    The peach cobbler was amazing!

The greeting upon entrance was exceptionally friendly! The food portions were awesome and the prices exceptionally reasonable. My server was very kind and nurturing. We will definitely be back when passing through again.

. It's breakfast cold. I ask extra crispy hash and for mush. Eggs. Cold. Sausage.

Don't come on a holiday. Seated quickly but took an hour to get food. Server checked on us twice. No updates on time frame. For small town cafe food was disappointing today. Normally food is ok. Home cooking is a lil bland but good. The kitchen cannot keep up with the huge crowd. Two tables came in after us. Both got food before us. That's disappointing. Eat before you hit Whitney if it's a holiday folks.

This place was good but not the best home cooking we have had. The service was awesome I just think I should have ordered lunch or dinner meal instead of a breakfast burrito. After I ordered I saw others getting their food and started wishing I ordered something else. I would definitely return but would try a different item from the menu.

Hog burger (across table), bodacious burger (closest).

Took a trip through here to grab some plants. Stopped in because a few socials had some decent reviews. This is a very small town and I believe this may be the only cafe around. I could be wrong. On first appearances walking in it seems very small. Tho to your left there was 2 other sitting areas, seating was fairly quick. It's country, designed so, it's a small country town full of ranchers and country folk, there were what seemed the occasional lake goers. Staff was friendly. It was super busy, after church rush, food took a while to get to us. Tho in all fairness, we also took a while looking at the menu. Menu is American traditional country food. Cafe burgers, breakfasts, steaks, catfish, etc. Wife and I had the Hog Burger (bacon cheeseburger) and the Bodacious Burger (double Pattie's with bacon and bbq sauce). Both were really good. Good flavoring. The friends fries were crispy. Wife believes they were blanched. The pies, they have a big menu of pies and cakes, but be forewarned, they make them daily so if you go later, the choices will dwindle down. The key lime was great. Didn't have the green coloring like you'd normally see. Doesn't need it really. Wife had the Chocolate Meringue pie. It was good, but the chocolate was super rich. Overall, really good fare. Worth a stop.

We came in about 5:45 on Tuesday before New Years, and the place was basically bare. I was concerned. Went immediately to use the restroom, which was nostalgically decorated and clean as a whistle. The waitress was at the table taking to my husband when I got done, and my tea was already there, waiting for me, when I arrived. Now...the food: I got the chicken fried steak and hubby got fried catfish. Both were so clean and fresh I thought they'd been air fried! By the time the food arrived, dinner time must've hit, because as I write this from my table, the place is absolutely packed full of patrons. I didn't take a photo of my dinner, because I was busy enjoying it. However, I was able to get a quick snapshot of the husband's fish before he downed the last few bites. Seriously, this was the best southern comfort meal we've had in quite some time. We'll DEFINITELY make this a stop when we are passing through Hillsboro in the future! Seriously. Try them. You can thank me later, and ya might even run into Bubba while you're here!

And, this may be one of the best fried chicken sandwich and onion rings that I've eaten. My husband 's burgers was juicy, and the jalapeño sourdough bun was legit.
