They both greet you with proper respect and same for when leaving. I took a long dress to be shortened a few inches so that it would not drag on the floor. The tailor refused to shorten it and said the length was correct for that style of dress. I literally could not walk in that dress without stepping on the hem. After lots of discussion without the tailor budging from this position, I finally left with my dress. Moon sewing shop altered my Mother of the Groom's dress. They did a wonderful job with the length alteration & also sewed the front so that the cleavage wasn't so low. It was ready for pick up within four days. Two days after picking up the dress, I tried it on and pulled the zipper too hard and it split. I rushed back to Moon Sewing shop. They were able to fix the zipper (which split because of me) and I got it back the next day. I will definitely recommend them and will go back. They were SO KIND and helpful. read more

I called and asked if they do dresses and he said yes. First off he doesn't speak good English. I felt wrong with leaving my dresses there but i said ill give it a shot. He does only machine work so don't expect anything else. The dresses were to long and needed to be hemmed and when i got them back they were not even. The bottom layer is longer than the top and that's only on half the dress. DO NOT BRING CLOTHES TO HIM!!!! ONLY FURNITURE! AND HE ONLY TAKES CASH OR CHECK. And very expensive for just hemming... I only gave him 1 star because the furniture i saw he had done was beautiful. read more

Our grand dog chewed our sofa cushion. The policy we purchased at Ethan Allen didn't cover replacement because it had been done by an animal. Then we learned that the fabric had been discontinued. We were distraught! In shopping around to find a solution at Savvy fabrics in Williamsburg and others, we found no solution. Finally, I had a very high recommendation for Moon Sewing Shop in Williamsburg. The gentleman at the shop looked at the cushion and said he could repair it using the arm cover. At that point we were just grateful to have the cushion mended. I was unbelievably surprised and completely satisfied with the work Moon did on our cushion. The pattern of the fabric when sewn on the cushion was perfectly matched. In looking at the cushion, it is difficult to detect that it has been repaired. This is truly the work of an expert.
