Fortunately, our friend made sure to reserve a dish for us when she made our reservation! I'm so glad she did, because I would have never thought to order a fried chicken at a Thai restaurant, but it was perfectly crispy, expertly done, especially considering it was gluten-free! I love pad Thai, so I was a bit disappointed that it was taken off the menu on the day that we went, but it seems like they rotate and change their specials pretty regularly. The service was great; it is a semi casual place, so it's quite comfortable and laid-back while the food experience is phenomenal! I will say it is a bit pricey for what you're getting and considering the fact that it is a more casual place, but nonetheless phenomenal for dinner service.

A little noodling online and this gem popped up... an Eastern European market with all sorts of goodies! If you haven't been, definitely check it out. It was hopping too! So many people in there. It's in Berry Hill right off Thompson Lane and has a huge parking lot so easy in/out. I'll definitely be back -- can't wait to try more from them!

The sweet pickles on it really made the sandwich stand out and gave it an awesome flavor. The atmosphere was really cool and felt very authentic. They also have a grocery section where you can buy authentic Italian sauces, pasta noodles, and other items, which was a nice touch. The only thing that surprised us was the fountain drinks being $5 each, but they do come in a souvenir cup. If you're looking for an amazing sub sandwich, I highly recommend Little Hats. The store doesn't even sell cotija anymore. What Mexican grocery doesn't stock cotija? My last visit was in mid-December of 2023 where Mazfresco was just a shell of its former glory with barely any products of interest, diminished produce options, and almost none of the items I use for Mexican cooking at home. Thankfully, we have an abundance of other options in South Nashville within a stone's throw of Mazfresco. But this business has unfortunately lost a faithful, 10-year customer.
