As we arrived, we got a bit confused as there's 2 other Indian restos on both sides ..close to each other, but this one had the Most people and it was Packed! The location is a bit sketchy and the place looks like it needs some serious re-modelling but it didn't stop us from giving it a try! Service: the guy was very cool and he got our order really quick .. everything was made fresh and on the spot. The Food is traditionally made in their clay oven ! That was the most impressive things I've seen although it's a major fire hazard it was was changed the way food flavours taste surreal !!! Food: Delicious fresh and flavourful wooow! Tandoori Chicken Was Spicy as Hellll but it was just deeelish the taste of charcoal woooow it was mouthwatering Their naan bread was fresh fluffy and delicious Their Shahi Paneer 5++++++ wooow I was super happy Rice was Fresh and fluffy The food is quite delightful and totally worth every penny! The price is super awesome a whole chicken tandoori comes with 4 sides choice of rice and naan bread for just 15$ Overall, we enjoyed this place very much and we will be back again for Sure 100% recommend it!!

Easy to find as it's on the main boulevard of sources. It's on a strip mall with a few restaurants. Parking There is lots of parking In there lots Ambiance It's a small restaurant but you do not fill cramped. Very simple déçour but the smell when you first walk In you know you are in for some good food. Food I order the butter chicken. It was super tender and the sauce was so flavourful. Wished I had more bread for the dipping. Tandorri chicken was so moist and bursting with flavours and spices. Shahi paneer we order two times as this is our go to dish. Boy we were in for a treat . It was bang on. The flavour the spices and the sauce.

First off, the place is bright, loud, and downright inviting -- like it actually wants you to come in and eat, which is more than I can say for half the places I've tried lately. The artwork is simply beautiful. And the concept? Burgers, rolls, bowls, and yes... poutines --I mean it's Canada after all. Let's talk food, because Spicebros doesn't ease you in. It's a full-on flavor explosion. Every bowl packs layers: heat, tang, crunch, sauce -- just when you think you've figured it out, another flavor slides in like "surprise." Honestly, the name makes sense. These guys aren't shy. Is it authentic? Is it fusion? Is it Montreal doing what Montreal does best? Who cares -- it's good. Real good. Would I go back? Absolutely. Without hesitation. Spicebros, you got me.

I ordered a shawarma Frankie to be delivered and upon receiving it, the bag was already punctured due to sauce leaking from the brown paper bag into the delivery gentlemen's hand. The wrap was already really soggy. Waaaaayyy too much sauce that ruined the flavor and wrap. Too much cabbage and not enough chicken spice The samosa shells were good, deep friend and had a good crunch, but the insides were about average. Using the right ingredients inside but not enough spice.

It's towards the top of Old Montreal so we had a nice walk to and from the restaurant. We were greeted by the host and sat down immediately. The restaurant inside was very pretty and had low lighting to make it look very intimate. I'd definitely consider Veranda a fine-dining Indian restaurant. We ordered the samosa tarts and malai chicken tikka from the appetizers and both were absolutely delicious! We also ordered mango lassi, butter chicken, and garlic naan (all automatic orders for us when we go to Indian restaurants) and none of them disappointed. However, we were a little disappointed that they didn't have a few menu items that we see back home or at other Indian restaurants like onion bhaji, pakora, biryani and tandoori chicken. The only complaint we had was the service wasn't that great. Our order was taken a few minutes after viewing the menu and the staff was very friendly but after we finished our appetizers, we felt neglected as other tables were served their food and we were waiting 25-30 minutes to get served our main dish. We had to let the server know that we were done our appetizers and ready for the main dish. I'm not sure if this is normal in Montreal or at Indian restaurants in Montreal? Other restaurants we were served our courses immediately one after the other, with maybe 5-10 minutes in between. It wasn't busy either for a Wednesday night where they only had 3-4 tables. Regardless, we would recommend Veranda to anyone craving Indian food who wants to eat in Old Montreal! The food is delicious!
