The work was done sooner than promised and the cost was less than half of what the dealership quoted me. They also warrantied their work 3 year/36,000 miles. Had my transmission rebuilt and had to take out a loan(I'm poor) 6 months later having problems with the first gear staying engaged until I release the gas and then it shifts would not warranty it and said there was water in the transmission. Only two ways to get water in leak on the radiator lines which did not happen or go through water which would have to be 3 feet. Water would have came through the doors never happen. They said I need a new transmission and would not honor the warranty. I will never go to this rip off place again read more

After taking my 99 F350 diesel to two other shops to have the transmission rebuilt in the last 10 years I finally discovered Moore Transmission. It appears at least the last rebuilder used gasoline engine type parts rather than the parts needed for the higher torque diesels produce. This caused the second rebuild to prematurely fail although it did get passed the 12k warranty. Moore rebuilt the transmission with heavy duty parts plus gave me a much longer warranty. If you are having a transmission for a diesel truck rebuilt, especially if you consistently pull heavy loads, pay the extra to get quality parts installed and take it to Moore. read more

I just had my clutch replaced here and they resurfaced my fly wheel. Very easy process, after looking at it they called me with a diagnosis before doing any work. The difference between old and new was so dramatic I called to see if there were any adjustments that were available. it was just the difference between old and new. I did come back the next day after I picked it up because I thought something might've come loose. The mechanic found out it wasn't loose but he did notice that I have a brake light out. I took my truck in for an issue that had been ongoing, OD light was blinking and shifting hard. I had already had it serviced for the same issue at another establishment. I dropped off the truck and Ronnie told me that to leave it with him while ran a complete diagnostic to isolate the issue. He couldn't find the issue the day I dropped off the truck so he kept it and found it the next day. He repaired the issue but asked to keep the truck one day extra just to make sure that there would not be any issues going forward. It wasn't a problem as I have an everyday vehicle and I wanted to make sure the truck was in good working condition. The following day I received a call from Ronnie that my truck was ready for pick up. I haven't had an issue since the repair. This attention to detail and commitment to customer service is hard to come by but Ronnie definitely puts his best foot forward. Anybody looking for honest quality service should definitely take your vehicle to Moore. read more

I had good hopes for this shop due to the reviews and the price quoted to replace a sensor on my car ($100). They did a good job at replacing the sensor because my initial issue was fixed. The problem was that after we had a misunderstanding on the phone (which I apologized for and was never acknowledged for the apology) his attitude towards me was extremely rude. When I first picked it up I thought we were okay, I even complemented them doing the job since it was a PITA to do and I knew it. But after I got the car back it had three new mysterious problems that had not existed beforehand. The first one I was told about: a misfire when first started. I thought the mechanic meant my starter flutter when cold, but no. My car had an actual, real, noticeable misfire when previously it idled quite smoothly after sitting for a solid week not started, let alone the day it was at their shop. The radio was also reset, but I thought nothing of that. Someone disconnected the battery, as required to do the sensor properly. I asked about the misfire, and was told by Ronnie (not the other guy) that they didn't do any sort of motor work, didn't even so much as disconnect my battery, and had nothing to do with it. Pretty cruddy about it really, it was a legit complaint. But I let it go, and drove off, knowing I can deal with a misfire on my own as I have done before. Could be coincidence. But wait, what's this noise I hear? My Taurus doesn't have a turbo attached does it? Well, what on Earth is this whining noise I hear that wasn't there before that kind of sounds like bearings rubbing? Back to the shop I went. Asked about it. The mechanic looked at it with me and mentioned that perhaps the PS reservoir had a filter and it got clogged, starving it of steering fluid. Possibly... but I felt flow through the hose when I squeezed on it. Again I was skeptical and had asked what they had done, and was again told that all they did was remove a motor mount and drop the side so they could change the sensor, did no motor work, blah blah. Again I drove off. Angry, cause at this point I assume I need a new $150 pump (which I will install MYSELF TYVM and not have anything else break in the process I may add). But I am pleased with the test drive overall because the shifting shudder I experienced before was gone. So they did fix the issue, and I even told them they did well on that. But then I get in League City and park at Academy, intending to go outside and shop, but my driver window won't roll up all of a sudden. First time I had actually touched it to go up since I had left the shop. I look up and it appears that it might rain. So I call the shop and report that, and Ronnie immediately jumps down my throat, calls me names, cusses me out, tells me he'd wished he had never worked on it, etc, etc, and then rudely hung up on me. No attempt to resolve the issue at all. I went home and managed to get the window working after fixing the + battery connector they left hanging half off to strand me on a highway, wiggling some relays, and banging on the area of the door where the actuator is inside. So it was just stuck on its own. But I still decided to stop by the shop personally and set the record straight because I did not appreciate Ronnie's attitude, and wanted some sort of resolution. When I pulled in, I did so a bit quicker than intended and squealed my left front driver tire just a bit. I also braked kind hard and it locked up a tad. Didn't intend to do either stunt, but the car did feel differently than before (even the ABS worked better, that's pretty nice, no complaints there) and I was getting used to it again. And yeah, perhaps I was a bit upset at being called a liar and a POS and all this over the phone. Yeah, that got nowhere fast. At first it was okay, I wanted him to understand how it looked to a customer and put himself in my shoes. Could be a coincidence, but it's weird ones for sure. He again took it as an accusation, and I endure his egotastic filthy mouth again. That's fine. I can dish it out too, and I did. Except he went to be violent and I darn near had to pull out my CCW. Stupidly, he thought I was bluffing and told me "not to act like I had a gun", then told the long-haired mechanic to GO INSIDE AND GET HIS GUN cause he was gonna shoot me. I informed him real quick that my gun is very much real and that I didn't want to go and get violent, but that he needed to tone down and not threaten me cause I had legitimate complaints. He kicked off the property, told me to never come back, and I did so. Straight to the police station to make a report of him threatening me with violence. Don't go to this shop! Take your car to Snider or DeLeon. Ronnie is violent and aggressive and just wants to be a hothead. read more
