Four of us ate here for breakfast. Two had salads two had breakfast meals. Everyone liked their meal and plenty on the plate. Service left a little to be desired. Waiter kept forgetting a few items like chips and salsa, asked for gravy twice and never came back to check on us or drink refills after brought our food. Workers cleaning off tables were throwing the dirty silverware in tubs so hard it was annoying and hard to carry on a conversation. But have to remember this is a small town so it is what it is. Wow. Again we are greatly disappointed in one of the very few dining options in Whitney. Walked in and no one greeted us or told us to just sit anywhere. We had to ask for every. Single. Thing. Like menus and drinks. We waited FOREVER for our burritos while trying to keep our hungry kids maintained with eye spy games. We watched a couple walk in, be seated, place their orders, eat and leave before we ever got our meal. Our burritos were ok but I had to open and salt mint because it was very bland. The street taco I ordered was the smallest I'd ever seen (a little smaller than a dvd) but it was actually seasoned and tasty. Food is good. However, I've had several problems getting waited on and getting the right order. Last time I went in, I had to go to the cashier and asked to be waited on. This was after I watched the waitress chat with people at another table. Never saw the new waitress after she delivered the order. Another time my husband sent back Queso because it was basically yellow water. They admitted to running out and watering it down. We keep giving chances though. I put a little of everything in my burritos, but the thing that really keeps me coming is the fresh tortilla I experience every single time. It is DELICIOUS. That as a base, plus most any of your favorite ingredients inside, and you have a five star burrito for any time of the day. I don't even live in Whitney anymore, but I still feel my stomach grumbling thinking about them. You have to try them.
