Not a single doctor in this whole office, which is strange but whatever. I went here from an hour away because of their good reviews. I went 3/4 times. $70 each time I went just for the visit, plus more for anything I had done. They call him doctor Jordan even though it's nurse practitioner Jordan.. but he refused to refill my medication if I didn't go in again. $70 just to get a refill. I go to a different office now. I don't think he is evil, I just think he doesn't care about his patients. He just wants money and to send them away. read more

We called repeatedly in efforts to follow protocol but no one answered the phone. Once we were inside the receptionist was extremely rude when answering simple questions and shamed us in front of many other patients. I understand it is a hard time, especially for health care facilities, but no one should leave feeling as crappy as we did. read more

History

Established in 2013.

Simona L Moore CNP LLC opened its doors April 1st, 2013 in Mount Vernon, Oh. Over the past 6 years, the company has continually expanded, which required us to move to two locations to accommodate our patients. In 2018, we purchased our first convenience care clinic, The Walk in Clinic, which is located inside of Fosters Pharmacy in downtown Mount Vernon. In November of 2018, we moved to our currently location, and changed our name to Moore Family Practice LLC

Meet the Business Owner: Simona M.

Simona graduated from The Ohio State University with her Bachelors in Science of Nursing in 1990. Upon graduation she spent five years working as a registered nurse at The Ohio State Medical Center. From 1997-2000, Simona earned her Masters of Science in Nursing, and Adult Nurse Practitioner from The Ohio State University, and Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Otterbein College, now Otterbein University. Simona has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in the local community for nearly 20 years. Simona is a board member with the Winter Sanctuary, which serves the homeless in Knox County. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, tending to her garden, and quilting.

I just had double incisional hernia repaired Friday at KCH. I had cancer removed at another…read morehospital in 2014. They did nothing wrong that's just how my skin is. I came to Dr holzer who specializes in surgery and she said yes I can repair it. The entire ambulatory surgical team was amazing They even call you afterwards to make sure you are okay. Jane was my anesthesiologist She made me feel at ease pleasant bedside manner goes over everything with you I felt safe in her hands. Jauhni walked me back into the surgery waiting room and was fun to talk to. I'm sorry I don't remember the rest of the nurse's name that helped me before and after my surgery. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly and patient. I want to add they have a new neurologist my husband seen for the first time last week We are very pleased with him trying to figure out my husband's tinnitus! Dr Trevor Moravec. We have our PCP here, My son's PCP is here, I have had surgery by Dr helming in orthopedics, My husband sees Dr Goodman for his endocrinology Larry is awesome in that office as is Dr Anderson for my son. And then in ophthalmology is another doctor Holzer (the husband to the surgeon I just had on Friday) for all of our eye health. Their therapy rehab center is amazing too Dr Amy murnen, Dr Thurman are excellent providers. Dr Hetrick sees my entire family for our ENT needs. He's the one that noticed I had a stroke sometime in my past it showed up on one of my CT scans of my sinuses. I had no clue I had no lasting effects.

I have had bad experiences with hair cuts in the past so I'm anxious just walking in so that may be…read morecoloring my thoughts. I went for a normal haircut+wash+style for $51. This is a lot more than I've ever paid for a hair cut, but I liked the convenience of booking online and didn't want to call around for availability. So my hair got washed, dried out, then straightened, and finally cut. I asked for a straight cut along the back and layers. It's been a long time, maybe four years or so since my last hair cut because I had bad experiences when I went with my mom out to the salon so I know I have plenty of split ends. I wanted layers to help get rid of some of the extra split ends and I felt layers would help justify the extra cost. She didn't ask how long it's been since my last hair cut, but asked about if I went to bed with wet hair and if I had well water. I do sometimes go to bed with wet hair but I use tons of conditioner. We have filters on our well water. It was weird since the length of time since my last hair cut would be the biggest factor in split ends, especially since I used to have layers kind of high up. She declined to put in layers as she felt my hair needed to recover more and get more density. The salon is pretty open airy and seemed well kept. I also didn't like that they asked if I wanted to tip out loud at the end. I've never even been asked if I wanted to tip after a hair cut, especially an expensive one. I did tip a bit since I felt put on the spot. My stylist was very friendly and surprisingly fast. I was in and out of the hair salon in under 30 minutes. The stylists were all very chatty and it seemed like they enjoyed their work. They are very inquisitive. I appreciate that the areas seemed cleaned well and felt hygienic. My haircut came out decent and was badly needed since my hair was really long. I agreed to get more cut off than I wanted to as I'm hoping she's right and that it'll be healthier for my hair. Overall it was an okay experience. Since it was much better than my previous experiences I'll try to get a hair cut sooner than this time.
