Let me begin by saying I'm 31 and have been going here since I was in Jr. High School with band uniforms. Since then, I've been spending between $4-6K a year here on dry cleaning. A couple months ago I had taken a bag of clothes and when I picked them up, a James Perse ($265) dress was missing so I ended up calling and going back asking where it was. The woman came out and said, "I count. Nothing missing". I disagreed and asked her to please check the back in "lost and found". She refused. From this point forward, I had begun taking pictures of whatever I dropped off on her counter so if something went missing; I could show her that it was lost. A few weeks ago I had taken a bag of clothes to them but when I picked them up, a pair of pants were ruined (NSF pants, about $250). The pants had pilling all over them, thinned material, etc. (they were only worn once). I brought back another bag of clothes and informed her about the ruined pair of pants, showed her and told her I wanted her to pay for the mistake. She refused but took my bag of clothes. Minutes after I left, she called and said there was a top that had a stain and she might not be able to get it out. I said that was fine and to try. I waited a few days, went to pick up my clothing and she had thrown them all on the counter saying they were clean. They were clearly not cleaned so I asked her if they were and she kept saying, "clean". When I asked why they were scrunched up, and thrown on the counter, she said, "you not happy, no clean". I said, "of course I'm not happy, you lost a dress of mine, and ruined a pair of pants and now, I waited four days and drove all the way out to pick up my (expected to be clean) dry cleaning... it's not even cleaned. You wasted my time and disrespected me." She kept repeating "not happy, no clean" and I grabbed my things and walked out. All of a sudden she had a very strong accent and could understand very little English. She lost a huge customer and will no longer be back. I wish Jennifer the best in her retirement with her husband but I am sad to see a good cleaner go to crap... just look at the recent reviews. I have submitted a claim on BBB and hope to be refunded for these recent mistakes on behalf of Moonlight. read more

They are the best!! They took my daughters expensive light colored sweater covered in stains and just looking yucky. Hoping they could do better on those stubborn stains, then i was. They sure did. It looked amazing!! Impressive, fair and friendly! Great find!!!! read more

I have been a loyal customer for several years. Recently I checked on line for the store's hours and found the Yelp reviews. It started me thinking about my recent experiences since the ownership changed. They did a fantastic job altering some evening gowns and sewing patches onto a jersey. But they cut corners repairing my husband's suit. He had worn through a pants pocket and needed a new one made. The previous owner used to construct a completely new pocket. This time it was simply patched. I was surprised but didn't say anything because I thought I had been misunderstood. I will continue to bring business to them but will be more selective, for example simple hemming. read more

Good for dry cleaning. That's about it. I was so disappointed in the customer service given by the rude owner on having my wedding gown altered. To top it off the gown ended up not fitting correctly the day of my wedding. We spent way to much to have my dress falling off of me. I would not recommend any bride use this place for alterations. read more

Just picked up my dress pants that needed to be hemmed. Dropped it off yesterday afternoon and the lady owner was very friendly. She wanted to make sure I was happy about how much length was to be hemmed. And the service took a day, you can get same day pickup for $2 extra but I didn't need to. I called many places in Elk Grove and they were all the same price for $10 to hem slacks. I read the good reviews from Yelp on this location and decided to go with them and I'm glad I did..Excellent service!! read more

My husband loves to procrastinate and when he realized his suit wasn't ready, we had to think fast. Luckily Moonlight is open early, they were able to get us same day service at a reasonable price. They really take the time to get to know their customers and are a great asset to of what this community needs. I have a petite frame so it's difficult to buy proper fitting clothes all the time but I have a peace of mind knowing i can count on Jennifer who does all of my dress alterations including my wedding dress this year. Unfortunately, my mom passed away. I had to get a very special dress dry-cleaned for her quickly, so I could deliver it to the funeral home for Mom to be buried in. I called several Dry Cleaners nearby in the morning, but none could deliver it same-day. When I explained my situation to a gentleman on the phone at Moonlight, he said to go ahead and bring it in now and it would be done by 3pm. When I arrived, a woman graciously accepted Mom's dress, expressed condolences and shared her own touching life/death experiences. She was so kind to me during a very difficult time, I wanted to write this review for them. Plus, Mom's dress was ready as promised, and the cost was very reasonable. It even smelled good, and stains that were there for over 20 years were removed! I will definitely use Moonlight for future needs, including restoring a crochet blanket my mom made 40 years ago and my 21-year-old wedding dress. read more

I had a bridesmaid dress that needed alterations. The dress needed to be taken out a bit, and the bust was surrounded by gemstones. I was skeptical that this alteration would work, but the people at moonlight cleaners did a phenomenal job! You can't even tell my dress was altered, and it fits like a glove. They had it finished within a couple of weeks, and it looks amazing!! I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing any kind of alteration, especially a fancy dress!! read more

Moonlight cleaners deserves its five stars from me! I took in my daughters favorite hoodie an abercrombie n fitch , pink lettering,all white that had two black stains. My wife is usually able to get various stains out of clothes but not this time. We have had numerous pants shortened here and am always impressed with the quality of work they do so I thought lets see what they can do. I dropped it off and pointed out the two stains and I told him we tried everything and he said "we will see what we can do". Well let me tell you they not only got the stains out but they cleaned it so well it looked better than new because it was pressed and in plastic! They only charged 6 dollars. The look on my daughters face said it all! This place is excellant at what they do and are very reasonable priced, They saved me from replacing an expensive hoodie for my daughter and for that I am thankful!!! read more
