There are 18 units that are efficiencies. They are kept very well and have a kitchen and lovely bathroom. Everything is provided for you. There is a spring fed pool that you can swim in. The property is adjacent to the water, so you can fish or sit outside and enjoy the view. The motel is located just a few blocks from downtown and there are restaurants, gift and coffee shops. There are trails and water near by and Dave took his electric bike all over today. What a great place to visit and relax for a few days! They even let us park Pandy right across from our room! They provide grills and briquettes for their quests and there is a covered area with picnic tables where you can eat. Thank you Kings Bay for an enjoyable stay! I was there to celebrate my birthday, and she had a banner over the bed and a nice bottle of champagne waiting in my room--such a thoughtful touch. You definitely won't go hungry here. There were muffins, bagels, cookies, fruit, snacks, and more than I could count. For breakfast, there were eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, and plenty of options to cook at your leisure. Drinks ranged from water and juice to soda, beer, and wine. I stayed in the Scallop Room on the ground floor. Each room has its own key, private bathroom, TV, and everything you might need. The bed was comfortable and very clean. In the evening, the owner lit the fire pit and provided s'mores so we could sit by the river, watch the sunset, and relax. Outside, there are kayaks, paddle boards, water bikes, and more. It was my first time kayaking on the river, and I had a wonderful time watching a manatee and her baby (from a respectful distance), along with fish jumping and birds diving. One of those special days I'll remember for years. My husband and I debated where to stay and took a risk with Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B, since we couldn't find a lot of reviews online. We booked the manatee room because we were charmed by the eccentric decor (it seemed better than a potentially run down room in a generic chain hotel) and we could not have been happier with our choice! While in Crystal River, we spent a lot of money on private boat tours (Manatees in Paradise is the best if you're wondering), but you don't even need to book a tour if you stay here. They have a manatee sanctuary spring pretty much on the property (populated by 30+ manatees during our stay). Plus, they have tons of water toys you can use and everything you need to swim with the manatees on site. Many of the boat tours would anchor there so people could swim with the manatees, but we had a perfect view of them by just standing on the lawn and looking into the spring, something the people on the boat tours couldn't do. Truly, it was the best manatee experience we had in Crystal River! Our room in the B&B was comfortable, clean, and completely charming, if not luxurious. It feels a bit like visiting your most artistic friend or family member. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which came in handy as the weather was cold during our stay. The kitchen was overflowing with a huge assortment of snacks, drinks (including wine and beer), and food you can prepare if you're so inclined. I've already recommended Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B to friends, and we will absolutely stay here next time we visit!

Our reservation packet was in the late-arrival box. Nice color-map with good description of amenities. Beyond this the service was almost non-existent. Bath House was not the cleanest and the men's has only ONE toilet and ONE urinal. There are only TWO showers, although never had to wait. Shower debris were not cleaned during the four days. The left-side sink faucet handle was broken and spews water all over your pants because it has no aerator. Trash dumpsters are located at three corners of the park, but not the main entrance, so not easy to drop trash. I had walked our nightly trash to the bath house only to find no place for it. There was a single trash can by the fire pit but it was overflowing. Quiet: Pretty good here because many of the sites are long-term, so they aren't outside making noise. Cleanliness: Besides the bath house mentioned earlier, parts of the park are okay, like the office, pool and shuffleboard areas. Many of the long-term residents have junk piled up on their properties that detracts heavily from the cleanliness. The back of site F05 has a direct view of the long-term resident behind it and it looks like a junkyard with a lot of broken down items and storage units in very poor condition. Summary: Although the price was good, we decided we wouldn't stay here again unless it was the only place available.

I finally found a young man employed by the park, who was actually talking on the phone with the manager. He was able to advise me to check our email confirmation for our site number. Fortunately, it was there. When we got set up on our tiny space, it dawned on us we did not have any paperwork showing the internet password or the codes to the restrooms or pool. I left 2 more messages for the office, as it was still closed. I never heard anything back from them. Definitely will not be staying there again.

Jim checked us in and got us parked, and daily we saw friendly folks cleaning, on golf carts and in the office. They have a huge clubhouse that will be great for large gatherings with several seating areas and a bar.

I had the pleasure of running into a couple of awesome professionals here last week, Shay and Karen. I parked my car in the lot and went into the Hotel because I had heard the bar area was cool. It was not open yet so they directed me to Yamas, which is a restaurant attached to the hotel where you have to walk outside the back of the hotel to get to it. When I came back and my car was... gone. At first I thought they must have towed it, but was quickly assured by the front desk that they had not. At that point, I was not in a state of panic, but now I have the specifics of my insurance coverage bouncing around in my head and the value of not only the car itself, but the stuff in it. I had had some drinks at Yamas during lunch but I was far from in the bag. I had a clear picture in my head of where I had parked. I have parked in the byzantine streets of big cities plenty of times and have always been able to find my car, and this was just a hotel parking lot. I was ready to call the coppers when Shay and Karen were sent over to deal with the situation. They were kind and sagacious enough to suggest that they go out and walk the lot just to make sure before kicking it to the next level. I was skeptical as I was so sure I knew exactly where I had parked it. 5 minutes later they came back and announced that they had found it... On the other side of the parking lot. At that point I thought I had been pranked by the person who has the spare key, but they swore they had nothing to do with it. And how could they have even known I was there anyway? It is still a mystery as to how it got from where I am sure I had parked it to where they found it. I was hardly wasted, and have never suffered from bouts of acute amnesia, but somehow I must have moved it and forgotten about it. In any case, to conclude this long story, I have no other experience with this hotel yet, but if this is the level of service at the front line staff level, I would highly recommend paying them a visit. I was walking around Eastport on a Saturday, early evening, and decided to check out the hotel. It's right on the lake and has beautiful views. They have an inside/outside bar, facing the water and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy a drink, the music and the lovely scenery of the lake and wildlife. Our bartender was friendly and fast. We decided to sit on a bench watching the sun go down. We also took time to walk around the lobby. It's not big, but it is new and follows the Eastport theming well - it feels kinda retro and modernish at the same time. The hotel also has a restaurant attached to it, Yamas, which is an upscale Mediterranean dining spot. I haven't eaten there yet, but I've heard good things so far. If you stay at the hotel, the room rates are reasonable for the area (compared to the hotels at Brownwood or Lake Sumter) and they have many rooms that face the lake. They also had corn hole and a mini-putting green outside for added enjoyment. Will definitely come back again to check out more that the spot has to offer.
