I'm not 100% sure on what would be charged for this particular issued I looked it up online and this fell within that range... towards the higher end of the range but within the range nonetheless. BONUS, I checked in on Yelp and there was a 10% off labor coupon. That saved us about $40! Like I said, no one LOVES having to service a vehicle but when we have to, we'll be returning Simba Automotive!

Brought my recently purchased Lexus gx460 with 220K miles in to A+ on May 15 because of a "clunk"…read morethat could be heard inside and outside the car as well as actually feeling it. Was told that I would have to pay $800+ just to leave it with them but as long as they fixed the clunk for that amount I would be happy. When they called me the next day they gave me a pitch about the cost of Lexus parts and that there were codes indicating that the transmission and rear differential needed "servicing". They then told me the cost would be $8700 and I was shocked and asked if I could come pick up the car and they said they would have to put it all back together. I then asked if this would fix the "clunk" and he said he would guarantee it. On May 23 I paid the invoice and as soon as we drove it off, the "clunk" was still there....I returned the car on May 26 and now it is June 1st and the car is still at the shop still broken. So what they worked on did not fix the problem, should I have to pay for it? Do repair shop have carte blanche to say anything with a code needs overhauling?

Brought my car in after getting an inspection from FS... They fixed my oil leak and oil smell, but…read moreunfortunately, when working on the front suspension, I ended up leaving with a new sound coming from my car. They told me one thing was wrong with it, but told my father another thing was wrong with it. So, I brought the car back for them to check and work on this new sound that started after they initially worked on my car, for the sound to still be present after spending another $2,000. They assured me the $2,000 would fix the new sound. So the last $2,000 I paid was a complete waste because I ended up having to get another car. I tried to speak with the manager/owner about this matter, but they ignored me. I requested a refund, whole or partially, and they completely ignored me. This felt like a situation of guess and fix. They blamed it on a faulty part. I wanted to trust these people, but when it came down to it, I paid them $5,000 to fix my car, which I ended up having to get rid of for safety reasons. I am still waiting on a reply to these messages, a month later.

I have a 2010 Ford F150 XL Super-crew cab and I bought my ford about 5-6 years ago. About a year…read moreafter driving great, my truck started developing a "shudder", it would vibrate the front end at various speeds and the only way to stop it was to speed up out of it or come up off the gas completely. I started searching F150 forums for solutions and they would all say that it could be the transmission, drive shaft or some computer chip. Everyone was also pissed that Ford did not issue a recall because an unbelievable amount of Ford owners had the same D@#! problem! Instead of going to the dealer after reading horror stories I just drove it as it was until it became a little worse and a nuisance. Finally, I remembered that I had my 2001 Chevy 1500 Silverado repaired by Snider and it is still running great so I called them up and Tommy (very nice and knows his stuff) told me exactly what the problem is and what he needed to do to it before I even went in and he fixed my Truck. (pause..while I do a happy dance again..) okay, now I can finish my review. Snider Transmission, (I went to the Pearland location) is the bomb!! The poor rating applies to their rebuilding of my F350 diesel 4R100 transmission. This review…read moredoes not apply to their gasoline engine rebuilds of which I have no experience. The rebuild only lasted 30k miles. Luckily when the input shaft stripped out I was close to my shop. I had the transmission rebuilt this time by Moore Transmission in Alvin. What Snyder did when they rebuilt my transmission a couple years ago was put gasoline engine type parts in the transmission rather than diesel engine type parts back in the transmission which caused it to fail catastrophically when it went out. I don't know if Snyder uses lower spec parts because they know that they will at least last the 12k warranty or if they just don't know what they are doing. I dropped the truck off at the Pearland location which pulled the transmission and sent it to another Snyder shop to rebuild it. It may just be since the rebuilder didn't see the F350, mine which weighs over 11k lbs all the time with a service body on it, he didn't realize the need to use heavier spec parts. As you can see from the attached photos of the parts removed especially the planetary gear which only has 3 planet gears rather than the 4 needed for the extra torque the diesel produces this rebuild was doomed to fail from the time it was rebuilt by Snyder.
