My friend and I just visited here for dinner. The food was good but our waitress whose name tag said Beth was nice, polite and very pleasant to be around. The staff was very rude with attitudes including the night manager. Our food was really greasy and incredibly COLD!!!!!Tried to bring it to managers attention but she really didn't give a rats ass . I've been to this restaurant many times and had good meals but the last two years. Quality has drop drastically servers/cooks are very inexperienced and it shows. Management says they been having problems retaining employees and understand the problem. such a shame. read more

At one time I would have said the Montana Nugget (then Gold Nugget) had some of the best food in Flathead Valley. Prime Rib and fried chicken were a favorite of mine. The salads used to taste fresh and there were several other tasty dishes at reasonable prices too. But, something is different now. The fried chicken doesn't seem taste like the best chicken I remember. The salad tastes like bagged salad. I had a French dip sandwich that tasted microwaved. All the dinners in the last year seemed to be less than average, but I am hoping they get a chef or whatever it takes because I will miss them if they don't. Giving them three stars might discourage improvement, so I will give them two. read more

I and my husband eat in your restaurant this morning. It was very busy and our waitress was overwhelmed I am sure I would have been as well. She was pleasant and efficient. Now for the problem. This has happened enough times to us and not only at your establishment but others as well. We are eating out to have a pleasant meal away from home only to have it disrupted by a child running rampant around the tables and a parent not disciplining him. I have come to conclusion that I will not allow this to interfere with my meal. " I told this young man he should sit down" to which his mother lunged at us with a verbal assault yelling at both I and my husband. Fortunately we about to leave by then we had endured enough. I feel for the work staff who had to dodge this youngster and the other patrons I know didn't appreciate it either. This is a sign of the times, that children aren't raised they are allowed to grow. They have NO manners or respect and the only way they get that is through parenting. Thank you for allowing me to vent. Now for a suggestion please seat people with children in a different area. You have a large enough restaurant that could be done I think. Some restaurants will even post a sign stating if children misbehave they can be asked to leave. We have lived in Kalispell for 8 years and this was always one of our favorite eating places. Last night we went there for a rare evening out and were looking forward to the usual excellent food. My husband always orders the fantail shrimp and this time I ordered the prime rib. We got our salad right away but sat for a total of about 30 minutes before the waitress came back to tell my husband they were out of shrimp! He then had to reorder. When our food finally came, my prime rib was tough and dry and the hash browns were not good. The waitress said that they had a new cook. After spending $50.00 on a meal that was not worth the money, I think we will hesitate to go back here again. We were very disappointed. read more

I don't know how the food is but the drinks are good and they have like 20 machines to gamble. I gambled here and like it and won some money. The mystery prize thing was the best bonus. Place is like a dotty's in las vegas but montana version. 60 bucks you can last a few hours. Good to get away and have fun. read more

I'm used to Oregon casinos, where you get the slip of paper when you cash out, and can use it at another machine or take to a cash machine and get your balance. Went to my first Montana casino yesterday, Montana Nugget Casino, when done playing video poker, pushed button, my balance was $10.45. Worker came right over when she heard it printing out the paper, she takes the paper, hands me two $5s and walks away? Is that the norm in Montana, they keep the change?! If they do that every time a person cashes out from a machine, that's a lot of money! Again, is this the norm here? read more

I have been here a couple of times, the last time was when my family reserved a table for our large group one evening for dinner (not my choice) and it was a terrible experience. My order was "lost" so I had to sit there while everyone else ate. My order arrived after everyone else at my table was finished eating. It's not fun to eat while 15 people are waiting on you. The food was mediocre at best. There was poker game on in the middle of the place and the players were using very bad language. Loudly. My children were with me so I did not appreciate that.
