I went here once…read moreright when they opened up, and it was alright...but today, I was blown away for multiple reasons! I was greeted as soon as I got to the store (I believe her name was Sam), and not only was she very welcoming and personable, but she also had some snack style samples offered-and let's just say I'm pretty sure I just found my new favorite snack-Strawberry and blueberry pretzels! Then, as I was doing my shopping, I had another employee (I'm so sorry, I didn't catch their name!) ask me if I was finding everything ok, and I replied with what I was on the hunt for (a very specific vitamin) and they showed me right to them, and asked if I would like some help finding anything else! Honestly, I can't remember the last time that I went grocery shopping and had someone ask me if I needed help finding anything, so this interaction really stuck out to me. As I went to check out, I was greeted with a SMILE and a "how are you, did you find everything ok today?"....checkout was fast and friendly! I just felt like everyone working there went above and beyond to make my (usually dreaded) shopping trip enjoyable-from being helpful, to simply smiling at me as we walked past each other, and even the bonus snack samples. The places I normally shop at (closer to my place) seem to be filled with employees that have a "ugh I don't want to be here right now" vibe (if you know what I mean), and I think that after getting used to seeing that all the time, and then coming here and having this experience today is a pretty darn good reason for me to break up with my old grocery stores, drive a bit farther and just come here from now on. Cashier Sylvia charged me for 6 artichokes at 3.99 EACH , even though she asked what they were and I told her what I was buying were APRICOTS. I cant believe a grown woman doesn't know what an apricot is or that they are charged by the lb. 2nd cashier Jamilla who was generating all kinds of paper in process , never issued me the credit I am owed for SPROUTS mistake . 3rd the manager with long dark hair came flying over as she had to approve the credit which she apparently did not , and what were her first words to me before I could even say anything to her ? Not an apology but an angry "people make mistakes " . When I patiently tried to point out that even with the credit it was still .20 off, she opened the drawer and slapped 2 dimes into my hand. No wonder that store is not busy on a Saturday, it must have quite a bad reputation. And it starts with the management. This was the first time I came to SPROUTS in Madison , TN and it will be the LAST time. I was there because of emails telling me I would get 30% off my purchase . Instead I was overcharged 23.94 plus tax. No other grocery store has ever treated me so poorly. I will go to Whole Foods instead. I WILL NEVER COME TO SPROUTS AGAIN.

Perhaps her bold instructions would be better aimed at the cashier who moved around the force field to scan the cleaner violating my space. Just saying, if you're going to forcefully dictate what people are going to do, you might want to be nicer to begin with amd start the procedural conversation earlier. But calling me a jerk because i wouldn't break her own 6 ft rule? That's rude and uncalled for. There's no way to maintain 6 ft from the cash stand and check out.. politics... making rules that can't logically be enforced.

The best part about this location is the friendliness of the staff. Yep, every single time I have been here I feel that they are my person assistants. Nothing makes you feel better than having every single person that works at the location check-in with you to make sure that you are finding what you need. Want to make pasta sauce from scratch but don't want to boil and peel the tomatoes (take that Al Gore), come here and get (they have a variety to chose from) red sauce cans the size of your head. Imagine how big my eyes get! The have some really well-prepared products and the usual industrial restaurant low-quality foods. Why pay $5 at Trader Joes for 6 ounces of sundried tomatoes when you can get a pound of them here for the same price? Like feta? They have the real Greek variety in a massive pounder bag that is resealable (insert seal sound). Blueberries at Kroger are roughly $5/pint. Here, you can get 4 pints for about $7. They do have limited fresh veggies and fruit. They cut meat and cheese to order. You can get everything from breakfast foods to dinner, snacks to super pleasing in taste dessert foods. Also, basic cleaning supplies come in super sized portions which are great on the budget (less the back). Overall, GFS is a time and budget saver. Great for buying large and saving more. Although the typical "shaped meats" and prepared sides haunt the shelves, take the time and you'll find high quality products amongst the ghostly waist increasers. They even have tastings like Costco and Sams. Hahahhaha

They'll advertise a product like Lay's Potato Chips for example at 2 medium sized bags for $6.00, but when you go to the counter to pay for them they charge you $7.30. This happens a lot where the price on the yellow sticker below the product on their shelves doesn't match up with the one programmed in the cash register. Just think of all the money Dollar General rakes in at all of their locations across America. Do they do it on purpose (the ol' bait & switch scheme), I don't know. But it is illegal, so watch the register when you're checking out and speak up if they overcharge you. They'll fix it for you at the register, but it keeps happening so it must be an internal problem. Whoever programs the prices into the computer is doing something wrong and that's not fair to the customer. You're not getting what you pay for and that's not right.

Towards the back you will find the to go restaurant and I do have to say they have the best steak quesadilla in ALL of Nashville.
