Extremely disappointed with the service department at Subaru of Montgomery. I purchased a brand new vehicle and have dealt with repeated issues after routine service visits, including oil spilled throughout the engine bay, improperly rotated tires, scratched wheels, dashboard warning lights left on after service, and multiple failed paint repairs to my hood after it was damaged while in their care. I gave the dealership several opportunities to correct the problems. Though most of these problems have been resolved through multiple repeated visits and loss of time at work, my hood is still subpar. I also consulted independent body shops, all of which agreed the repairs were not handled properly. Even after multiple attempts, the hood still has visible defects and was returned to me from the dealer with the hood loose and missing half of the retaining nuts. The most disappointing part was being told by the service manager that I am "no longer welcome" because they "can't make me happy," simply for expecting proper repairs on a brand new vehicle. Multiple emails to the General Manager went unanswered. As someone who works professionally in the automotive industry, this was one of the worst dealership service experiences I've had. read more

I have been here since I purchased the car and they overcharged me and didn't honor a coupon online because I didn't print it out. Not my favorite car buying experience, but since it was local and "close enough" to our needed price, we bit the bullet and went through with the deal. We have purchased cars before via emails and texts, and tried to do the same with this dealership. However I was discouraged that after being given the initial "internet pricing" they absolutely refused to budge a nickel more off that price. Understand that we were purchasing a car that was due to arrive and had not even see it yet! Here is a response from their online salesman: "By saying we refuse to give you an additional discount is almost an insult to the work we have been doing to earn your business so far." Really? Typing out emails is the difficult work you've been putting in? Needless to say, we were not happy with the arrogance and lack of personality of the sales staff, but I knew that they were car salesmen going in, so there's that. I would recommend this place if you have tough skin and know that 'the first price'='the last price' as there are no negotiations. If you are able to purchase in Atlanta, they have a little bit better prices and a whole lot better customer appreciation. read more

Literally the most amazing staff and service. I always have a great experience getting service done at this Subaru. Jeremy is so friendly and helpful. He has a great memory, I called him a couple months after getting service and he remembered my car and what it needed last time I was here! I trust that they are going to be honest with my repairs and work diligently. Rachelle at the front desk is so sweet. She'll also make you complimentary dog tags while you're waiting! Great service - helped us out of a hole, after cracking a windshield on a road trip from Florida. It's always more stressful fixing problems away from home, but Tommy Youngblood the Service Manager, and Summer Street the Advisor took care of everything. Reserved an OEM windshield, arranged for Mike's Auto Glass to install it, and then got the camera safety systems re-calibrated. Even sorted-out the Insurance paperwork. Couldn't be happier. I literally look forward to oil changes and services at this dealership! So so many reasons. The customer service is phenomenal. They often give me a rental car and it's almost always brand new and a fun upgrade from my own car. They never price gouge or try to up-sell me on anything. The staff is courteous and experienced. When I pick my Subaru up they've detailed it for free and on the rare occasion that I actually wait on it, I enjoy free drinks and free snacks while I watch tv on comfy furniture. Also: the whole place is dog friendly. That never hurts! I'll buy another Subaru when this one finally dies one day and the fact that I never want to go to any other dealership will have much to do with that. read more

We usually buy Hondas, but after much research we decided to try a "new to us" Subaru. We were told good things, shown good things, read good things, expected good things. We were told there aren't a lot of used Subarus to be found because people keep them. We were excited to find a used Subaru with the help of the dealership. It is a 2015, only owned by one other person, nothing wrong with it. So we were told. Now I know why they wanted to get rid of it. Within the first month of owning it, we needed to have the oil changed and the information light came on. Really Subaru? You can't send me out with a new oil change? Money out of our pocket. And your oil changes aren't cheap! The information light was glowing because the windshield wiper spray has something wrong with it. More money. We decided we can live with the yellow light glowing. After the oil change, we noticed a stutter when we pressed the gas pedal. When we take it back to them, they tell us it has something to do with the air filter that can be replaced for more money. Fast forward a few months and we go back for our 2nd oil change, when it's time, get the oil changed for a crazy amount of money, asked them to clean and vacuum the car and they didn't vacuum out the car or wash it. Disappointing Subaru. Just a few weeks later we notice a rattling in the back and the front of the car. We pay to have it inspected, wait an hour, we are told it was fixed, drove away and noticed...nope, not fixed. We turn around, drive back. (Oh and while inspecting the cause of the noise they notice the back tail light casing is broken. At this point we ask ourselves, can we drive our car without getting this fixed too?) They FINALLY think they have found the problem. The windshield was replaced fairly early on by the previous owner. Fine. Subaru had nothing to do with it. But we can have it fixed for...you guessed it...more money. Let's remind the reader that we are still paying a nice size used car payment, for a used car, from a company that claims family like car service. Not impressed Subaru. You sold us on an ideal that you would treat us like a family. If my family treated me the way you all are, we would have words. read more

This is a rave review for this dealership and its employees, especially Norman Carter, service advisor, and Dennis Culbertson, service manager. We were traveling through Montgomery when our Subaru's alternator failed unexpectedly. Let's just say that losing the electrical system and then any power at all on the interstate is an experience to be avoided. After the car was towed to the dealership, Norman and Dennis got creative with how to get us back on the road promptly. There were no new alternators available, and it was predicted that one(s) being shipped would clear Customs in 1-2 weeks. They offered to sell us a used alternator, as-is and no warranty, at a reasonable price. They got us back OTR in ~2 hours! Absolutely phenomenal service department! I was in Montgomery on business and figured it was a good opportunity to take care of a recall. My service advisor, Mr Tommy Youngblood was great and treated me like family. I left my car, he put me in a sweet new loaner and called me back fast to let me know the car was ready. When I arrived I didn't recognize my car because they washed it, getting 700 miles worth of bugs off the front, tires were shiny and the interior was vacuumed! I've owned a lot of vehicles and I have never experienced the quality of customer service like I have received from Subaru. Had a great experience purchasing a 2014 Subaru Outback from this dealer. After contacting 5 dealers in the FL Panhandle/southern AL area, this dealer offered the best price and was the most responsive to online inquiries. Others tried to call and talk me into visit their sales department, but the internet manager at this dealer (Matt Vepa) got right down to business with a great quote and didn't waste my time. The whole team was very friendly and professional during the test drive, paperwork completion, explanation of options, and sales completion. Though it was a 4 hour drive from my house, I'd definitely drive it again to do business with these guys. While it took 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time for anyone to show up in the service department, they made up for it with quick service and friendly customer relations. I left my car to get service for reparing JUST FOG Light, they took the car for 4 weeks, they did not find out the reason. they seemed to try to fix it but they could not! Also, during the investigation of the car, they broke a lot of pins and clips inside of the car!! they just hided the broken parts, and did not take any responsibilities about this. The problem is not solved yet!! I got really mad at their poorest customer service! They just messed up the NEW CAR!! I really love SUBARU, that's why I chose my car! But the dealership made me to stard hate overall Subaru Brand. Matt is the internet sales manager and he was outstanding in his response to me online and when I actually came in the dealership. His sales manager John was also very nice and professional and helpful when it came time to get my financing. This dealership is top notch! I inquired about a 2009 Honda Civic early in the morning through Autotrader and through their website. I received a call from Rob Anderson (Internet Sales Manager) 30 minutes before the dealership opened. To top that, Rob worked very closely with me to appraise my trade-in since I was coming from Tallahassee, FL (200 miles away). Once the trade-in value was assessed, the mechanics on the Civic checked out, and the financing was approved, my wife and I drove up to make everything final. Turns out that we were running a little late, but not to worry because Rob and some of the staff stayed late to finalize the sale.
