It's definitely a laundry mat, let me go with what is good then cover the bad. Good: plenty of machines, I went on a Thursday afternoon around 4:30p and it wasn't busy, they are coin operated and have machines for change. Pretty straightforward, no attendant when I went so if you want someone to show you how to use them, there was no one around! Plenty of dryers that do look clean and not burnt from the inside. I have been going to this place for years ever since I moved to Elk Grove. I like the fact it's 24hours, there are usually no problems here. Every now and then a homeless person will be in there charging thier phone, but no issues at all. Today was a different story. I washed a load of my clothes, and when I came back they were gone, as in STOLEN. Someone took my clothes from a washer and just left. I searched everywhere and my clothes have just vanished. I reached out to the number that is on the wall to report the theft. I let then know that I had been gone 45min right in the area. When I returned clothes were gone. This place has a very extensive camera system. So I had to text the number (because they don't take calls) and tell them what happened. They asked if I had description or license plate number of the people who may have taken my items..."Ummmm no, but you have these cameras here in which we could see who did it". The reponse I got was, "even seeing who did it, we will not be able to identify the person." Me: Well at least I would know who stole my clothes, and you would know also so that if you ever see this person in the laundromat again, you know they are not there for any good. Family of 5 and washer down for a week is not a good combo! So to the laundromat we go! Arrived at 6am in a Sunday, thinking of a head of the crowd lol. When we arrived the super large washers were already gone! Thankfully the house size washers were still available. Did 3 loads at once and was out in 40 mins (dried clothes at home). I'm not sure why the reviews are so low. When our washing machine needed a repair that took over a week, we needed a laundromat. Launderland on Elk Grove Blvd was clean, well-kept and machines smelled great. There were lots of machines available on a Sunday afternoon in January. The clientele was polite. Prices were reasonable: $3.75 for a regular washer, $5.00 for a big, and $9.25 for gigantic. I would definitely bring laundry here again. read more

Went there at 5:30am on a Monday. Only 1 large capacity washer open and I needed to take care of my comforters. Loaded the machine, detergent and money and just as luck would have it the start button malfunctioned (the start button looked like it was obviously worn out from peeps pressing with a ton of force). Lack of maintenance IMO. Goodbye to my $9 bucks in quarters and detergent. Loaded back up and drove to Love Laundry at Franklin and Florin. Highly recommended over this place. Price for the giant machines is now $10.25. I liked that I could choose water temp and type of wash cycle. I was washing a king size comforter; the cleaners wanted $55 to wash it!!!! The laundromat was reasonably clean. Other customers were pleasant. It was midafternoon on a weekday.The dryer stole some of my quarters, but the attendent/manager refunded them. Went to wash my comforter. It's was $9.25 for the jumbo machine. It's a 25 minute cycle but you can add money to extend it. It's a was a few bucks to dry. It had a decent amount of people there but people kept to themselves. Dryer sheets all over the floor but other than that it's pretty clean. Bring quarters if you have them. read more

My washer was down so I had to come here temporarily and I had a great experience for a weeks worth worth of washing/drying. $3.75 for small (personal), $4.00 for house-sized washer, and $9.00 for humongous loads. $0.25 for 6minutes on their dryers. I came to wash my blankets and comforters before the weather cools. I don't frequent laundromats so I don't have much to compare my experience to. Nonetheless, the machines I used worked fine. The price for the large washers was $9.25, seems expensive to me I was able to put about 3 blankets or two large comforters in one which expedited my washing time. The dryer cost .25 for about 6 minutes (you do the math). The place was clean for the most part. There were a few towels under a couple washers, so I can assume that those leaked. The ups and downs of doing laundry while traveling! Elk Grove Launderland has plenty of washers and dryers and while I can't vouch for all of them, I didn't have trouble with any that I used. The good news is that there are plenty of machines, the bad news is they are crammed into a tight space so that whenever you are loading and unloading, there is always someone who needs to pass by you. Not the cleanest but not too dirty. Biggest beef is no restroom. You spend enough time in a laundromat that restrooms are really needed. read more

Plenty of parking in the large lot outside. Have always been able to get change for the machines each time I've stopped by. Have not had any trouble with clothes getting stuck or ruined in any of the machines I've used and all machine controls have been in good repair. Since this is open 24 hrs a day, should not have any problem getting access to the machines depending on your personal schedules. I used to come here when I was younger and surprised it was updated and expanded. Open 24/7.. 2 rooms, washers, dryers, and folding tables.. some seating and there was a dude there that I think was just there to charge his phone, no mask. But who's really going to regulate mask wearing here anyway? There's no attendant. There's signs with a number to call or text for some customer service.. The place was air conditioned well. I went early and it was acceptably clean.. When I worked in the food service industry, I always had cash from tips on hand but now that I don't, it's card payment all the way and this place isn't card friendly. After a year or so it started to go down, homeless people sleeping in it, machines not as clean and I witnessed people doing drugs on the clothing counters. I didn't come back until right now to clean a comforter. My hope was it was better. It is worse! This place is absolutely disgusting, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in days. The lights in the parking lot are all off, it's pitch black. There was a shady guy at the front door. Wet clothes are on the ground, on top of machines, in baskets. There are cigarette butts on the ground, gunk, used gloves, lint, food and food wrappers. Trash cans are over flowing. This is horrible! I won't be back. Environment is brightly lit, modern & clean. Most washers are front loaders. I had used the 2-loader ($3.25) & 3-loader ($5) machines. There are plenty of tables for folding laundry. I'm fortunate that I only have to occasionally use a laundromat to wash big items like a king size comforter and blankets. I should probably wash them more than I do but going to the laundromat isn't exactly what I'd call exciting or fun so today I decided to do wash. Some Yelpers have complained about the cost but I'd rather come here than the other alternative South Sac sites. You know....it's a demographic thing. Even though I grew up in the hood, I'd rather not mingle while doing wash, it's a little too intimate for me. Plus it's nice having Harbor Freight (yes I'm a fan of those cheap Chinese tools that Trump wants to raise the tariff on) and Smart &Final in the same lot so I can do something while waiting. The extra large washer was around $9 plus change; medium were $5 each. Don't know what the regular washer cost. Today is kinda odd.....when I arrived there was only one gal and she was finishing up and the rest of us are menfolk....7 including me. Divorcees or just kind hearted mates volunteering to do wash. Hmmm.....I don't dare peek to see if I can see any womenly items....that would be creepy. Oh...one yelper complained about a bum. I've seen him around before but not today. Maybe he's the owner in disguise. Hahaha! Anyways, this place expanded taking up another 15 or so feet to accommodate additional dryers...nice! I probably would give this place no stars if I could. This is the only coin laundromat in Elk Grove. And believe me they take advantage of it. I wanted to wash a comforter of mine, and need a large-capacity washer. When I first went in to check to see if there was a washer available, the place is clean for the most part and was slightly busy. I was a little bit taken aback and almost passed out when I saw the cost of the large washers. When if I go to any other town you can use a large washer for anywhere from 4 to $7. $9.25 was a little bit of highway robbery. As I said earlier I think they take advantage of being the only one in Elk Grove. I refuse to pay that much for a laundromat washing machine. This place is not all that and a bag of chips. yeah i don't like laundermats for the simple reason people are literally gross and don't know how to clean up after themselves. For that reason- whoever owns this establishment should really consider hiring a cleaning crew that comes twice a day, maybe even three times to ensure that places like these are being kept up to sanitization standards. Usually I'll come home with a headache after going to the laundry, but I have been here twice with great accommodations and shockingly, it's been great place to sit down and read a book while waiting for your laundry.
