On our last night in the area, we had to try Gunsigbt Saloon. It was highly recommended by the locals with good food and live music. It was popular, so the line to order was long but went through fairly quick. Food and drinks are different lines. When you get your order in, find a table and the beeper will page you when it's ready. We got burgers, one with fries and with the watermelon. Burgers were delicious. Cooked smashed style, they had nice crispy edges. Watermelon was fresh and juicy. Fries were crispy. Great dinner. While the food is good, the music was even better. It was a solo guitarist who sang classic country. He was great. Many were sending up tips with a request and he did a great job of being able to handle most requests. The outdoor setting was awesome and the stage allowed everyone to see the entertainment. On street parking was easy. Great stop. read more

Chips and salsa - decent but non descript. Really shouldn't be more than $5 for what you're getting. Literally store bought chips with a cup of salsa. Strawberry and Walnut salad - refreshing and tasty. Burnt ends - meh I've had much better. If you're really jonesin for some I guess they're OK. Curry chicken salad pita - it was okay but lacked depth. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Sweet potato fries were definitely worth the upgrade however! Regular fries had an odd aftertaste. Just get the sweet potato upgrade. Caesar and burger I heard were good. The best thing this place has going for it imo is their homemade ranch dressing! Wow very good. Fresh and tasty, everything ranch should be. Tbh very disappointed with this place. It was overly packed with people, had poor signage that YOU HAVE TO ORDER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RESTAURANT - THEY WILL NOT COME TO YOUR SEAT! Our "waiter" gave us water and cleaned the table but never told us this so we waited 20 min and would have waited another hour if we didn't figure it out. AND you have to order drinks at a separate place outside. My biggest gripe food wise is that the Mac and Cheese looked REALLY good but they don't offer it other than as an entrée. Poor move imo as a restaurant move! Servers were very rude as well. It is cool they have outside live music I must say and the ambiance is cool. Conversely, I do have to say my wife thought this was her favorite food so far in MT for what that's worth. In the future, I'd rather head across the street to North Fork Pizza than risk going back here. The pizza smelled diviiiiine from outside! read more

This was our first stop when we arrived in Montana for the Big Sky Festival and it kicked off our vacation perfectly. The food is incredible and the setting spectacular with indoor and outdoor seating and live music. Even the merchandise was great. I recommend the burnt ends and my wife loved the dirty fries and cucumber gin and tonic. You do have to order at a counter and pick up your food when the buzzer goes off but they were quick despite how busy it was. It was so good we went back again while in town! read more

We weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was when we stopped by for dinner on a Monday night. With a band playing, the outdoor area was popping, and we soon learned the inside was too. Everything is ordered at the bar, after standing in a long line. It wasn't until after I ordered that I was told it would take 45-60 mins to get the food. Oh well, it was late, and there weren't really an other good options, so we waited. Our buzzer buzzed less than 40 minutes later, so I went to the bar to get the food and condiments. At least they've got. Good system down. Burgers were really good. My Yumi Yumi was a gooey mess, but the burger was cooked well, and the flavors were delicious. My wife liked her veggie burger too. Gunsight Saloon was our first stop in town, and it made a great first impression. We tried The Last Chance Burger and The Sportsman--both were generously portioned and tasty. We subbed in sweet potato fries, which ended up being the real star of the show as they had great flavor. We also shared two mini cupcakes--key lime and tiramisu--which were perfectly sized. The atmosphere was cozy yet lively with live music playing outside, and the interior had a great rustic vibe. The service was decent, though it's worth noting that orders are placed at the counter and picked up via buzzer. Overall, I'm giving Gunsight a solid 4/5 stars for the good food, atmosphere, and good customer service. read more

Fun place. We sat outside to get ready for the live music. The guy was good! You go to the bar area and order your meal. They give you a buzzer and then you grab your food. I got the catfish po-boy. It was moist and seasoned really well. I also got sweet potato fries as my side. They were crispy enough and I had asked for ranch for dipping. We knew Sunday was prime rib night, and they don't accept reservations. Since they open at 5 pm, we arrived at 5:30. We were greeted by a sign that said, "Seat yourself, order your drinks from the bar and food from the kitchen." There was a one-man band setting up to play, so we found a table, went to the kitchen, and then up to the bar. After ordering food, they give you a plastic buzzer so you know your food is ready. The prime rib had excellent smokey flavor, but it was a little tough. (I would order it again) The baked potato was just a little undercooked, and I would hold the cheese sauce next time. We started with the Burnt Belly Ends, which were very tasty. For the main course I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and my wife had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with fries. My wife had a Bloody Mary and I had a non-alcoholic zero punch. The food and drinks were delicious! To order food and drinks you have to wait in separate lines, but the staff are friendly and efficient. I took my family here to grab a bite while visiting friends in C Falls. I had been here for concerts and drinks before, which were good experiences. This visit was my first time getting food here, and will be the last. I got the cheese steak sandwich, which was small and the meat tasted off. My wife got a room temp burger with cold fries . Our son got chicken tenders that were so dry he wouldn't eat them. I know it's bad when my 11 year old won't eat chicken tenders, even with the help of ranch and ketchup. They were not busy at all, so there was no reason for cold food. For the prices they are charging, they could at least make something decent and hot. If you are coming here to drink and see a band play, then it's worth a visit. As for the food, go anywhere else. It's terrible and over priced. read more

Overall my boyfriend and I are giving gunsight a 4/5 stars, the interior was on point, the food was yummy, and the service was speedy. To order you stand in line and you receive a buzzer when your food is ready, efficient model, but loses the personable feel of being waited on. The Philly cheesesteak was good, but nothing special, just your typical cheesesteak. Same for the cesar salad. The sweet potato fries are what stole the show! Gunsight definitely knows how to make sweet potato fries, they were thin enough to be soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The flavor of them was amazing. The pricing was also slightly high, but with competing prices and tourist season it's to be expected. For example, the basket of fries was $11 and should have been about $8. read more

We stopped in for a late lunch after arriving from the airport in Glacier. There were 4 of us. We had hamburgers and a rib dinner. All were good. We also had the burnt ends appetizer- very good. I was kind of expecting the burnt ends to be tough but they were not - very tender and tasty with a tasty glaze on them. The only thing 2 of us weren't a huge fan of were the fries. Now they were fine, it's just the type they were that we personally don't like. The other 2 with us like liked them. We did eat some of them. The restaurant has a great atmosphere inside- old western saloon - which goes perfectly with the name. You can also sit outside. We sat inside as it was a bit chilly. This was highly recommended by our host and some publications we read everywhere else. This place has a huge outdoor park like benches where kids can run around. It has a stage for performance, there was a music when we were there. You went to the counter to place your order, they gave you a buzzer, you find a table, pick your food in the kitchen area after your buzzer goes off. The food is probably okay when they call you once it's ready, we waited for about 45 min for both meat and veggie burgers, Mac and cheese, fries, their special platter and burnt end belly. I checked 10 min before our buzzer went off, because there were a couple of people who ordered behind me they got their orders, ate and bussed their tables and our orders were not out yet. It turned out the Mac and cheese were popular that night and it took a lot longer to cook. As a result the rest of our order just sat on the counter. They should have called us and perhaps saved the dishes. The ribs were dry as well as the burgers and burnt end belly appetizers. No amount of sauce helped to add some moisture to the dish. The only decent meal is the Mac and cheese. The burnt end belly was overly sweet and salty, they must have poured 1 cup of hoisin sauce too much. The veggie burger was very disappointing both in flavor and texture. This place i think is not ready for vegetarian diner unless you just want to eat fries. I don't think I will come to this place again unless I just want a meat burger. read more

This place is cool because theres indoor seating then the whole space in the back for live music, a whole bar and bunch of picnic tables and chairs. You go up to order your food at their counter, you wait for your buzzer to ring and pick up your food so there's no servers but someone did bring us some waters. We got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries, huckleberry bbq wings and a side ceasar salad. Also a huckleberry mule. Philly cheesesteak sandwich 4/5: fries were good. If you read my reviews it's rare when I give a 3 star review. I love restaurants and admire the effort and determination it takes to succeed. Some misses for me...No servers at table side. You stand in a line and place your order at a cashier. It's not personable. I felt much is lost in our connection to a server. Some of our food came out cold. It wasn't great!! The menu is diverse and there is plenty to like about the food selections. Pricing was fine!! Among the misses there are some major hits!! The backyard feeling outdoor space is crazy good and ambiance is off the charts!! Our bartender outside was amazing and she won the day for our experience!! She was witty and quick with a drink !! If you know what you are getting into without table service most likely you wouldn't be as disappointed as I was.
