International Market has a wonderful, rich history, and food that was impressive to match! I was…read moresurprised by some of the unique options on the menu, namely, the fried chicken, which sometimes sells out. Fortunately, our friend made sure to reserve a dish for us when she made our reservation! I'm so glad she did, because I would have never thought to order a fried chicken at a Thai restaurant, but it was perfectly crispy, expertly done, especially considering it was gluten-free! I love pad Thai, so I was a bit disappointed that it was taken off the menu on the day that we went, but it seems like they rotate and change their specials pretty regularly. The service was great; it is a semi casual place, so it's quite comfortable and laid-back while the food experience is phenomenal! I will say it is a bit pricey for what you're getting and considering the fact that it is a more casual place, but nonetheless phenomenal for dinner service.

To make matters worse, the drink tasted like the milk had spoiled -- you could visibly see the issue in the drink, which was extremely off-putting. I also asked for a simple substitution of broccoli instead of the mixed vegetables, which should not have been difficult. Instead, I was told no because "it's just a scoop," which made no sense -- this was a basic request that could have easily been accommodated. On top of that, the service was incredibly rude. The woman helping me had a dismissive attitude and didn't seem interested in helping at all. Overall, not worth the $10 I spent for two below-average items and some of the worst service I've experienced. It's no surprise the place was empty. Save your money and go somewhere else. $5 for the smallest serving of vegetables I didn't ask for.

They have a bar, I got the limoncello spritz, which was exactly what I wanted in the 82-degree Nashville weather. The service is quick, from the time we ordered - we got the sandwich just few mins. They have a big patio area, a great spot to sit outside, relax, and people watch. Parking can be limited, but they do have a few dedicated spots and a free street parking if you get lucky. Otherwise, there's a paid parking across the street.

My food here was good. Not spectacular, but can you really make a spectacular muffuletta? What was…read morespectacular was how everything was packaged for delivery. I'll definitely be back. The muffuletta was a solid sandwich and really big. The potato salad was yummy. It looked to mayonnaise heavy, but it was flavorful and satisfying. The cannoli wasn't my fav, but it was fine. The shell was a little too hard, and it wasn't filled in the middle. Each item in the order was wrapped and taped separately. Then, the brown paper bag was stapled shut and a large sticker was taped over the bag's opening. It would have been very obvious if someone tampered with the bag. I really liked all the care they put into packaging everything. Overall, a good experience, and I'd go back.

The food is always made to order, and the customer service is warm and friendly--it's the kind of place where you feel welcomed every time you walk in. It's become one of my go-to lunch spots thanks to its consistent quality, speedy service, and authentic taste. The casual, no-frills ambiance adds to its charm--think market vibes with the scent of fresh tortillas and grilled meats filling the air. Also the aguas frescas are delightful and not overwhelmingly sweet.

The carniceria disappeared, then the bakery, and the nail in the coffin was the removal of the refrigerated and freezer section at the ack that once hosted an extensive collection of Mexican cheeses. The store doesn't even sell cotija anymore. What Mexican grocery doesn't stock cotija? My last visit was in mid-December of 2023 where Mazfresco was just a shell of its former glory with barely any products of interest, diminished produce options, and almost none of the items I use for Mexican cooking at home. Thankfully, we have an abundance of other options in South Nashville within a stone's throw of Mazfresco. But this business has unfortunately lost a faithful, 10-year customer.
