Stephanie made sure she addressed my concerns and shared them with Dr. Chen. As usual, Dr. Chen was a Prince, being both knowledgeable and reassuring. As I no longer have dental insurance, I signed up for their $349 annual "membership". This provides a member with 2 cleanings and a 40% discount on any other dental services they may need. I was recommended to Beam Dental from my oral surgeon. First of all, the office is beautiful, modern and state of the art. Everyone there was so caring and compassionate from the lovely girl at the desk, Dr. Chen and Stephanie, who did my deep cleaning. I would like to mention that Stephanie has been excellent in all the previous cleanings, exercising a thorough and gentle approach to both x-ray and cleaning procedures and she always leaves my teeth feeling brand new each time.** On my most recent visit, Jasmine was my hygienist for the day. She was very pleasant to be around and took great care in cleaning my teeth and providing good preventative care advice. It is also worth saying that I appreciated her intricate strategy of making sure my jaws don't lock up while my teeth were being cleaned because some providers that I have used in the distant past from other offices have not considered it for their patients. Therefore, they may forget the strain that patients experience voluntarily holding their mouths open for long periods of time during cleanings. Afterwards, I met Dr. Chen to assess my teeth and make any recommendations. Dr. Chen was also very pleasant and friendly to work with. It almost felt like I was coming to see a friend when he walked in. And like a good friend would, he gave it to me to straight that I would absolutely need a crown to save my tooth (and surrounding gum, of course) that lost a recently added inlay. I appreciate both Jasmine's and Dr. Chen's honesty and sensitivity to my needs while making their professional recommendations with a touch of good humor. Any patient would be in great hands with this excellent team. A special mention to the administrative staff up front that is very accommodating with explaining costs of any procedures and also scheduling appointments. My son and I had our teeth cleaned here during COVID. They had masks and faceshields and gloves on and offered masks and gloves to patients. They did a decent job cleaning our teeth and giving me a filling. Given the heavy rain when we were about to leave, the dentist even had disposable rain ponchos to give us. We have been going here to see Dr. Park, Dr. Suh, Dr. Yoo and Dr. Nam for dental work and to get our teeth cleaned by Aram and Jasmine since 2019 to date. My son got Invisalign aligners were. They did our fillings and root canals and are all very kind and patient. I have a strong gag reflex and they even were patient with me and scheduled extra time to do my root canal and for teeth cleaning.. This place is also very clean. and spacious. Furthermore, they are able to answer insurance questions well. My insurance covers 2 checkups but only 1 x-ray. In the past I was treated with respect and dignity, but as the years progressed I felt more and more like a dollar sign walking in the door. * lots of issues with making appointments - they cancelled at the last minute twice * they changed my dentist not once but twice without any advance notice * they put in a crown that was too big and that caused problems when I ate. When I went back to have it adjusted, the dentist didn't believe me and told me to wait for the swelling to go down. It's been months now and I'm still having issues and will have to go elsewhere to have further correction. * there was no post-procedure care or advice on how to treat the area, but they were sure to go over my billing at least three times. It felt like they thought I would skip out on paying, even after having been a reliable paying patient for years.
