Sometime around December 22, 2025 I developed an issue with my lower back. Debilitating to say the least! Having been to Moore Chiropractic in the past I would become a patient again starting December 30, 2025. After having an xray and MRI it revealed that I definitely have some issues with my lower back. I began my chiropractic therapy. Then introduced to the spinal decompression therapy. When I first started chiropractic care and spinal decompression therapy, I was skeptical and unsure how much it would actually help. My treatment plan was recommended for six months, including regular decompression table sessions for 24 visits. I trusted the chiropractor and staff, even though I was uncertain about both the process and the financial commitment. By my 12th visit, I seriously considered stopping treatment because I wasn't sure I could afford to continue. Looking back now, I am incredibly grateful that I kept going. After completing my 24th visit, I can honestly say my symptoms have improved dramatically. The nerve pain and discomfort have subsided greatly, and the spinal decompression treatments made a significant difference in my recovery and it'll be ongoing. I truly appreciate the care, encouragement, and professionalism of the chiropractor and staff throughout this process. About every five years or so I have a recurrence of my sciatica symptoms stemming from an old injury. I ended up being barely able to walk for about a month with pain in the nerve going down my leg. I did not receive the help that I needed from another chiropractor that I was referred to, so in desperation I tried physical therapy which also did not help to address my problem. After a gym injury and a bout of sickness that left me unable to move much for weeks, i ended up with a chronic pinched nerve in my neck. After a week, it became unbearable, and after a few days of not being able to move it at all, I went to see Dr. Moore. He did the x-rays which gave me great confidence in him as a provider, knowing exactly where the issue was and where to target, made me feel at ease. After one visit i was able to move and was no longer in excruciating pain. I had some stomach issues that were getting worse. The medical doctors just kept giving me more medications. I had an appointment with Dr. Moore for my neck and back. While there I mentioned my stomach problems and he adjusted my back and massaged my stomach area. By the end of the day I was doing so much better. I saw him in a couple of days and told him how excited I was. My nausea, pain and other stomach problems and disappeared and I was able to stop taking all of the prescribed medications. I have been coming to see Dr. Moore since my car accident (approximately October) and there has been tremendous improvement in my upper back and neck . The x-rays shows the before and after proof that I have been re-aligned back to center. The last improvement that I have seen was the sharp neck pain when I moved my neck to the right has gone away completely. He has been working with me until I am fully restored. Well, I don't even know where to start... First, I want to say that Dr. Moore is the absolute best, and his staff are excellent. I have suffered from headaches for 5 years! Some of them were 17-26 days at a time. I have been to many doctors, including an endometriosis specialist (I have stage 4 endometriosis), and everything I was recommended to try didn't work. I was told to try and change out my IUD, get massages, and injections in the back of my neck, and take tension headache medication (which I took for a year and was a highly addictive medication that started to cause memory loss and I wasn't told about any of that), some other medications and acupuncture. I was diagnosed with tension headaches with occasional migraines, but nothing anyone recommended worked. My boyfriend talked me into going to Dr. Moore, and for the FIRST time in 5 years, my headaches are under control. He was willing to listen to me and took it seriously. He did x-rays and found out that my neck has many issues, and so does my back. After a month under his care, I have only had a headache or two. I am beyond thankful and amazed at how well I am doing. In September 2019, an SUV rear-ended my vehicle on Hilltop Drive as I was on my way home from work. I dutifully pulled over, waiting for the SUV to follow suit, where we could exchange insurance information and go through the normal process in reporting the accident. That wasn't the case. Being a "responsible" Redding driver, they drove away. They sped away on Hilltop, and I wasn't able to get the license plate number for the police. I'll spare the details, but it's never fun to deal with a hit-and-run claim when you're stunned and traumatized, your body being rammed at 30-40 miles per hour from behind. The day after, I was in some serious lower back, hip and neck pain. I took the day off work to regroup and recover, both physically and mentally. With all the physical pain I was in, I knew I needed some kind of orthopedic doctor, or a chiropractor. I didn't want surgery or a quick pain medication fix. I needed some kind of physical therapy model...Thus, I scrambled to find a chiropractor in my insurance network, and Dr. Moore was the first one that popped up. "It's a great day at Moore Chiropractic..." a positive female voice answered. It was Marissa. I explained my entire situation. She could tell I was in fresh distress. "Let's get you in today," they said. I was very thankful she was able to schedule me that same day. When you walk into Dr. Moore's office, it is such a pleasant, friendly and professional environment. Moung and Marissa manned the front desk, and were always available to answer my anxiety-laden questions about insurance costs or treatment. Currently, his son, Curtis and his wife, Donna also work in the office, which bespeaks a family pride in the work they do together. I'll first start out by saying that Dr. Moore handles accident cases very well. The first day I established care, he immediately conducted an assessment and took X-rays. Dr. Moore evaluated the X-rays that same evening and gave me feedback. The genuine care he has for helping your pain is very reassuring, and you know you are in good hands. He then prescribed the treatment, scheduling me for 3 days a week of adjustments, for at least 4 months. As much as I groused and grumbled about the time commitment, having to wait for hours doing all this therapy, I readily complied. After all, we were talking about my spine, here. Spinal health is nothing to take lightly, I've learned. Due to the impact of the accident, my lower back was completely thrown out. Part of my mid-thoracic spine was also out. It was painful enough where I wasn't able to run (one of my favorite spiritually-uplifting exercise activities). Sitting too long was hard and laying down was also unpleasant. At any rate, I faithfully did all the spinal rehabilitation exercises he gave me to do. Every night, about 20 minutes before bed, I did the exercises, and it eventually just became a soothing pre-sleep ritual. I followed his regimen from September until about February. Thus, for about 5 months, I kept at it. I kept showing up to appointments, turning on the table, and letting him adjust me. To boil this all down, my time spent at Dr. Moore's practice was completely worth it. When it comes to your spinal health, you can't really put a price tag on it. It literally holds your life together. Dr. Moore is such a fantastic chiropractor, and he is highly meticulous and careful when he adjusts your spine, neck, hip or whatever extremity needs adjusting. I had never been to a chiropractor before, so I had some honest misgivings about the legitimacy of the medical practice, but as I started experiencing immediate pain relief, I realized these misgivings were unwarranted. Even to this day, while perhaps my spine isn't "perfect" (no spine is), I am living pain-free. And...(drum roll, please).... I'm now running long distances again, without pain! Or, even if my spine still gets slightly misaligned somehow, I know I can go back to Dr. Moore. He always has a helpful solution. To this day, even nine months after the accident, I still get adjustments on a regular basis as a maintenance regimen; I highly recommend spinal adjustments for all individuals, regardless of age, as we constantly do strange maneuvers with our bodies which cause our necks, spines and hips to pop out of alignment. To put it bluntly, Dr. Moore "snaps you back in shape." If you want your health back intact, Dr. Moore and his staff have my highest recommendation for quality, chiropractic care. read more

I have been going to Dr. Moore off and on since I was a young girl. His knowledge is endless and his wisdom and compassion balance him to be a gentle and efficient chiropractor. Through the years I had tried other chiropractors for budget reasons, because his rates tend to be a little higher than others in the area. However, after multiple visits with others I was not getting results. When I returned to Dr. Moore, he took an in depth assessment and X-rays of my ailments, and provided me with answers that nobody else seemed to have. His care plan for me started showing results very quickly and has maintained its path to healing. I felt like I was being sold a used car! We are double insured so it was all covered by insurance but they insisted on putting me on a payment plan!! I went in for my initial consultation and had xrays from the previous chiropractor in Oregon. I waited 1h40mins and still didn't get adjusted. I have seen many chiropractors in many different places (I have travelled quite a bit) and have never been treated like this. They seem to pack tons of people in who are helped by assistants until the doctor can see you. Basically this means they are wasting your time so that the chiropractor can save a couple mins here and there and instead of getting advice from the chiropractor himself you get the assistants. read more

Yes they are expensive and want money up front before billing insurance . I did not stick around. They are probably paying alot off overhead with the fancy building, Dr. moore himself was a nice gentlemen but could not go along with the expensive payment plan and wanting constant treatment for a full year. I only need adjustments from time to time not constantly. The staff was a little stiff except for a couple men employees. Check around more there are plenty that will bill your insurance first and adjust you just as well without a large treatment contract.!!!! read more

I came here after I woke up to a stiff neck and was unable to move my head. After the initial treatment, Dr. Moore recommended I come in several times a week for a month and wanted to put me on a treatment program that would have lasted nearly a full year. His advice was laced with cautionary tales, vague lingo and, in hindsight was an effective scare tactic. 3 months into it, my back was now hurting to the point I was unable to sleep and couldn't exercise.(Previously my back had been fine!) Instead of re-evaluating or referring another treatment, I was told to "just don't look down" and that I would likely not be able to run again. (I'm an avid athlete and a student). At 24 years old, this was a ridiculous diagnosis and my only regret is that I did not seek other opinions sooner. Going here cost me an enormous amount of money and time that I will never get back. Just a few sessions of physical therapy and massage treated every problem I had. I do believe chiropractic care is beneficial to some, but a doctor should have enough integrity to tell a patient when to seek alternative modalities. read more

Nickel and dime you! I have practically the best medical insurance in town (teamsters) and they still wanted to charge me almost $100. Dr. Moore is an incredible... salesman. I went to see him because of some slight stiffness in my lower back. I was duped into coming in three times a week, for several weeks, and I feel like (just my opinion, and I'm no pro) all that messing with my spine made me vulnerable to an injury that occurred shortly after all those visits. I ended up worse then I started and wasted all the visits that my insurance covered on this guy. When my back is out it sends my asthma into over-drive. Chiropractic care is the only real answer because at that point the inhalers don't do a thing. My husband and I new to Redding wanted to find a new chiropractor so we went in to Moore Chiropractic for standard adjustments. The receptionist was a very "in your face" kinda gal. Which was weird and uncomfortable to me. We had our first exams and x-rays done. They basically told me (at 25 years old) that my spine was deteriorating with arthritis and I needed the maximum plan they offered, which was over $5000, and wouldn't take my insurance! My husband got the same spiel. They were so sales pitchy. Not to mention when we went to get a second opinion they would not release our records until we had to get our attorneys involved! We have been patients of Dr. Moore's for several years. Dr. Moore is a very highly skilled doctor of chiropractic medicine. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind and caring. As husband and wife, have both benefited from his adjustments and enjoyed tremendous relief in back, hip and neck pain. We routinely visit now for maintenance. Recently I (Rex) was suffering from trigger finger (thumb). I was not able to hold a coffee mug. It was challenging to grip and lift things. Gripping the steering wheel was challenging for a long period. My thumb would bend down and not release. I had pain and I did not have mobility in it. I considered going to an orthopedic surgeon as I assumed that was the only option. I mentioned it to Dr. Moore and he went to work adjusting the area. I am pleased to say now that my thumb now functions normal. I (Janel) have enjoyed relief in pain in my back, neck and shoulder and knee. I suffered a twisting injury to my knee, torn medial and lateral meniscus and ACL. I was using a walker due to the pain. An orthopedic surgeon recommended knee surgery. Dr. Moore and his staff are by far the best Chiropractic office in Redding. They are all very nice, remember your name and will even hold your baby so you can get 2 minutes to be adjusted. It feels more like family than just a normal doctors office. Now, I'll admit, I was always skeptical about chiropractics as a means of maintaining health. That has changed and here's why: My daughter is 3 1/2. Since she was born, she has always had a chronically drippy nose and, for the first year of her life, really bad ear infections. I made excuses for these symptoms: "she's teething," "it's allergies", "it's normal." Then when I started seeing Dr. Moore in January for my upper back issues, he mentioned that having some chiropractic adjustments for Claire could help her sinus issues. So I decided to give it a try. After the first couple of adjustments her nose was completely dried up! It was springtime, the HEIGHT of allergy season, and she had no runny nose! It is amazing. I had tried so many different allergy meds for her before, and nothing worked more than a couple hours at a time. Here it is, 6 months after her first adjustment and she is still free of her runny nose. I've even been getting my 1 year old adjusted and he has stopped his runny nose as well! It's truly wonderful and now I'm a believer. As for my back issue, it's a process to get a chronic misalignment fixed, but there has been progress. It was never really painful to begin with, just more uncomfortable than anything, and it will probably take some more time for it to heal up.
