The grounds took our breath away, but it was also Denise's expertise and understanding of our limited budget that helped us decide this was the right venue. Throughout planning Denise was amazing and answered all of my insane questions and did multiple tours with family members. We decided to go with Preferred Sonoma Caterers from their vendor list and we were really happy with them as well. Sova including tables and chairs was amazing, and we did all our other rentals through PSC. We also rented the farmhouse for the week which I highly recommend. Our pictures from around the house turned out amazing. I have to stress that the website pictures don't do this place justice. It's beyond gorgeous. Overall, Sova was an exceptional backdrop to our day and I highly recommend it as a venue. Schedule a tour if you're on the fence, you won't regret it!

We chose to rent out The Meadow space near the river to have an outdoor ceremony and had an indoor reception. First off, MRCC is good for those on a budget. The hall has big glass doors that can open out onto the outdoor area, giving the room a more spacious feel. We had around 70 guests and we could have fit many more. We loved the tall ceiling and wooden beams. The kitchen area was also spacious and manageable. I very much appreciate how much flexibility the center provided us. It helped give us freedom for creativity. Many other spaces we researched allowed only beer and wine, and made you choose from a limited selection of caterers (many, if not all, were outside of our budget). We could choose any caterer we wanted, and provided our own alcohol. Jean was a treat to work with. She was funny, kind, communicative, reliable, and prompt. Whenever I had a question she responded within a few days. She met us numerous times at the center and answered all the questions I had (many times I asked the same one twice, thank you for your patience). She was very warm and made the planning process more enjoyable. As for the meth head from the previous review (from 2013) I did not run into him. I don't think he lives there anymore. I did not have any problems with non-guests. Thank you for helping us have the wedding we've always wanted!

For this places age (like the Santa Cruz VMB) it is incredibly well maintained (great for Concerts- (The Grateful Dead used to perform at this old Santa Rosa facility !). We chose to go with Milestone because we wanted the support of a coordinator, and we loved that they regularly worked with specific venues and vendors - there are a lot of venues and vendors nearby and it gets overwhelming without guidance! We toured a few venues before falling in love with Russian River Vineyards, which despite living 15 minutes away from, we had never been to. It was perfect for us. Milestone made the touring process fairly easy, and our tour host Rachel was lovely. Marissa Sartory was our coordinator, and she was fantastic at her job! We had regular check-ins to make sure all the planning was on track, she helped me get set up with Aisle Planner (a planning website that Milestone uses), she recommended vendors, advocated when a vendor was slow to reply, met us at the rental place to assist in picking out table settings, answered all questions about budget, handled all logistical communication with vendors, emailed us helpful planning resources, was amazingly organized, and most importantly, helped the wedding day run perfectly. You just proved my point about your business Marshall .. unprofessional, needs work, and needs to stick to charging everything when it needs to be charged, not let us pay the invoice in full and then charge added charges weeks later. A coworker of mine just spoke to me regarding her wedding at Krug and low and behold, she's not happy with your services either, you were not transparent about the time/events taking place the day of her wedding and you gave her samantha which she said is inexperienced as well. It won't be me having the only problem with your company and others have huge issues with your company .. But how you went about everything like saying my budget/finances on an online platform without my consent and taking our deposit and applying it somewhere without our consent is poor form and illegal ... very unprofessional and not good if you work in our business.
