I have white teeth for a 58 year old and had a small chip on my front tooth I made an appointment for a consultation. I had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. The first dentist who saw me said "wow you have great teeth, that's an easy fix" please go out front and make an appointment. They quoted me $600 for a composite and said would be just like a filling and take 20 mins to fix. They asked me, would you like to pay now? My appointment was the next week so I declined. I came back the following Saturday and they called to cancel as I was circling to find a parking spot. This was 10 minutes before my appointment. I went on vacation with a chipped tooth and when I came back the third time I waited an hour to be seen. I saw a third dentist who told me I needed a deep cleaning before my appointment (which they couldn't do that day) and recommended I needed veneers ??? When I said i didn't want veneers they came out and said my bill would be $475 for the composite.. This office is all over the place, I missed 3 days of work and still no fixed tooth!!! I booked with Dr. Ferguson in Upper Montclair that day and at 4:00pm my tooth was fixed for a reasonable price and looks beautiful. Avoid this circus! I felt crazy going here. read more

Don't be fooled by the 4 star reviews. I've been a patient at Montclair Dental Spa for about four years, but my recent experiences have left me extremely disappointed. Two years ago, I inquired about getting veneers for my wedding. After a test run, I made it clear that I was unhappy with how they looked and chose not to proceed. Despite not receiving the service, I was told I still had to pay $6,000. Recently, I spoke with someone in their finance office who confirmed that I shouldn't have been charged, and that the employee who insisted on the payment is no longer with the office -- yet they still refused to reimburse me. On top of that, during my most recent visit, I was told I needed five filling replacements and had two new cavities -- an estimated cost of $2,000. Concerned, I sought second and third opinions from two other reputable dentists, both of whom confirmed I did not need any of the treatments Montclair Dental Spa recommended. I'm extremely disappointed with how this practice operates. It's clear to me now that their primary concern is financial gain, not patient care. It's upsetting to witness such unethical behavior in a healthcare setting. I would strongly caution anyone considering this office to get a second opinion before agreeing to any expensive treatments. I had been a bit neglectful with the upkeep of my oral health due to a slew of reasons but once my gums showed signs of a bad infection I reached out, got an appointment for the next day and was able to get on a game plan to remedy everything. I was very worried about the financial burden but they offer financing and were willing to work with me step by step to make sure I am getting the outcomes I want and need. They have such great customer service on the phone and even more in person, the minute you walk in they're all very attentive and will strive to go above and beyond to make sure you have a great dental experience. If I could give zero stars I would. This place knows how hard it is to Sue a Dental office so they act on the belief they can get away with a lot of things they shouldn't. Ashley in particular will make you believe she cares about your situation and then overcharge you for services that aren't the State standard. If you have a serious issue or dental trauma, or even a cosmetic service you want to get done I implore you to go elsewhere. I went here for "emergency services" and ended up losing my front tooth and having numerous surgeries and nerve damage due to their negligence. The nightmare I experienced here with Dr. Fariba denying I had any infection after doing my bone graft which led to me losing more gum, and more bone density and needing gum graft surgery and bone graft surgery is unimaginable. My family and friends saw me suffer for over 12 months with horrendous outcomes at this place. I still don't have a front tooth until this day and have nerve damage in my face and lips where I often spit out liquid by mistake or miss the glass when drinking. My last visit here, I was in the waiting room speaking with another patient and she lost ALL feeling in her tongue. They don't but the correct needles for anesthesia and run out and use different needles. I promise you, it took me months to write this review as I waited for my nerve damage to go away as they promised it would and it hasn't. GO ELSEWHERE for any dental surgery ! read more

I was approved for $30,000 in financing through Montclair Dental Spa over two years ago, but I never received any dental treatment from them. Despite promises from the office that they would cancel the transaction and return the funds to the lender, they never followed through. Now the lender is holding me responsible for a loan I never used. This has caused significant financial stress. I've tried to resolve this with the office multiple times, but I have yet to see any meaningful action. I'm now exploring legal options to resolve this matter. Clara is the best! I always feel so anxious and insecure when dealing with my teeth. Clara made me feel so comfortable and confident that I would have great teeth and that she would take good care of me. I thought I would need the gas and whatever anesthetics, but she made sure I wouldn't be scared and just the right amount of anesthesia. I went to doctor Dental spa after a friend referral, boy that referral cost me a lot. They are driven only by money, treat you like an ATM, and the work they have done on me, I had to pay another dentist to get it done again. The wife only treat you nice when you are spending money, and the moment you start questioning what you are paying for, they don't even say hello to you or smile anymore. Last time I went there it was so awkward, and also they lie about a what you really have. They told me I had cavities and it was going to cost me 800 dollars for each, and went to different dentist he said I don't have cavities at all. Dr. Moussa and his team made me feel that I was safe in their hands and I truly was and am. Dr. Moussa has cultivated an environment where everyone is considered family even the patients. In October of 2021, I was unfortunately in an accident that caused me to chip my front teeth. My chipped teeth made me feel embarrassed to even smile. Other dentists would do a quick fix and just fill/ bond the chipped teeth but that did not resolve the issue. My first appointment was quick and easy, Dr. Moussa explained in detail what was going to happen including the timeline of the process, and how to take care of my teeth along with things to avoid. Dr. Moussa asked me an important question, what do I personally expect from this procedure all I could think about was being able to regain my confidence when speaking to someone and just feeling like myself again. After waiting a short period so that the teeth could be made, they finally came in! I was nervous and excited all at the same time. The process was painless and took approximately an hour and a half. I can not the visit was a total waste. The office clean, and well kept. The reception staff were pleasant informative happy and receptive. My interaction with "Lucy" was surprising. She went beyond assisting me. She took her time speaking with me. My discomfort can with interaction with the doctor. Although equally pleasant he appeared a bit distant that I didn't immediately take his recommendation. There were no xrays or any technical visuals for me (aside from what Lucy provided) to make a well informed decision. Dr. Moussa believes in quality. I am so afraid of needles! I chose this place because of "conscious sedation". They are truly understanding of your fear. Dr. Moussa works on "quality control". Sure, they are out of network. Who cares. Plan ahead for your health! It was a big lesson for me to learn. Squirrel away a little money each month. It's well worth it! I'm so done with all the massive drilling and my head being poked with needles! Word to all... If you get cleanings done every six months or even choose every 4 months like me, safe a little each month. I was quoted at $310 for a cleaning plus full x-rays. I have insurance so it will be submitted by them. Only a smaller percentage, sure. But if you've had the lifetime of dental drilling that I have...a full mouth of silver fillings by age 13... And you've decided "enough is enough"... Trust me... You will fall in love with this place and how professional they are! Got good credit? Get one of their payment plans. I did. I am, well, was, deathly afraid of going to the dentist for my whole life, and my trip to this office really turned that around for me and I got the care I desperately needed. I can't speak for the actual work because I didn't get that far. I went there for a consultation and it probably was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. Everything was RUSHED from start to finish the financial manager there was like a used car salesman where you couldn't get a word in. After consultation with another doctor who looked at my teeth. I went into a room with her as she ran my credit record which I approved ONLY if I was to proceed with the work I would take out a loan. I left out of there letting them know that I wanted to think about the whole procedure because additional work was needed which would cost me. Before I got out of that door I was escorted into another room which they told me they would scan my teeth even after me telling the lady I wanted to think about going through with the work. That was a mistake... not only after about two months of not getting back to them or them contacting me I received a notification about payments on a loan payment I didn't even get work done on. When I spoke to the financial manager over the phone about this she talked over me several times where I literally had to purse to let her talk. At first she kept trying to pressure me to proceed with the dental work which I didn't want to. I told her just refund the money that was already sent them from the loan company into their account so I can get this off my record as me owning them which I didn't even get work done. She finally agreed but charged me $350 for the teeth scanning that I had no idea I was being charged for as I thought that would be charged if I proceeded with the work. So I am now out of $350 I have to pay back on this loan and probably the worse customer service experience I have had in a lifetime. I definitely wouldn't recommend them and I told her that like some of the other comments I've seen after the fact it's true very high priced and would add based on my experience there the customer service during the initial process isn't the best everything was rushed in and out of rooms and I truly believe the lady who took my scan of teeth did it knowing that I would have to pay whether I came back to do the proceed or not it was like they was all in on getting money out of people one way or another which is sad read more

This is the first time I walked into a dental office in 33 years and felt like I was safe and welcome. From the second that you walk through the door you are welcomed by warm smiles and sincere care. Dr. Moussa is genuine and speaks softly. ( You will definitely not feel like you are just another person that they need to get in and out of the office.) After the consultation with Dr. Moussa I met a incredible woman named Fran. She didn't just start doing things to my mouth and teeth with out introducing herself and going over each process. This made me feel so relieved and comfortable, which are two hard words to come by when you are speaking about a dental office. She took her time and continually told me that my comfort was priority. I was introduced to another great woman but unfortunately forgot her name but she was also amazing. Everyone who works here is truly amazing and as the sign in the entrance says "Welcome to your new dental home" they mean this.
