Problem is they don't sell in store made authentic salsas for them. That is where La Michoacana comes to the rescue with their wonderful assortment of fresh made salsas. They sell about 6-7 kinds plus a container of spicy red onion/raw veggies pickled up Mexican style. Only problem the cashier lady told me one of the salsa's was really mild. Well it wasn't and my hubby ended up not being able to have salsa on his tamales. Hence the 4stars for the review! The fresh and marinated meat department is 5 Star! It takes up the entire back side the grocery store. It's also very organized and the gentleman spoke English :)! Much of the marinated meats are also cut up in the marinade ready for grilling/barbecuing. They have a smaller bakery section where prices fluctuate on whether they or Arandas Bakery has better pricing. Their Tres Leches cakes don't look made on location either. Great pricing on veggies. Plus everything looked fresh! Good sized poblano peppers. They have the typical taqueria section section to get a quick snack or meal like their other grocery stores around the Greater Houston Metropolitan area! They are re-doing the ladies restroom so you'll have to use the men's restroom for now if Mother Nature is calling. I'll be back and Reccomend this place :).

Fortunately, Stone Cold Meats recently took over this space, and I was really excited to check them out because their other locations were highly rated. And it turns out: I see why. I came here to stock up on Super Bowl food: steaks, burgers, sausage and some sides. Almost all of it was a home run. Or, a touchdown, I guess I should say. I ordered 3 bone-in ribeyes and they turned out to be really great. I was a little concerned because they were not nearly as pricey as they are at some nicer butcher shops, but my concerns were unfounded. Great steaks, great prices. I also ordered some brisket mac-n-cheese, two different kinds of potato salad, some brisket burgers and some sausage stuffed with mac-n-cheese. The potato salads and sausage were a big hit. The burgers and mac were just okay. But that's okay because the important stuff was awesome. When I purchased my stuff, the woman asked me if I wanted to sign up for their rewards program. Normally I hate giving my information out, but I was happy to do it in this case. Apparently, you can get some really good deals once you earn enough points. I foresee a future with many points earned.

For my birthday I asked for a Prime rib roast. The buying experience at the store (in Conroe) was so much better than other options in the area that it's almost not a fair fight. The butcher was super friendly, listened closely to what I wanted, and gave me multiple choices. He brought out two entire rib racks, trimmed them down in front of us, and gave us a choice of which one, and which end. After enduring the barely helpful butchers at larger stores, this was like a breath of fresh air. The piece we chose was exactly what we wanted, and when it was finally time to eat we were blown away. The texture and the flavor of the meat was better than anything we've ever had, comparable only to the finest steakhouses like Vic & Anthony's or Pappas Brothers. It was amazing. See the last two pictures, below. To say that SCM will be our butchers from now on is an understatement. For a little extra you not only get better meat than elsewhere, you get a truly fun and engaging shopping experience. Last Review (October 2024) This is my favorite new store of any kind in the entire county. The assortment and quality of meats is amazing, but I most appreciated the owner's knowledge and enthusiasm, and especially his willingness to spend time discussing his various products and his favorite way to cook them. We've been back several times since our first visit last week and their mild Italian sausage that we cooked this week (with peppers and onions) was truly outstanding. Then we tried their brisket burgers and THEY were amazing! This is a very welcome addition to the area and we'll be regulars.

Dressing inside the turkey was amazing. We order extra dressing and it was very dry and crumbly, very disappointing and not well like, Green bean Casserole was very good, rolls were average. Over we would rate them ok for a family gathering , biggest issue was ordered to pick up at 11am and received text would not be ready until 2pm which wasn't that big of a deal, got there at 2 and still was not ready. Price was very good for what you got.

I don't always subscribe to the…read moresaying "the customer is always right" as I know this can be subjective and some customers abuse this to their advantage. In this situation, and PLEASE trust the reviews, the customers are right. I have never came across a manager with such lack of professionalism, lack of tact, lack of self-awareness, and lack of customer service. I received an arrangement that looked nothing like the arrangement that was ordered. The manager, Asha or Aisha, delivered the arrangement. She spoke to me in a frustrated/unprofessional tone as she could not easily find the address. I was away from the house and informed I would not return for about an hour or so but asked her to leave it on the porch and would have my sister pick it up. Yes the white chocolate was a bit out of place because of it being outside but that has nothing to do with the way the arrangement was put together. It looked sloppy and poorly designed. Nothing like the picture. When the manager was contacted (by the sender), she was rude and said she did a great job with the arrangement and said it was my fault if it looked bad because I asked her to leave it on the porch. She made no attempt to rectify the situation. Just kept being rude and passing blame. This was a very expensive arrangement and it is very unfortunate. Calling corporate was absolutely useless as they leave it up to the local store to make it right. This lady is delusional in her abilities in putting a decent arrangement together and her customer service skills are non-existent. In her mind, the customer is a POS who will always be wrong. Please stay away from this place. Believe the reviews!
