But Laurie's amazing! She was recommended to me by Michelle Graves (who is also amazing) when Michelle was on leave. I never thought about this until I read someone else's review but Laurie really is a wonderful listener with a calming presence. I've had a lot of stress in my life in the past from work and a car accident. Seeing Laurie improves my pain level and overall health. But I always leave Laurie's office much more relaxed and less stressed - I think in part it's her presence in addition to her skills as an acupuncturist. She takes care of muscle spasms, allerigies, insomnia, stress to just name a few. Like Teresa said, she will also offer suggestions for herbal remedies (even via email) and never pushes a sell which I've experienced before. I'm torn between Laurie and Michelle because both are the best. Bonus is Laurie has night hours. I do miss her Saturday hours though because it was nice to have the option to not cram in a session during the work week. She also accepts Blue Cross PPO.

Life-changing, life-extending! I know that sounds very dramatic but what I will tell you is that I…read morehave been an active, healthy, vegetarian for a very long time, but an excessively high-pressure job, along with other big life stressors including a cancer diagnosis, were consuming me. A few trips to the ER and dealing with anxiety as well as an emergency surgery were the icing on the cake. I needed help to reset and get back on track to a healthy and mindful way of life. I was suffering from high stress, extreme fatigue & low energy, foggy brain, pain & stiffness, digestive issues, anxiety, weight gain, high cholesterol, high blood sugars, and the list goes on...My body was screaming at me to make changes and I finally heard the message as a cancer survivor, I had wasted too much valuable time and felt like I was running out of time. I had worked with Lila a number of years ago and knew that she was the one that would be able to help me regain my health & wellness, so together we set off to turn things around. Lila's approach is fact/data based coupled with her expertise and experience to create a customized approach for me. We did food sensitivity and micronutrient tests to understand more detail of my current situation. We then started the MRT/LEAP protocol which sounds like a lot but Lila breaks it down so it is easy to understand and follow (certainly helps that she is INCREDIBLY organized). I really enjoyed the process as it really made me aware and more in tune with how my body reacts to the things I eat. I have also really enjoyed eating a whole food diet as the flavors are so wonderful plus she sets you up with hacks and ideas to make this much more practical - even for us really busy people! Lila has also been a tremendous guide and resource when it comes to sourcing recipes, ingredients, and alternative or unfamiliar foods and has been instrumental in helping me to remove harmful ingredients & chemicals from my day to day. Lila has been such a great partner, coach, and teacher on this journey. She has helped me set reasonable goals, pushed me, and held me accountable, all of which I am incredibly grateful for. The results have been remarkable - We have been able to move my cholesterol, blood sugars, and inflammatory numbers SIGNIFICANTLY in 5 months, getting most of my numbers out of the danger zones. I have also dropped 20 lbs and still going. We have reduced my symptoms (based on symptom survey data) by 91%. I feel so much better as all of my symptoms have dramatically improved or gone away. Lila has helped me to relearn the importance of managing and minimizing stress where I can and has affirmed for me the ABSOLUTE power of food, nutrition, self-care, and exercise as medicine for the body, mind, and soul! I would recommend Lila without hesitation to anyone that wants to invest in their health and wellness and wants an active partner in that process!

I was itchy and scratchy at night, and toasty even on a cool winter's day. I could often hear the pounding of my rabbit's heart, and see the extra congestion in my eyes. My woman's doctor recommended I see Stephanie at Nutrition for Autoimmunity for dietary support, in conjunction with taking Methimazole under the care of an Endocrinologist. I wasn't sure what to expect but Stephanie has become one of my angels this year. I had so many and too many questions for her about what to eat and what not to eat. If a product is pasture-raised, is it safe to assume it's organic too? Do I really need to avoid broccoli? and where do I source chicken back and chicken neck for homemade broth? were just a few of the wild questions I never thought I would need to ask. She answered ALL of them with kindness, patience and humor. I was Stephanie's first Graves' patient but that didn't deter me. Her willingness to learn more about my disease by doing extra research and seeking out doctors for answers was refreshing and reassuring. I've met and seen about 10 different healthcare professionals on this journey, and by far she's been the most down to earth, genuine and generous with her knowledge and time. When I traveled overseas and wanted to figure out a way to enjoy the food while limiting possible symptoms, she graciously and skillfully devised a well-thought out plan with zero judgment. What I love about Stephanie is she's realistic. She presents the facts, so I can make an informed decision. It's never a hard no. She's been on this journey and shares her own setbacks. She understands too well the complexity of it all, and therefore has a marathon mentality versus a sprint one. My heart goes out to anyone with a new autoimmune disease, but my hope is that they all can seek refuge in Stephanie to make it less scary.

Do not recommend. Overpriced. Very limited options for patients with multiple disorders. Very poor…read morecommunication skills.
