Stayed here for New Year's Eve weekend. A sweet Bavarian get away spot. Our room was small but…read moreclean and adequate for the two-night stay. It's an older building on the river so it's not high luxury or filled with modern convenience (like an elevator). But we loved the chalet feel, the big fire in the lobby fireplace, the decor. The newer addition houses the restaurant and bar which are very spacious. Continental breakfast was included and a good start to the day. It's quiet, warm, clean and affordably priced. Very much like little hotels we've been to in Europe. Recommend for a short trip, and suggest getting a room with a view of the river if available.

Not inviting so we sat at a high boy in the darkened bar, which was much nicer. I'm sure it's beautiful to sit on the balcony in the summer on warm nights. We chatted with the German owner who was doubling as a bartender, who was very nice. We loved the German influences in the bar, as we had just been to Oktoberfest in Munich. The owner's daughter Sarah runs the kitchen. My husband had a pork tenderloin schnitzel "Vienna style" ($20) and I had a jaegerschnizel with mushroom gravy ($20) and both were excellent. We split the potato pancakes (two with sour cream and apple sauce, $12) which were served crispy but tasty. They had a nice German beer and wine list. We finished with a delicious apple strudel to complete a lovely meal. I recommend this restaurant for tasty dinners in a unique venue.

We stayed in a King Riverview studio unit on the ground floor in early November for our…read moreanniversary. We arrived a little early which the owner said was fine (they live onsite) but they were out to lunch upon checkin. They told us our room number and the door was unlocked. It had a nice deck with umbrella, but the weather was cold and foggy so we didn't use it. Room was nice but a bit dark and we could hear every word the upstairs guests were saying, so recommend staying on top units, even though you'll need to walk around in the summer to the river. The unit had a fridge, microwave, small stove, sitting area with tv, and small bathroom. It was a bit cold as the fake fireplace didn't work, but the AC / heater in wall unit did work. We couldn't sleep with it on because it was quite noisy. The Inn is in a pretty location right on the river but they have tons of weddings in the summer so it might be overrun with wedding guests and the ceremony / reception if you go (be sure to ask about it). They have a nice gazebo with coffee and ice and an outdoor fire pit which we didn't use. It's right in the town of Monte Rio which has a grocery store, coffee shop, movie theater in town. We golfed at Northwoods which is about 10 minutes down the road, and had dinner across the bridge at a German place which was quite good. At over $300/night, not sure it was worth it, but it was our anniversary and something different. The owners were very nice and improving the property. I would return in summer if there wasn't a wedding taking place.

They have fireplaces with extra chopped wood there's extra toiletries and a cute coffee station in your room. A communal area has BBQs and tongs, coffee in the morning with a collection of cups; Nothing here feels corporate or commercial. The room was clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. The woman at the desk was friendly and soft spoken, chill happy vibe. They even left us a handwritten welcome note. Sent texts to communicate checkin and coffee! 100% recommend and will for sure stay here again.

This hidden gem winery is tucked away in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley. It is absolutely gorgeous and provides an intimate and elevated experience that is definitely worth experiencing! If you are looking for an elevated experience in wine country, look no further! There is a garden area that overlooks the vineyards that we enjoyed during our food and wine pairing and the views were spectacular. They also have a cave as well as a RTV experience if you are looking for a unique private experience away from it all. The service at this winery is excellent! Some of the tastings are with Mary Roy herself and these experiences are extra special since she is the owner, chef, and winemaker. She is an incredible woman that excels at everything she does. Thankfully for me, that includes exceptional wine and food pairings! The food is flavorful and phenomenal and they even have bees onsite where the honey is used to make their amazing chocolates! You are in for a real treat with the food and wine pairings here! Highly recommend visiting Capo Creek Winery if you are in the Healdsburg area!
