I worked with this company years ago (2015) for business purposes, so when the laundry machines were offline in my apartment building, I tried them again. I went to their website, downloaded the app, and scheduled a pickup for the next day. I was meticulous and bagged my items by type (40 degrees, 30 degrees, and gentle cycle). I used trash bags and then weighed them. The driver called me the day of and gave me a window of time and came directly to my 8th floor apartment door with a giant, rolling bin to pickup my four bags. He is the hero of this story. When the cleaners had questions, he called me. Then we picked a time for him to drop-off based on my schedule. My clothes came back in clear, plastic bags all folded and yes, smelled clean. I could track everything in the app and the receipt was sent to me via email with the breakdown. My weight (of clothes) matched theirs and I was not surprised by the bill. This was my first time using a laundry service, and I have to say that every staff member that I interacted with did such an amazing job with customer service and ensuring that everything I needed for my elderly disabled mother was taken care of. From the guys who took calls to the people who washed the clothes to the delivery man, all the customer service was top-notch notch and I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to someone else. This past weekend was my first time dropping my clothes and comforters off for wash and fold. My friend suggested this place and they were readily available for my drop off. Their prices are a bit high at $1.39 per pound and $20 per comforter. I was a bit annoyed because the woman first told me it was going to be $16 for comforters. They ask you your preference of scented and unscented detergent. Same day service isn't always available, so I had to pick up my things Thursday evening. When I arrived everything was nicely folded and compacted in clear plastic bags; like they used a vacuum to get the bags as tight as possible. It was so much easier getting all my comforters in the car that's for sure. I've only opened one bag so far and I'm pretty satisfied so far. I definitely was not a fan of the price but the service was pretty good. I'd give it another shot if I had to. read more

I run a clothing boutique and am my brand's model. Thus I have A LOT of clothes. This service is just what I needed to stay on top of my clothing overflow. The staff is friendly and my clothing is always folded nicely and ready to put away. I use the dropoff service as they are not too far from my home. I figured I deserve a little indulgence in life. Although I still wash some items at home, AML takes a lot of the burden off and days of me using my single washer and dryer to do the same job. I also have used their machines to wash/dry linens. Potholes in parking lot but apart from that great place. Friendly staff and extensive hours. I think they're open from 6 am - 11 pm daily. They take cash or credit for wash and fold but I don't know if you need coins for self wash machines. Nice extras like free WiFi and free parking in the aforementioned "potholy" parking lot. Lots of comfortable seating and a large folding table in the middle of the floor. I've only ever ventured into the wash and fold area which is right near the side entrance door so I have no idea how big the rest of the facility is. Vending machines include healthy snacks like my absolute favorite pirate's booty and is well stocked. You can't go wrong using this place. Dropped off my 44 lbs of laundry (don't judge I've been on work travel the last month ) at 7 am and it will be clean, folded and ready for pick up after 2 pm today. They do the weighing right in front of you too which is nice. Another perk is that this place is metro accessible being right across the parking lot from the west Hyattsville station. I of course did not go the metro route since I didn't want to lug 44 lbs of dirty laundry on the metro. Cost is $1 per pound for wash and fold. read more

This. was my first experience with American Mega. I had planned to drop off my things. I had a comforter and a number of sheet sets. However I couldn't carry them out to my car, they were just too heavy. I called around 4 pm and. Syid said they would pick up my things in a couple of hours. They did. I got a call the next day saying that my laundry would be delivered that day. It was. My things were clean, they smelled fresh but not scented, and the folding was fantastic, so compact and neat. disappointed bc the worker tried to overcharge me double for the same cushions that I've been bringing yearly to be cleaned. So I am Clear that next summer I won't be coming back. They normally charged me $30 or 35 for 2 furniture cushions a wash no dry bc they cannot fit in the dryer. She quoted me $60 for 2 and we settled on $45 dollars, after the manager negotiated. PLEASE READ for detailed exceptional experience: I used to be an avid customer of Rinse but started to feel uncertain of the quality of the actual cleaning when I got our clothing back because they did not have their own facility and I was never sure who their third party partners were that they used to do the actual cleaning. The fact that they had a dedicated team of professionals handling basically our entire wardrobe and large household items AND their own facility with dedicated washers and dryers that observe CDC guidelines made me feel like a huge weight was lifted because I knew everything was in good hands. They had one of their best drivers, Mr. Tony, pick up and hand deliver our laundry which was all sorted out, nicely folded and so fresh and clean. FANTASTIC wash & fold spot! Not only do they do a great job, but they are also the cheapest ($1 per pound) that I've found w/this level of quality. On top of that, they have a yelp check-in deal that you get $10 of of 50 lbs or more when you check in there. Last time I went I ended up getting 53 lbs of clothes done for like .78 cents a pound w/that deal! The staff is ALWAYS super friendly, and they are pretty quick. I dropped off about 6 bags of clothes and they were all washed / sanitized, folded, and delivered to my apt about a day and a half later. They made it easy for me with great communication, and they took good care of my clothes. There's also an App you can download and use to drop off your laundry and customize it for washing and or just to use your card in order to get cash to wash your own!! I often find going to the laundromat kinda stressful and a huge inconvenience. However, I am super psyched to have found this place. Im a student so I can't usually afford the wash and fold services so I use the coin operated machines. This place had a great self-serve area. I went on a Sunday early afternoon and it was not crowded at all. The price for the triple load machines was 15 quarters (3.75) and they only take about 25 minutes. Their is plenty of parking (free) and a variety of laundry products (detergents, softeners, etc) if you forget yours. It's relatively out of the way so it's not in the middle of crazy traffic but it also is close to grocery stores, fast food, etc so it's convenient if you have a"to do" list. They have change machines, but I didn't see any ATMs so you may need to bring cash with you. They also had wifi and sell ice cream as well. I am updating my review and docking a star. The past handful of times I've gone it's been pretty dirty there. I wouldn't revise my review if it were every single time for quite awhile now. The bathroom has been especially bad. I can't say enough good things about these wonderful people- they have the best customer service- always kind and caring. I use the delivery service . There have been times when I have literally been so backed up that I felt like I sent every piece of fabric we owned. They designate one machine to your job. You are never thrown in with other folks stuff. They abide precisely to your instructions regarding temperatures, softeners, etc. It's not all thrown together. They'll even hang for you- and they supply the suds. Things are folded beautifully and look as though they have been pressed. This is door to door service - Tony is truly great and will work with you as best he can to accommodate your schedule. I was scared that I couldn't afford it, but when you work and are behind and exhausted it is a life saver . The price is very reasonable and the quality and customer service superb. Always professional, always accommodating, can't beat the price. As a busy professional single mom, I can get on the app and set up a pick up, and they are immediately responsive to set up a time for pick up and drop off. Clothes are always Uber clean, neatly folded and done quickly. I have a queen-size goosedown featherbed (mattress topper) with a urine stain on it. I couldn't find anyplace that would clean it. After lots of internet research, including competing opinions about whether or not featherbeds could be washed and whether dry-cleaning fluid damages feathers, I took it to American Mega Laundromat. Because of the size and thickness of the featherbed, they said they couldn't guarantee the outcome, but at $35 to clean it and being unable to use it anyway, I thought it was worth trying. The featherbed came out perfectly clean. The feathers loft the same as when it was new. I couldn't be happier with their service and their price.
