The nurses and front desk have always been very helpful and kind. On our last visit here, my son needed his thigh/groin checked for an injury. The doctor told him to lay down on the exam table, then she just ripped his pants down. I was very surprised, shocked really. My 7 year old looked at me with the same expression. (not surprised she didn't pick up on that given her lack of care in this situation) He didn't have any underwear on and she didn't do anything to provide privacy, while she prodded around. This was just very unprofessional. I spoke to friends/family about this- they all have very different experiences when their child sees a doctor such as the doctor will explain what they are doing... and if they have to check their genital area, they explain how they are a doctor and they provide a towel to cover them, etc... I mean, this would never happen to an adult, so why would a child ever be handled this way by a medical professional. I regret not saying anything in the moment. I definitely can suggest this place to every parents. I want to advice Narineh A & Irina S, who have reviewed badly about these people, that you cannot judge people with one incident only, and during years, my daughter has become 18, I still get her to this location. THE ABSOLUTE WORSE!!!! ZERO ZERO ZERO STARS. This office has the most rude and unprofessional staff. I've made an appointment for my son's three year check up months ago and even confirm my appointment via text the day prior the day of his appointment. Which usually is them putting the kid on the weight and check how tall they are and let you go and then charge an arm and a leg to the insurance. Someone named "NAZ" called me 8:30 in the morning to tell me that they won't be able to see him because the doctor is not there and even though I did mention that I'm OK seeing any other doctor, they said we can't see you today. Now this wouldn't matter if both of my kids didn't have an eye infection that appeared the day before our appointment and I was waiting to see the dr since we already had a confirmed appointment. When I was trying to explain to her what's going on with my kids eyes she wouldn't let me talk kept cutting me off and repeating her self , she still said there is no way they can accept us as a patient even though I did, mention this is more of an emergency situation and I need my kids eyes to be checked. I called to get my sons immunization emailed for his school and they said No they can't. I had my other son immunization forms emailed to me l last time so not sure why they can't email me my information. This is by far the WORST children pediatric office I have ever encountered. I was scheduled at 11:15. We arrived at 11:00am and filled out all the paperwork before the appointment. I sat in the waiting room with my girls for over an hour. I got up to check the check in list and counted 7 patients taken in before my girls even though they arrive and signed in much later then we did. (I have proof of the same by the way) All seven patients had a last name ending in yan or ian , now I know Montrose services many areas BUT clearly the are showing favoritism and they were NOT DISCREATE about it either. When I asked why she was doing that she literally had NO RESPONSE other than sorry, I will tell them now. When the girls were called in one of the nurses asked another to assist so they can go to lunch. Well little did she know I understand and speak Armenian fluently. Finally saw the doctor who immediately introduced herself and followed with "I won't have time to complete any paperwork you brought because we are going to lunch" I was shocked BUT after almost 2hrs NOT SURPRISED ! NOW any other time I would have left but the girls needed this check up for school and before any response why did I wait so long please know they are foster children that were just placed in our care !!!!!! First of all, don't ever take your children here if you care about them. When you first walk in to check in, the front desk always has a rude look on their face and they don't really care about you. Expect at LEAST an hour wait even if you come in on time for your appointment. The staff takes their so called "lunch breaks" which take hours apparently. Anna Mekikyan should not even be certified as a doctor let alone a person who studied a thing about medicine. If you take your kid and they have a rash all over their body, expect the answer "eat more fruits" from Anna mekikyan, on top of a 2 hour wait. You will be dismissed with no help whatsoever, and you will barely have anything prescribed to you. Don't even get me started with taking your child to get vaccines/shots here. I've been coming to this doctor for a while now and at first they did a pretty good job but after the doctors changed everything became worse. My first doctor was Dr. Zargarian but then he retired and someone else took his place and that's when everything fell apart. Every appointment is such a hardship. If I could I would put ZERO star too! Just stay away from them! On Sunday night, December 12th, 2021. My baby started to have fever, I gave him Tylenol, Ibuprofen, did the "kooling gel",... all night along, his temperature was dropping and going up again! I took care of him all night hopping to visit his doctor; Dr. Katty Sahakian in the morning, since she is in the office on Mondays. I called the office; Montrose Pediatrics and of course the lady who has ZERO compassion and doesn't even know how to talk to people, I'm not sure what her name is, I believe it's Zara, the one who is currently expecting, yet she treats moms with sick babies/kids unprofessionally and impolitely!!! As usual she said that "Dr. Sahakian is fully booked and if it's an urgent case you can take him to the nearest urgent care"!!!! WOW! Smh... I explained to her that how bad my baby is and I do need to see Dr. Sahakian, but she repeated the same words without any compassion!!! I hung up, called back, asked for Rosa, talked to her and eventually got a hold of a nurse, Seda and I learned that Dr. Sahakian is overbooked due to unprofessionalism of people in charge of making the appointments. Which I totally understand since it happened to me that I have visited the office with a two months in advance scheduled appointment and waited more that 2.5 hours to get in!!! Long story short, I had no other option but to take my 10 month old baby to an hospital, he was diagnosed with an ear infection, was prescribed to take antibiotics and follow up with his pediatrician in a couple of days. I called back, talked to Seda and explained to her the situation and she asked me to call the front desk and make an appointment in 10 days, so the baby will be done with his antibiotics. I hung up and called the front desk to make an appointment and I learned that Dr. Sahakian is not available in 10 days, she is going on vacation and her last day at work is Friday, December 17th, 2021. I called back Seda and told her the situation, not sure why she was not aware of Dr. Sahakian's schedule! Anyway, Seda told me to call her back on Friday, the 17th to see what she can do, and to arrange a time so Dr. Sahakian can see my baby. I called on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at 10:48 AM and I was told that it's Seda's day off and "Dr. Sahakian has left already"!!! Let's not forget that the working hours of this office starts at 9:00 AM and the front desk tells me Dr. Sahakian has left for the day at 10:48 AM!!! Not sure why front desk got so comfortable with saying nonsense and making untrue statements!!!! I also learned that neither Rosa nor Soseh were at work on Friday, the 17th! This gem of a place has 2 receptionists who don't answer your questions and give you a dirty look if you dare to ask how much longer for your appointment. I mean, I dared to ask after waiting 90 minutes. By the way , they disappeared and we never saw them again. Perhaps a 2 hour lunch break or just hiding in the back.? The pediatrician was rude and had her lunch in the exam room. The appointment lasted 5 minutes which included the time for the vaccines. this place was so terrible that I'm writing my first review - parents beware. There is so much wrong with this place that I don't even know where to begin. If you want to cry after a doctor's visit, this is the place to take your kids. I've tried this place 3 times over the course of the last 6 years. never waited less than 1 hour to be seen (and that was on a good day). the last time we went, a male nurse asked ME where he should give the immunization shots while the kids were screaming. "arm or leg?" my kids were 5 and 6 at the time. I was already mad from the 5 minute face-to-face with the doctor who seemed like she legitimately hated children. I told him he's the nurse and asked what's right for this age... He could not decide. he made ME choose!!! It took him 1 hour to give 2 kids 2 shots, and then proceeded to lecture me about the dangers of Tylenol. I did not ask him about Tylenol. My kids cried for 2 hours post appointment - first time crying after the doctor's. this place has No smiles, no nice words, no bedside manner, no concept of an appointment time, no regard for parents or children, no respect for people's time, the girls working in the front were very nice - outside of that, absolutely horrendous experience. Took my daughter in for what was later diagnosed as croup cough & inner ear infection(this was diagnosed at an Urgent Care after failure at this location). The physician who saw her at Montrose Peds was very nice and kind, but she also very young , probably 33-34 years old at most, which means limited experience. She said she didn't believe it was croup cough , looked into both ears with scope and said ears were fine. Told me to bring her back the next day if she was worse. Nothing prescribed was prescribed at this time. So took her home, she coughed all night with intermittent gasping (that accompanied the cough) every 3-4 minutes. 4th day of fever. My wife took her back at 930am the next morning, which happened to be my daughter's primary MD's last day before retirement . After waiting for literally 3 hours, my wife and daughter left without being seen. Took her to urgent care. The staff at Montrose Pediatrics was more concerned and occupied with taking pictures and having a farewell party with Dr. Zargarian rather than taking care of sick toddlers. I get it, it's the MDs last day...but have a get together after hours . Don't leave sick children and kids, some of which are having difficulty breathing in order to take your stupid pictures and posting on social media. Very disappointed, will never trust or recommend to anyone My daughter ended up needing an intramuscular injection of dexamethasone for the croup cough and antibiotics for her ear infection, both of which were prescribed by an experienced physician at urgent care, completely overlooked at Montrose Peds. read more

This review is for Dr. Zargarian, I simply adore him. He's been my sons pediatrician since he was a few hours old in the hospital and he is great. He's been around a long time, he's seen his fair share of patients and illnesses and he knows when something is concerning and when leaving it alone to take its course is better. I love that he is not quick to just prescribe your child some medication and get you out of there when it's not needed which I feel like most doctors do nowadays, they always treat every single little thing like it's polio. And yes I definitely feel like he treats my son as if he is his own grandfather. The office staff is great too. Had to see dr mekikyan once and let's just say she's not my cup of tea. read more

Do not, I repeat do not use this office. We took our 2 year old boy to get his vaccine shots, and Dr. Zargarian asked if the child speaks, we told them that he says about 4 or 5 words, he handed us a card for a speech therapy, we told him we don't need it, he insisted to keep the card for future, and wrote in the kid's chart that he ordered a speech therapy for our boy. We had no idea he had done that, and just now, several months later found out, because we were getting medical insurance for him, and the insurance company had requested his records. Now for no reason my kid's chart states he needed speech therapy, and insurance company raised the rate. The office is very unprofessional, I called they didn't have a supervisor on site, the supervisor later called me asking to speak to my 2 year old, because he didn't even read the chart who and what the complaint was about, and Dr has retired, yet they were blaming me for being upset about it. This office is a joke, and not a funny one, now because of their unprofessionalism and wanting to make an extra buck from referrals, my kid has on his record that he needed speech therapy. read more

I found out they gave my son about 10 shots that are not required for school. Every time I went in there I would ask "is this required for school" they would say "yes." From now on I will record video with my phone while iam asking the question and while he is getting the shot. Wherever you go make sure you record because all these doctors get perks by giving more shots so be careful! This office is very disorganized. Doctors only work 1 or 2 days. Any other day you call they insist you take your child to the ER if they aren't feeling well. During Covid year I called many times to try to get my child seen for cold/flu symptoms and they said we simply cannot accept any patients who feel sick. Such a shame for humanity that clinics like this exist. Did Covid all of a sudden disappear and now no one can catch Covid? All kids can be seen now regardless of symptoms? Oh and also, I took my child in 3 times in a month only for the other doctor who is the biggest BITCH (Egyptian one) who lied to me and said 2 times in a matter of one month that she couldn't check to see if my son had a ear infection because he had too much wax buildup, thanks to you I am changing my son's doctor. We love Dr. Mekikyan and Dr. Zahagian! My three kids go here, age 2, 4, and 6 - we've been going here for the past 3 years. The nurses are great as well. Their team has a very DIRECT and approachable way of communicating with one another. Their communication style may be harsh for some but it works for us. They always give us the first available appointments which are usually the same day or next day. Wait time has typically been less than 20 minutes each time we've visited. We've used both HMO and PPO insurance here and they are super helpful/friendly when we need to change our info. Thank you to the great staff at Montrose Pediatrics! read more

I just want to preface that I rarely ever leave reviews and have never left a bad review. I don't think it's really worth it but Dr. Fatma Haney...she deserves all the bad reviews. To begin with, my daughter's pediatrician was wonderful. So smart, so thorough yet very strict with vaccinations. She wouldn't see my daughter until she was caught up with the previous one. That scared me because I never knew what I would do if something happened to her and she wasn't caught up. And for a first time mother, I didn't want to take that risk. So she received all of her first year shots. I am in no way against vaccinations, however I do believe in "to each their own" and that the parents get to make the decisions for their children. What my daughter chooses to get once she's an adult is on her. When she turned 1, I took her to her old pediatrician and I told her I want her to get the shots she needs except for 1. The only one I'm denying...for now. She doesn't go to school she doesn't go to daycare. The doctor made it an issue but very respectfully so I decided to change her doctor. I came across Dr. Haney, even though some people I know personally went and had a bad experience. I still gave her a shot. I called and spoke to the front office lady and I asked her what the doctor's stance is on vaccinations and if I choose to skip one and she said VERBATIM "the doctor believes it's the mother's choice". So I went through the process of calling my insurance and changing her primary to Dr. Haney. I scheduled it a few months after she turned 1 but got covid and canceled. Then I rescheduled it for some time in my second trimester of my current pregnancy when I knew I would be feeling better as I've barely been able to function at the time. This morning we go and the office staff is pretty nice...so far so good. We go inside the nurse checks out my daughter and asks if I want to get her shot today. I didn't have time so I said not today but I am planning on her getting her shots soon. He was nice and even mentioned that she's on the right track. Great. Then Dr. Haney walks in. Oh boy. Barely and I mean BARELY says hello. Does not ask how I am, how my daughter is, what my concerns are or even welcomes us to her office. OFF THE BAT "I need to council you on getting your daughter up to date on her vaccinations and follow the CDC recommendations because I am not comfortable caring for someone who is sick". I was PISSED! I said my daughter is not sick, she said I am not saying she is sick but she needs to be fully protected. WHAT? What logic does that make? First off, regardless she's not going to be "fully protected" until all of her childhood shots are done, which take years. Secondly, you are a DOCTOR. You chose a career in taking care of sick patients and you have the audacity to say you're not comfortable?? And all because I wasn't able to get her an appointment because of personal reasons. She looks at a chart without speaking to me and decides to judge me and my parenting decisions. And mind you, I am willing to "fully protect" my daughter, but by spacing it out and going based off my child's needs. Not the CDC. The CDC is not the one all, end all. As we've seen the last few years. I know what my child can handle, not the CDC, not Dr. Haney. She is judgmental, rude, obnoxious and a complete disappointment to the medical community. My daughter's previous pediatrician also believed the same thing but I still respected her because of the way she spoke to me about it and her concerns. But Fatma Haney, deserves 0 respect. I left there angry and fuming. I had to finally take 5 minutes of my day to write this review so nobody else ever wastes their time on her. P.S. doc, it IS the parents' choice. Sorry, if that dips into your pockets or your personal beliefs. Work on your bed side manner, there's thousands of others like you, you're not in any way shape or form special and you never will be with an attitude like that. Doctors like you are the reason why people are so firm in their beliefs because you act like we have no right to our own opinions. Land of the free my ass. Dr. Mekikyan is awesome, caring, knows how to talk to children and would handle a challenging situation with an ease. Wait time is horrible. 2-3 hours minimum. Everyone complains the entire time I sit there at every appointment. Packed to the point that there are no more chairs to sit on. Overbooking much ? I think YES! Been taking my kids there for 2 years already. Struggle is real. Its a 35 minute drive from me. Parking is mostly always full. Street parking is usually full as well. When I try to call and make an appointment they hardly ever answer or return phone calls back after I leave several messages. Staff is pretty rude. The doctors are great.
