I love Dr. Nantz and his team! Having had braces as a teenager I never dreamed that I would be dealing adult orthodontic issues. However, here I am in my 30's with Invisalign. Making an appointment was super easy. I didn't even think I had orthodontic coverage through my dental insurance (this is what I was told at another office). Dr. Nantz's office was able to help me understand and secure my insurance benefits. They explained exactly how it worked. My appointments are painless, quick, safe, and professional. I feel safe at my appointments even in the time of Covid. When I arrive I text to let them know that I am there. They text me back when it's my turn to come up. I never wait in the waiting area with others. I cannot recommend Dr. Nantz enough. His team is the sweetest and most helpful. read more

I had a pretty bad experience with Nantz Orthodontics & I wouldn't recommend them. Giving them 2 stars because Dr. Nantz & the staff are all very nice. I had a gap in between my two front teeth that bothered me. I went in for a consult & was told treatment would take 6-9 months. Some things I wish I knew about Invisalign is with attachments they are not flat against your teeth & pretty noticeable. I also talked with a lisp while wearing them which impacted me greatly. I stopped going out with new people & stayed home more because I was embarrassed of the lisp. I ended up wearing Invisalign for almost 3 1/2 years. When I look at photos of my progress I don't see a difference from year 1 to year 3. I wish I had just stopped after year 1. I still have a smaller gap in between my front teeth & a new gap in between some of my side teeth since they didn't move correctly. I wish I had just accepted my teeth as is & didn't waste thousands of dollars to get them semi-fixed. I also had billing issues. I remember even telling Dr. Nantz that I was owed money from overpayment at the beginning of my treatment & from what insurance ended up paying. I had to email the office to get a check sent out so I would recommend at the end of the treatment you ask for all your billing information & review it for accuracy. They didn't charge my insurance all of my max out-out-pocket as well. There is still something around $180 that my insurance would have paid & I could have been reimbursed. When I told the office this they just mailed me a claim they had submitted & didn't follow-up with my insurance company. I would not recommend Invisalign in general & also wouldn't recommend Dr. Nantz. Hopefully my case was an outlier but it still was a tough 3 1/2 years. read more

My husband is a cosmetic dentist so we are extremely selective about who works on our teeth when a specialist is needed. When my son chipped his front adult tooth (cringe!) my husband spoke to Dr. Nantz and they came up with a game plan to reposition his teeth with metal brackets to make the chip less noticeable. During this process Dr. Nantz also expanded his upper palate. Dr. Nantz is meticulous, friendly and conservative in his planning. He is a wonderful clinician that is kind and truly cares. Dr. Nantz and his team are awesome! I originally came in for a 2nd opinion for Invisalign. My general dentist told me that I need one for medical (not aesthetic) reasons, and I figured that if I were to get one, I'd rather get it done by an orthodontist instead of general dentist. Great, great decision! He's in network for me and has stellar Yelp reviews, so I figured I'd try coming in since a consult is free anyways. From the beginning to the end of my appointment, everyone was so helpful, kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help me with the process. I got scheduled in the next day for a consult, and walked out of the office within an hour - imaging, x-rays, all done (none of those gummy impressions that make you gag - they use an iTero scanner)! Given that my dentist appointments generally take close to 2 hours, Nantz Ortho is pretty awesome I'd say :) I'll be starting my treatment soon. Not excited about having something in my mouth again esp. after braces treatment that failed me (dang it!), but I'm confident that I'm in good hands with Dr. Nantz. A big plus is that they're contracted with my insurance, so the cost ends up being cheaper than having my general dentist do it - yay! All in all, I'm super glad that I went to Nantz Ortho. read more

The ladies in this office are absolutely amazing. They are so friendly and welcoming as well as educational. This was seriously some of the best customer service that I have ever had in my life. I decided to get braces and faced the obstacle of which dental insurance company to decide on, and there were so many things that I just didn't know. I read that Dr. Nantz was in my network and called for just some basic info. Ms. Jennifer went completely ABOVE and beyond to help me out, practically feeding me the questions to ask and giving me her e-mail for any further questions I had for her before making my decision. (And Mind you, I was not even yet a customer of theirs at this point!) After deciding on the insurance, of course it was a no-brainer that, after reading all the great reviews and speaking with Jennifer, I would choose this office for my ortho work. And let me tell you, they did not let me down. In fact, I can't imagine going anywhere else. Not only was Jennifer super friendly and helpful both on the phone and off the phone in person, but Ms. Anna was SUPER informative during the meeting to make sure I was aware of every little detail before deciding on traditional braces verses Invisalign. The tech was also friendly and professional while taking the x-ray pictures and did a good job answering my questions I drilled her with. But let's go back to Anna. Wow. That's all I can say. She was extremely knowledgeable and informative that I can't even describe how helpful it was for someone that did not know what to expect. I was already having some anxiety about (a) being in the orthodontist office in the first place, and (b) getting braces on my teeth. But with Anna, she completely and totally reassured me that everything was fine with the way she described the process and every little detail about what I would be experiencing before, during, and after getting braces and she answered every one of my questions with professionalism and experience. She was also very nice and funny too, which helped put me at ease the moment I stepped in her office. Dr. Nantz was very nice and easy to talk to, ready for all my questions and concerns. And I had many, even though I had done my own homework. He was also specific in his observations of the x-ray pictures and recommendations. He helped to thoroughly answer all the questions that I had as well and reassured me that I wasn't as "broken" and helpless and I thought I was with my smile and that it could not only be fixed but corrected in the rotations and spacing and that I would even be able to continue to train with a specialized mouthpiece. You can also tell in the passion and pride that everyone in this office takes in their work that they really Love what they are doing, are well-trained, educated and professional, and they want to HELP you to make the best decision for you and not for their them. I couldn't possibly imagine going anywhere else for any dental or orthodontic needs, from beginning to end. We just had our first visit to Dr. Nantz' office and were so pleased. The office itself is very clean, bright, cozy and welcoming. I think any child who walks in nervous will quickly be set at ease just by the feel of the office. Plus, there were games to play!! The staff was really authentically kind and very knowledgeable. You could not ask for a better team to work on your chompers. Their treatment plans are thorough yet quick . The financing options are so easy I don't know why I ever waited so long to get braces. The office is modern and they offer all the incentive programs/tools to keep you coming back along with referring your friends. My daughter was given a referral to come here and when I called initially they were stand offish to even schedule an appointment but were still open to see her. Well I call back a couple days later to schedule they refused to see my daughter since she came from another orthodontist. I understand the whole thing about someone else's work. The lady who answered the phone was completely rude even after I told her I have a referral for Dr. Nantz to see my daughter for a new retainer. What really upset me is she said only emergency and I stated so my daughters teeth going crooked isn't an emergency. The fact that they weren't even willing to see her even after I stated we have a referral baffles me and frankly they are not very welcoming. read more

I went to Dr. Nantz for an invisalign transfer case in December of this year. They were super understanding and helpful when it came to transferring my case over and dealing with billing/insurance. We just moved to Austin. Both of my kids are already in braces so we needed to find someone local to continue their treatments. I was excited to see all the glowing reviews for Nantz Orthodontics and thought we had found our new orthodontist. I filled out the on-line contact form but hadn't heard back from anyone after a couple of days, so I decided to call the office. Unfortunately, we were told that they are not currently accepting "transfers" (people already in braces). This review is long overdue! I went through 18 months of braces and am so happy with the treatment and result. I had other complicated dental issues to deal with and I'm so impressed and thankful to Dr. Nantz and his team. I was missing a front tooth and was advised to get braces to add space so another doctor could do the implant. I also had to get a crown on another tooth replaced. I had already had gone through Invisalign with another orthodontist years prior to this and my teeth returned back to crowded in the front. Before deciding on going with Dr. Nantz, I had two other orthodontic consultations-- neither of those orthodontists were as clear and direct as Dr. Nantz. At my consultation with Dr. Nantz, he said it would take 18 months of braces with periods of rubber bands and that's exactly what happened. While in braces, I had an implant placed and two crowns placed. This is a complicated process for the orthodontist/assistants because every time I had an appointment with the doctor/dentist who did the implant and crowns, I had to come into Dr. Nantz before and after to have the wire removed and placed back. They were always so accommodating. I trust the staff here 100%. An assistant told me exactly what to ask for at the dentists with the placement of the crowns (e.g., custom color shading). Other positives of this office-- Jennifer at the front desk is like a favorite Auntie -- she is so sweet! In all my many visits here, I never once was left waiting for long. Overall, Dr. Nantz and the staff works hard, is knowledgeable and skilled, always positive, and is professional. read more

I felt it was was worth taking the time to write today after Dr. Nantz and his team fit my daughter in (at no extra cost) to adjust my daughter's retainer to make her more comfortable. I was debating between choosing Dr. Nantz or another orthodontist. The deal breaker was 1)The approach in which the financial explanation was provided and 2)Dr. Nantz's approach to not extract permanent teeth if it was even slightly possible that they could be saved. Back story: I had two quotes, one from Dr. Nantz's and another from a very good Orthodontist. However, Anna, the treatment coordinator, was so kind and nice, and answered every single question I had about the finances (and it was a LOT!) with patience and grace. I never felt pressured, and was never made to feel dumb. Regarding the extraction, my 70 yr old father is having trouble keeping his teeth in, so the fact that Dr. Nantz wanted to approach extraction more conservatively was also great news. To put the icing on the cake, I recently went to get my teeth cleaned at another location and learned the treatment coordinator there was the former TC for Dr. Nantz as well. She raved about him and said she is currently in treatment with him as well with her own set of braces! Even though by that time I had already committed to Dr. Nantz, this was further confirmation that we chose correctly. And we haven't even started treatment yet!
