Moon co-op came through for our post graduation luncheon. We called them in advance and explained what we were looking for. We were able to specify what each person wanted and everything came as requested. They had everything ready for us on time and the food was really good. From salads to sandwiches and soups. They were great and I would certainly recommend them. This is a cool store located in the shopping center with Kroger. I went in the evening before Thanksgiving and Tom was so unbelievably sweet and welcoming. He helped me find a local farm to supply something that his store couldn't stock and even offered me a complimentary drink. Moon Co-Op is amazing! The sandwich was fresh and loaded with toppings and the smoothies were delicious!! But the real reason I will be coming back (and telling all my friends to visit) is because of the staff. Tom, the store manager, took the time to talk with us, explain the menu, and was extremely kind. The kitchen staff was so helpful and answered all of our questions!! one of the only places to get healthy food thats good in oxford! i go here multiple times a week because of the limited healthy places to go in the area. the interior is so cute and the staff is very friendly. they always are able to answer my questions and go out of their way to help me. love the hummus that is featured as well as the chubby bunny bakery items. ready to made soups are great. chia pudding is excellent too. I also really like the fresh sandwiches and salads that are made to order at the counter. however I do wish they had options for gluten free wraps and not just bread. I will continue being a regular and am looking forward to trying more of their items! one suggestion is to add fresh pressed juices to the menu. oxford needs a juicery!! read more

Stopped here with my toddler for a smoothie and a plant. I would have purchased more if I had more hands! I saw several vegan options i had not seen anywhere before, so we will definitely be back. It is sort of hidden in the back of a shopping centre, but once you find Moon Co-Op you will be pleasantly surprised. Although the food is a tad bit pricey (but what do you expect from natural organic food?) the variety within this store is vast. There's fresh vegetables, healthy alternatives, a candy station, a houseware/cleaning section, and even bar where fresh smoothies are made. I highly recommend shopping here :) read more

I have always enjoyed the quieter, cleaner environment of Moon in addition to their inventory that includes hard-to-find specialty items, but I noticed further improvements as of late. They have been putting out fresh flowers at their indoor and outdoor tables (which make a great lunch getaway) as well as some other plants. Today, I noticed they spruced up their kids play area and as we were making our small purchase, the man assisting us (Tom) kindly gave my girls a tasty chocolate bar for visiting (he specifically picked out an allergen free one for them after I told him we are vegan). We were able to go outside and sit by the fountain while they enjoyed the bar. As a smaller grocery that only stocks higher quality products, prices are higher than Kroger and similar stores, but this is understandable and I appreciate the efforts to make Moon even better. this place is amazing!! i regularly get fresh groceries here as well as a smoothie/coffee to sip on while i'm shopping and it's the BEST! the staff here are very friendly, attentive, and very helpful! on top of everything, it's a very calm atmosphere as opposed to a regular grocery store that has loud music, extremely bright lights, and noisy in general. i highly recommend this place! read more

This place is amazing. They're small, but everything they have is of the best quality. You feel good buying things there, and the food tastes whole and amazing. Not to mention their cafe, were the chef comes up with a new way to cook different recipes every day! I'm cheap, that's for sure, but it's one of the best places I've been to in Oxford. I have never had better egg salad, They have a wonderful chef (Kye). I am keto and go there for their Lilly sugar free chocolate chips and other items. Did I mention the soup? It is amazing also. They have really unique options in the grocery store part but some of their items are ridiculously overpriced when they are the same brands as whole foods. I am a college student in Oxford, and shopping at moon can be more expensive, but the food they sell is of the highest quality, and the store environment is welcoming. I shop in their bulk section(which is definitely affordable on my budget) and for quality eggs, milk, and veggies. I occasionally splurge on their delicious homemade soups and sandwiches as well as the occasional purchase of humanely raised bacon. Most importantly I go to Moon because i know where my money is going. Moon Co-Op is the best place for high quality organic, local, well researched food. All of the food at Moon is there for a reason. Grass Fed Beef, Pasture Raised Chicken and Eggs, Low Temp. Pasteurized Grass-Fed Milk, Artisan Cheese, Local produce, Organic Bulk Nuts, Grains, Beans, Dried Fruit, Spices, Coffee and Flours, locally made fresh bread, local deserts like Jeni's Ice Cream, and many more diverse high quality foods. This is a little gem in Oxford. Yes, they have the basics and they are more expensive than Krogers, but they have stuff you cannot even find online with the added bonus of instant gratification. If you don't believe me, try finding good organic cornmeal for polenta on Amazon. I love their DELICIOUS shaved coconut and the organic cranberries coated in chocolate. The store also sells lots of goodies from local producers, so you don't have to stress about making it to the market on Saturday morning. I personally mostly shop in their bulk section which offers great value and great quality. I have never tried their deli section. Their supplements and beauty section is pretty basic, but again they have to compete with Kroger prices on those. If you are a student on a budget, that is probably not the place for you. If you like spending way too much money on organic foods, than this is the place for you! I only went here to check out their handmade sandwiches which I was told were really tasty. Without looking at the price, I purchased one. Granted it was delicious, but was $8. I won't be going back, but mainly because I'm not interested in organic. It has that good co-op smell, great sandwiches and soups, the best hummus ever (Chickpea Chicks), Jenni's ice cream, lots of bulk food, great local milk, and a very friendly staff. The selection is small, but I'm happy to support them, and would choose to go here over Kroger any day, if they have what I need. read more

This is a great all natural grocery store. Some things are reasonable priced while other things I just won't buy because I don't want to pay the price. This is very very high quality food. I, for one, am glad that MOON Co-op has finally found a permanent home in Oxford. Are they inexpensive? Nope! But for those of us who seek out the healthiest possible food options (i.e. organic, non-GMO, fair trade, unprocessed), as well as bulk beans, grains and spices, interesting sauces, by-the-case discounts and vegan alternatives, MOON fits the bill. Although I don't have a gluten sensitivity, I've noticed MOON carries quite a few gluten-free products for people who do. You may not choose to do your weekly shopping here, but they certainly deserve a close look to see if they can fill-in the blanks. read more

This is one of those places where you won't mind spending some extra bucks for the freshness and tasteful sandwiches and soups. The ingredients that they use are local and the crunchy veggies they use to prepare sandwiches makes it phenomenal. I am especially a fan of carrot ginger cashew soup, which is totally awesome. I have also become a regular customer of hartzler milk, which is an old fashioned non-homogenized type. I find the taste of the milk real and its easier to digest. My 6 year old kid loves it too, which makes me happier. If you have any dietary restriction, do checkout this place. They surely do have products for every diet type. This is a nice little co-op. Prices are a little high...if you are doing a lot of organic shopping consider becoming a member. They also have staples with special tags that sold near cost. I mainly go there for bulk food bins. I can buy grains and popcorn by the pound at a reasonable cost. Also Kroger is a terrible terrible grocer. read more
