. They might have been distracted because the customer ahead of me had apparently been missing one of her car mats but I'm still disappointed that my car wasn't serviced properly. I might go again, but I'll probably try other washes in the area first. read more

Overall I had a really good experience here and it exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely come back here. At first I was skeptical this place even existed. There was scant information about it on Google Maps and only 1 review on Yelp. Upon arrival, I only became more skeptical and a bit nervious. As I pulled up I just saw a bunch of guys sitting idle staring at me and the building itself looked rather run down. But as I drove around back my fears subsided. There were 2 police cruisers in line, so at least I wasn't gonna get robbed. And hey.. if it's good enough for cops to get their cars washed, it's probably good enough for me. They did a good job vacuuming out the interior of my car and the outside was nice and clean. Prices are very reasonable too for the city. I paid $17 for the deluxe wash + wheel polish. Skipped the tire polish, since I don't care much if my tires are shiny or not. Best part is that you can walk alongside your car and watch it get cleaned while waiting. The price point is very good and the service for what you get is pretty solid, but I have had 1 instance in which my wheel was nicked and another (today) in which my wheel got a pretty bad rash due to their staff not directing me properly onto the conveyor. The dude literally directed me straight when I should have cut to the right. When I explained it to a member of management he directed me to a wheel shop and said he would discount a future car wash. My minivan was parked under a shedding tree, popular with birds, during a rain, so one side was covered in stuck on flower petals and bird droppings. The inside also needed cleaning, with dirty mats and spilled cereal. I got "The Works" ($21 plus $2 Van Surcharge) and they did a decent job. Outside is 85% clean, with still a few flower petals near the bottom of the doors, and stuck to the roof rack. Mats are mostly clean, though they put them back in wet and didn't snap down the front weather-tech mats. (Back most mat is still dirty.) They cleaned the inside front windows and windshield and wiped down the dash, but didn't go beyond vacuuming the second row seats. I know a place on New Hampshire where I can get EVERYTHING cleaned for about $5 more, so will probably go there next time. read more

I went on a weekday. No appointment was needed. I was in and out of there in less than a half hour. As you drive up, a staff person asks what kind of service you want. You step out of the vehicle for a few minutes while two persons vacuum the interior. You step back in, put the car into neutral, and the car rolls through the wash, which takes about 2 minutes. Genuinely the best car wash I've ever had. Paid $18 for a thorough vacuuming, rim polishing and inside dusting/door wipe down. Super fast and efficient. I also thought I may have left my wallet on the counter and when I called to check, the gentleman on the phone watched all of the camera footage from when I came in and even invited me back to see the footage if I needed. I was skeptical just cause the outside is a bit dodgy but I took a chance based on another reviewer, but you pull around the back, they vacuum your car and give you a ticket based on what services you want. You stay in the car for the car wash machine, afterward they clean up by hand any missed spots outside the car, and clean the inside of the windows etc while you step inside to pay. read more

Quality customer service! I went to this car wash on 5/9/2015, and upon payment, I realized I lost my debit card. The cashier gave me ample time (about 25-30 minutes) to check my purse, and call my friends to check in other places. Unfortunately, no luck. It's not a business in the best shape (old equipment, the spray from one of the tire-level spouts seemed... sad.), but it is one of the few in NE DC that have the undercarriage wash that'll prevent your muffler from getting eaten by rust and falling off. They had around 6 people just sitting around and no one seemed interested to do anything. The owner was fake being nice and was more or less telling me to leave.
