One of my daughter's has braces here. But the best story I have about Dr Moody is with my son. He is a patient but has not lost all his teeth yet, so no braces yet. He has a habit of not wiggling his teeth, so he gets shark teeth where the new tooth comes in behind the old. He has had one tooth ready to come out for over two weeks. Our dentist was going to charge us $150 to pull the tooth the next week. We were in to see Dr Moody just for X-rays to make sure his new teeth were coming in straight with plenty of room. One of his regular 6 month check ups, no extra costs. She asked to look in his mouth and before either of us knew it, she had pulled the old tooth out. She handed it to him and said now it is out and you do not have to pay to have it pulled. She was awesome! I loved it! My son was shocked and told her wow! read more

Since we've moved to a different city, we have continued her treatment with Dr. Moody at the Dripping Springs location. I've been to three orthodontists for consultations in Austin and Moody Orthodontics was head and shoulders above the others. The staff was nice, the office was beautiful and everybody was competent and professional but what really stood out was the techniques and technologies in use. Dr. Moody uses photos and digital X-rays while diagnosing you. This means you can sit in the chair and look at yourself on the big screen TV while Dr. Moody talks with you about jaw angulation, facial geometry, your bite, all that stuff. On top of that, Dr. Moody uses indirect bonding, which is a faster and more precise method of putting braces on teeth. This means you're in and out faster and your braces have been placed EXACTLY where they should be. Most other offices are "looking into this" if anything. The last thing I noticed is that your photos and records are pulled up on the monitor right by the chair while she's doing adjustments. I had braces the first time only 12 years ago but it felt like the stone age compared to what was going on at Moody Ortho. Seriously, if you're anywhere near south Austin and you need your teeth straightened you should schedule an appointment here first. read more

I shopped around to several different orthodontists and she was the best price/value choice I could find. Also...her practice is fairly new, so there weren't a ton of people in front and behind me like some of the other places I went too. No cattle car approach here...White glove service all the way. So very thankful for this clinic! I've been coming here since I was 13-14 years old and I'm 21 now. I've had braces twice and it's been such a good experience both times. It's so amazing to see how much Dr.Moody has grown and expanded since my teenage years and although it is a much more high volume office now then it was back then, she still takes the time to make you feel heard, valued, and taken care of. She always asked me on each visit if I was happy with how my teeth were looking and that made me feel so good to know that she genuinely cared about my treatment progress! Not to mention the gals at the front (Nikki and Linda) are super friendly, informative, and helpful! I must say, I am a little sad that I won't be coming in as often now that my braces are off but I'm super happy with our results! I can't think Dr.Moody enough! I really can't say anything bad about this place. Dr. moody was extremely friendly and thorough when explaining my treatment options. There was little to no wait when I showed up for my appointment as they look to be running a very efficient operation. The office staff was courteous but not overly so, and the office itself was very clean and modern. Everything I would like a Doctors office to be. After my experience, I even sent my girlfriend in to be fitted for a mouthpiece to stop her from grinding her teeth to dust. Dr. Moody is wonderful!!! She is really personable and friendly with the kids and takes the time to explain everything with the parents before treatment begins. My daughter is pretty nervous about dental procedures and Dr. Moody and the team made it easy for her- she even looks forward to going back to her next visits. My daughters friend is also getting treated at the office and I overheard the girls talking about wanting to become orthodontists "like Dr. Moody". Dr. Moody checks everything at every visit and makes sure that the patients are receiving the right care. There are other offices in the area, beware, that the assistants seem to do all the work and the patient never /rarely sees the doctor or thaf the doctors allow the assistants to do things that should be done only by the doctor, but at Moody orthodontics the doctor takes the time to make sure the treatment is going correctly. One doctor in the area even lets his patients do things by themselves at home that should be done by a dentist!!! The office is really nice and modern and the services that she offers are up to date with current orthodontic techniques. The smiles she creates are truly life- changing for her patients!! Ive seen lots of examples of her patients results and they look wonderful. I now I am getting my Invisalign braces in a couple weeks. She has been able to give me a good idea of what our goals and expectations are and how long it will take. I highly recommend Dr. Moody to anyone interested in braces at any age. I love Dr Moody. I thought my bite issues were untreatable with clear aligners, but Dr Moody is fixing my teeth beautifully with Invisalign. I am a worrier and she always listens to my concerns and gives me her honest opinion. My only complaint would be that the office seems really busy all the time and sometimes I feel a bit rushed at my appointments because there are so many people needing to be seen. But that's understandable and overall, I highly recommend Moody Orthodontics. It's expensive, but to me it has been worth the money. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for awhile (got my braces off May of 2013), and finally figured that it was the least I could do for the fantastic orthodontic treatment I received from Dr. Moody. I was in braces for a year and a half to close large gaps between my teeth, most notably my front two. The staff were always extremely friendly and helpful, and Dr. Moody always remembered me and displayed an interest in my comments and concerns. You wouldn't think this of an orthodontist, but I always left in a better mood than when I'd walked in. The office is modern and pleasing with amenities like coffee and snacks. It's been more than a year since I got my braces off but I wear my retainers every night and when I wake up in the morning seeing the teeth that I dreamed of for 22 years always makes me smile! read more

Ok, I have to seriously give props to Dr. Moody. I'm someone with a major case of the heebie jeebies when it comes to orthodontists, oral surgeons, dentists- all the people I consider to have naturally shifty eyes. But Dr. Moody excels in every aspect of professional care- she is matter of fact, friendly, non-judgmental, not into lecturing, and makes you feel like you're visiting someone you've known for a long time. She also has an incredible eye for how to give you that whole Hollywood 'I'm-so-gorgeous-I-don't-know-what-to-do-with-myself' smile. I appreciate that she is upfront about treatment and costs, and that she even gives her cell and won't chide you for sending tooth pictures while she's on lunch (yes.... I did that...where are my boundaries?!?). I had my first visit-consultation for orthodontics today at the South Austin office and I had an excellent experience! The office is very clean and comfortable and all the staff were great! I am actually excited to work with Dr. Moody who sat down with me and took the time to discuss the details of my case. The office manager Nathalie was very knowledgeable and informative. The dental assistants were caring and explained everything that they were doing. Dr. Moody is kind, caring and explained her thought process as we were working through the next steps to best address my needs. I had been approached by two dentists who wanted me to do Invisalign or clear aligners, through their offices but after my discussion with Dr. Moody I am so happy that I am going with an orthodontist who underwent specialized training for orthodontia. Dr. Moody is awesome! I never had braces growing up but always wanted straight teeth. I talked to my dentist about Invisalign but was told it won't work on my teeth. I saw Moody Orthodontics driving on William Cannon and thought I would try them. When I called they were very nice and got me in the next day after work which was great. Dr. Moody is super patient and explained all of my options and the pros and cons of each one. After going over everything I went with Invisalign on my top teeth and metal braces on the bottom. First and Foremost, you will not find a more professional and nicer dentist in this town. Dr. Moody since day one has been exceptional at making sure your smile is the best in town. Dr. Moody and her staff were great! I had to get a new bottom retainer to keep my teeth from moving so I went in, we devised a plan and within the week, the small space was closed and I had a new bottom retainer. Everyone from the front of the office to the back were so nice and answered any questions I had. They were all very thorough and I felt well taken care of. Dr. Moody even gave me her number to text her a pic of my teeth so she could see the space before I came in to make sure we were good to go with our plan of action. That is great customer service! I would highly recommend Dr. Moody to anyone looking to get braces for their kids or themselves. I have three kids and two of them have had braces. It was time for the third to get braces, but the previous orthodontist had retired. We visited several offices looking for a new orthodontist. I went in to Moody Orthodontics to be fitted for a retainer. I was greeted right away by the office staff, completed the necessary paperwork, and was quickly seated. The ambiance was warm, hip, and inviting- even for me as an adult. Dr. Moody quickly and efficiently fitted me for the retainer and said it would be ready the next day by 1:00. The next day, I received a call at 11:00 stating the retainer was in. I returned, and within 15 minutes I had my new retainer in- which was a perfect fit, and very cost efficient. Ive had traditional braces twice before and went to Dr Moody for invisalign to correct my bite once and for all. I did alot of research and chose her because she really knows whats she doing and wants all of her patients to look their best. She's a perfectionist (which is a good thing in an orthodontist) and She truly goes above and beyond to make sure that your bite and smile are the absolute best they can be be the time you leave her. Her office is modern and high tech and has cool little details like bicycles and guitars as artwork. She and her entire staff are always very friendly and acommodating but today she did what no other orthodontist has ever done for me - I lost my retainer which Ive only had for 2 weeks and Dr Moody took pity on me and made me a new one free of charge! Anyones who's had braces knows how expensive retainers are and that is why you see people digging through trash cans looking for their lost retainers. Financially this would have been a real struggle for me right now to pay for a new retainer and I truly appreciate what she has done for me.
