3 stars only because the service was absolutely amazing. From our hostess to our waiter. Food on the other hand was not the greatest. Between the 3 of us, there were 2 orders of all you can eat ribs (you can switch up the rib sauce for each round), which came with a side of choice (mashed potatoes, beans or fries) and brisket sandwich. The brisket smelled funky, the apple butter BBQ sauce was good though and the fries ordered extra crispy were really good. The ribs were dry and over cooked, the mash was definitely not real mash as it was not creamy and also very dry. The water was stinky. The strawberry lemonade was pretty good though, not too sweet and was refreshing. The donuts were way too greasy but the caramel sauce that came with it was delicious.

Veggie burger and fish & chips take out order

We had a gift card to Montana's and decided to get some take out. The hubby got the fish and chips which he stated did not "taste fresh." I got the veggie burger which was bleh. They forgot the apple butter bbq sauce, which gives the burger some kick. The fries were good, and the bun was "fresh." The saving grace from the order was the mini donuts with dulce de leche sauce. **soooo good** Overall, this experience reminded me why I no longer eat at Montanas.

One of my favorite places to eat with family and friends. Staff are always friendly and their food is always excellent. I really recommend this place. When we got here we were told that their is around 30 min wait, but to be honest it didn't even seem that we were waiting that long to be served and seated.

Montana's it's one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Their burgers are quite amazing but this time I came I got a few different items. Andrea and I got three great dishes: Kapow shrimp Smoke pork poutine Pull pork nachos The Kapow shrimp was tasty and delicious. The server warned it might be spicy but in fact it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. Yummy on the pork poutine. It could have used a bit more cheese though. Pull pork nachos I wasn't a super fan of. Not to say I wasn't good but in would prefer a chicken nachos instead. I'm not a huge fan of pull pork but I wanted to try it.

My wife and I went here for dinner last night. We were sat immediately and didn't wait long for our server to arrive and take our drink orders. She was polite and friendly. She pointed out the drink and food specials and then let us take our time deciding what we wanted to eat. I ordered a 34oz Beau's Lug Tread (yay for local brews!) and my wife ordered some kind of alcoholic lemonade drink. For our meals, I had the brisket burger, and my wife the southern chicken burger. Our food arrived promptly and both were delicious. Overall, the service and food was great. Our bill before tip was around $48. Note that the restaurant was renovated in the last year or so.

We don't come here a lot, due to it being a chain, but when we do the bar keep (Karim sp?) makes our visit entertaining and quite memorable. A kind of guy who remember you from eight months ago and welcomes you back A super nice guy soy TIP: sit at the bar

    Brisket and pulled pork

Ordered take out food took over 20 minutes but looked like it was old. All the meat was dried out and the brisket was like jerky.

I don't usually write reviews for restaurant chains, because we all tend to visit whatever is closest to where we live. I happened to be at this location with my BF recently because he works in the area. I just want to compliment them on the friendly, attentive service and the stellar food. You HAVE TO try the chicken waffle sandwich. The side salad was lousy, but the sandwich was out of this world!!!

(Expect 45-1h wait time.) not bad as there are a lot of cute shops around. Both me and my partner got the Belmont breakfast. Has a bit of everything ($23) I gave my partner the bread and got his salad. He said the bread was really good. I really enjoyed my salad nice and fresh not sure what kind of leaves was used. First time I see that shape. Back to salad it was light and a little bit sweet. Potatoes are the next best thing on my plate. I like them he spice that was used, I added a but more salt on mine. The breakfast sausage did not give me heartburn... not guaranteeing anything but worth mentioning. I believe they were lighter in oil simply. My partner always trades them for bacon. I only got a half sausage, he had the rest. The last thing I want to mention is less positive. I usally like breakfast beans. Got excited when I saw the black beans. However, really disappointed nothing more than warmed out black beans. Not what I would expect from breakfast beans. I expect a maple or sugar flavour. You can pay $5 to add to your breakfast... mine came with them but I would skip. Unless unflavoured black bean is your thing.

The Long Version: I was sad to see Pomelo Hat at this location close down, but when I saw Taste Junction open up, I had to try it because you know, I like trying new restaurants, lol. Taste Junction serves up burgers, sandwiches and hotdogs. They don't have a fryer so no fries, chicken tenders, etc. My husband and I got a smash burger $10.99 and a BBQ pulled chicken burger $10.99 to share. But I wasn't crazy about the chicken burger and my husband liked both burgers so I ended up eating most of the smash burger whereas he ate most of the BBQ pulled chicken burger. The smash burger came with cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce and tomatoes. I got ketchup and mustard on it. It was nicely smashed, with slightly crispy edges. The flavour was good. It wasn't too salty. I liked that it was a plain bun without seeds. I would get this burger again. The BBQ pulled chicken burger I found too messy to eat because it feel apart easily. It had caramelized onions and lettuce. I added BBQ sauce. The flavour was ok. My husband liked it a lot though. Service was courteous. It was a one man show so there was a bit of a wait for the food but that's understandable. There's not a lot of seating to eat in. Just 4 seats facing the window bar seating style. I guess it's mostly a takeout joint. Street parking only. Review #201 (2025)

Our server was so pleasant and kind. She checked up on us often except when our little guy started acting up and we were trying to find her to settle the bill and get dessert. Not her fault, just kid stuff. When we did locate her things moved quickly. I don't normally eat at Swiss chalet due to it being mostly a meat and chicken place, and I don't eat that stuff, but sucked it up for the fam. They do have a vegetarian pot pie and a veggie burger, but I went with the poutine. The poutine was large enough to feed at least 2 to 3 hungry people. It was presented nicely and tasted good. They use real cheese curds, and the gravy was on point. While the place looks clean walking in. I did notice the walls to be dirty with handprints, and it was a bit dusty. I did notice some lipstick stains on the Hubby's glass that he was drinking from, but he didn't care, and some dust, and fluffss on the forks that were given to us. Again, service was very friendly, but I will only will come back if the fam asks just because the menu isn't favourable to my lifestyle. It is also attached to a Harveys, and the bathrooms are shared, although you are not allowed to bring or order Harveys items on the Swiss Chalet side. Parking lot can get a bit insane since its shared with a Tim Hortons.
