We've been involved with the learning process (thank god) and have gotten emails from the s C oil when it comes to parents being concerned about politics being dragged through our schools. They seem pretty focused on education and play. My son has improved immensely and although he doesn't like waking up, he's usually very excited about going to school, what happened at school and what he learned. He always says "hey, that's one of my site words!" We had Mrs. Rachel in preschool (he fell in love with her). She held his hand every step of the way to get on the bus and took a picture of him riding in the bus with her and smiling and sent it to us. This was after he was crying and begging us not to bring him to school because he was scared of the bus for the field trip. His Kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Schaefer. He has loved her since day one. She says she likes to use him as a positive example for other kids and she's sent us pictures of him having fun as well. He's going to be heartbroken when he leaves in a few weeks. We met both of the teachers. Very down to earth, goal oriented, you could tell they love kids and are great with them. Even the teachers aids he has had good relationships with. So glad they didn't give up with some potty training mishaps. They have a reward system for when you're being a good person. Great counselors for the kids if needed. Their are some really passionate and protective teachers and staff around this school and I feel safe with him there. Not worried about anyone trying to change him. Just growing his brain and who he is. Not judging him for not being artistic or liking Singing. It will be a hard transition to go to another school for first grade, but I'm really glad that he was able to start out here in this safe school. There are always extra curricular activities and fun days. Right now they're counting down to the last day of school and celebrating each day. So Bittersweet. I see a lot of diversity in the school as well and he's picked up on a few new words in other language with his friends. Thank you Parker!

I love the peaceful environment, freedom of movement, independent style of learning and the focus on each child's "style" of learning. The combined ages of the kids in each classroom also offers them the unique opportunity to help the younger kids by being a leader. Our daughter loves going to school each day! Our kids have always enjoyed going and have learned more than enough to be prepared for Kindergarten in the fall. They cover every base you could ask for... safety, integrity, academic, and fun. They have an excellent play area that's private, the classrooms are well organized with fun activities, and they even go on field trips to the Discovery Center and Summerfield Zoo. Got Kidz is well worth every penny as it is not just a day care, its a school. I would gladly recommend enrolling any child, and we will miss everyone there!

I've had 5 kids attend the Rockton School District. I am a former teacher with experience in many…read moreschool districts and this one is my favorite! From the leadership at the top to the paras, counselors and bus drivers, they are good people through and through. The teachers went over and beyond to help my kids succeed and to feel good about themselves while doing it. They were creative and fun loving! The principals talk with us like a friend, working together to help our children. When one of my children was being bullied on the bus, I only had to mention it once and the principal was on it right away! No problems after that. The counselors helped my kids through some tough times. The staff listens and hears parental concerns. The office staff is kind and respectful. The athletic coaches were super too! Throughout all the years of our involvement with this district, we only had an issue with one 8th grade special ed teacher. Those are pretty good odds! I consider the Rockton School District to be at the heart of Rockton. My kids have made lasting friendships at Rockton Grade School, Whitman Post and Stephen Mack. I will always be grateful for the positive ways they have helped to shape my children.

The classroom teachers were amazing no matter which room they were in, and the owner and director are both wonderful women that care deeply about their staff and every family that enters their building.
