I moved to Scottsdale in April and didn't have a chance to do my taxes and filed for an extension. I read the yelp reviews on Moon Water and decided to give them a call along with a few others. Didn't receive call backs from some and other prices were extremely high. I connected with Amanda immediately. their prices are very fair. She is very understanding and patient. My taxes turned out to be a bit more complicated than i expected and Amanda was very thorough in her responses and also patient in explaining it all to me. I'm so glad I found Moon Water and Amanda. So,, I was late doing my taxes for last year and when November got here I decided that mayyybbe I should think about getting them done so to prevent any kind of medical insurance "issues" to start the new year with. A little bit of a delay but I think that is a pretty smart decision to make. My first time using the "Project" feature in this Yelp app too, which turned out to be another smart decision on my part. I mean, those two should not only take away that bad one (late on taxes), but I would say that I am up one now! I am feeling better about myself already.. Ok, back to the review.. So, after answering some questions I get answers from about 8 places that do taxes. Half of those places answered back pretty much saying that I'm out of luck, and just like that the 8 possibilities turns into the 4 possibilities. By now I had decided to call all of these places myself so that I can better explain my situation and ask a few questions of my own. Left messages at 2 of them and still haven't received a call back at all.. I also decided to contact three other places that I found on my own without the app, so, if you are doing the math here, that's 5. I chose Moon Water because not only did they give me a better price than the other 4, but when I initially contacted them I spoke with Amanda,, and she answered everyone of my questions without me feeling like I was being rushed in any way,, she was extremely nice to me and was very understanding when I said that I was going to contact a couple more places before choosing one,, and after speaking to those last three places it was clear who I was going to pick. All that happened yesterday, which was 11/12/24,, it's now 11/13/24 and my taxes are DONE! I didn't even leave my house!!! I was sent a link, I just uploaded everything that Amanda had requested from me, woke up this morning with a couple of questions sent to me by email yesterday, replied to the email with my answers, and BAM! Next thing you know I am "e-signing" the completed tax papers, paying the fee online, and Amanda tells me that she has filed them for me! I know there is a deadline every year to get your taxes filed,, but, if I wasn't so late this year I probably would've never even found this place. How is that teaching me a lesson? It isn't.. screw that f'n deadline!!! That's what I'm sayin! I mean, some unfortunate life events in my past has giving me some anxiety issues, which seems to get in the way with ALLOT of different aspects of my life and getting these taxes done every year is one of them. Before having these issues I would not have understood how some of the things in my life that I never had any problems doing before, would all of a sudden become so difficult to even think about doing. Getting these taxes done has become so mentally draining for me that this years deadline to get them done just went right on by and all I did was flip it off as it was going by.. and I would've kept that bird flying high too, if it wasn't for a little bit of motivation that I received in the form of a letter informing me of some potential future issues that I would be facing if I didn't get them filed soon. Funny how a little motivation can get things done. And done they are! I will be a return customer for sure! If you are needing any of the services that this place offers then you should do it,,,, for me.. so that they can keep doing these for me every year! Just sayin... read more
