We have had some issues with our neighbors and the team helped us to select some cost-effective large shrubs for planting along the property line, in addition to some enormous trees to provide instant privacy in the backyard, above the fence. Rich at moon nurseries took great care of us in May 2022 helping us pick plants to obstruct the view into our neighbors backyard all while considering soil conditions & lighting. He has personally come to our house three times. Once to mark where the plant should be installed, 2nd when we were concerned about yellowing leaves, and even today (5 months after install) just to make sure everything was doing well & review the recommended soil treatment. He has even been nice enough to look at plants that they didn't install & discuss proper care & treatments. Poor customer service after purchase and installation. Also the recommendation given for our front flower bed left the trees and plants spaced too closely together, and they delivered the wrong lantana for the front section. Repeated calls to swap out and difficult to get in touch with them. We ended up removing the lantana ourselves and the remaining shrubs have grown into one another - a project we didn't plan on fixing if they had planted with correct spacing. Overpriced trees, poor customer service. Spend the time to shop around for a better nursery. read more

Each time, I could not say enough good things about Ken and his entire team. They have always been on time, very professional, and most of all ensure its done 100% to the customers satisfaction with out the process feeling hurried or pressured. Our experience with Moon Valley Conroe was exceptional. We were serviced by Zac. We appreciated his knowledge, patience and time with us. He listened to our needs and was able to show us all our options along with answering all our questions. We had a nice selection of options and decided on a large lot of Leland Cypress trees along with delivery and planting. Everything turned out perfect! Brian and his delivery team did excellent with timing of delivery, proper planting and clean up. Trees have been in the ground for almost a month and they are thriving. We have since gone back to Moon Valley for plants and have recommended this location to several friends. Delivery & and install went fine. A couple plants croaked and were replaced without charge. Now 6 months later the $2000 palm tree is showing signs of ill health and Moon Valley Nursery won't return calls or answer text message with. Y'all be careful buying expensive plants from these folks cause their not real good about helping you once they have your money. Oh and that little reply by Moon Valley about contacting me... I did the free home consultation. Guy seemed nice so I went to the office. Made a big order and then call a week before delivery to add some plants. They fired the guy and I got a new guy. Things that were promised didn't happen. Only 5 plants of 25 are still alive a year later. They never followed up until I got some messages after the freeze. One call was rude stating " we called and haven't heard back from you". Avoid this place. Find a smaller nursery that cares. This is another corporation that just wants your money. read more

I bought many palms from them and had them plant them in the past few years. They were very helpful finding what I wanted and delivered within a week. All of the palms were healthy and survived the initial planting. While initially happy with the purchase, I later found out while shopping other nurseries in the area that they are about 50% more expensive than most companies in the area. That is my fault for not shopping it, but most companies price their products to be competitive in their area. Not them - lesson learned. If you don't care about how much money you spend, then these are your guys. read more

We went in just looking for some bushes to replace the ones the freeze got. Mitch met us at the door and answered all our questions. He never rushed us or made it feel like he was in a hurry to make a sale. The place has any kind of bush or tree you would like. We bought two gardenias. The bushes were excellent quality and when we got them home and went to plant the roots were in excellent condition. He also had a great story about "Moon Juice" that has us still laughing. After being told the the warranty would be the life of the ligustrum and paying extra for the warranty I come to find out that what they said is a lie . I have had this shrub since 9/2020 and now the leaves are falling off . I have 3 ligustrums in a row and only 1 is losing its leaves. We went to this place looking for shrubs and asked specifically for deer resistant shrubs and after spending over $2000+ to have them planted and everything within a few days the deer had gotten to them and killed them. I rejoined YELP specifically to let people know my experience with Moon Nursery and in particular with the employees of Moon Nursery. I had trees delivered to my new home in Woodforest and the crew that came was so amazing! Not only were they on time and the trees beautiful but they were also so helpful with other items in my yard. The supervisor, Ken had so much knowledge of all the plants. He told me how to take care of some that weren't doing very well which weren't even part of the plants he delivered. Evidently he grew up in the nursery growing business so his knowledge of plants was awesome. Everything looks great it's been several months and as I'm looking at my yard, it makes me smile. We spent $5,500 on approximately 20 "large" trees. They cut a utility line and told us we had to get it fixed. They also planted a few trees in the wrong spot where the trees should have been in a straight line. The trees were inconsistent sizes and staked crooked. Will not return. read more
