This place is a disaster, save the energy and money or spend more elsewhere and don't go. I had suit jackets rentals only for a wedding and they told me 3 different stories from 3 different people and all 3 thought they knew what was up. Some said make an appointment others said please don't make an appointment, they said to come in mid August then I'm told people should have been there in July. I was also told we couldn't make appointments till August, I haven't even gotten married yet and I have little faith in this place. And it's not like it was free either. read more

The last bunch of times I have had to get suited up or a sports coat she has been there to make me Look damn good! Trisha has a really good eye for matching colors and pairing up exactly what you are looking for when you ask for something. When other staff have helped me out they have been a beauty for help as well. All and all I honestly don't shop any where else for suits and more. Have not needed to. I'm still sitting here waiting for my son to finish primping as he tries on what will be his grad suit. Yes it's early. I came to get a blazer for him for another event and realized with the great sale it would be cheaper to buy the whole suit. We walked in and almost immediately we were greeted by Elaina. She quickly showed us some great suits for my son and realized what would look good on him! I was impressed right off the bat. I have to say I was worried - we needed something ready to go for the next day and they were able to get him fitted, the pants hemmed, the shirt steamed, and him feeling amazing. What more can you ask for? Oh? How about a tie tying lesson? Yes, Elaina did that too! And the price pint was great. A full suit (with vest), hemmed, 2 shirts, tie and a belt all for just over $550. Love the staff and store here on the South side. Always great service and they actually pay attention and will remember you. The sales people are on commission so try to be courteous and mention who your favorite sales person is and whom you normally use so they get the sale even if they are not there that particular time you visit. Went and purchased pants, a shirt and a sport jacket. Went home and tried it on, came back to return it and the refused because it was worn. Please tell how can anyone possibly return anything??! After our jaunt in Europe, my hubby was feeling a little bit down. I packed my usual stock of pretty dresses and metallic sandals. He brought his typical attire - khaki shorts, t-shirts he got for free at local events, Birkenstocks, and a bright red backpack. I still thought he looked cute, but he didn't exactly look European. When we got home, he decided it was time to go suit shopping. Something trendy and probably grey, plus a swanky sport coat. Oh, those Europeans. They sure know how to inspire a kid with little to no fashion sense. Moore's is exactly what he needed. These aren't $5000 suits - they're $500 suits, but they're nice $500 suits, I think. When we went in (a couple of weeks ago), they were having a buy-one-get-one-free sale. On freaking everything in the store. Amaz. He went with two gray but quite different full suits. Total? $500 plus tax. They also did his alterations (no rush, we said, so they were done in about 6 days) for a fairly low cost. I was very impressed with the staff, both when we shopped for the suits and when we went back in to try on the garments post-alterations. Attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. Moore's also carries shirts, sweaters, hats, jeans and shoes if you're looking for more casual wear or for accessories. Huge store, tons to choose from. We would, without a doubt, go back! read more

Third time I've tried to go here to get a suit. Let's be clear: if I wanted something nice, I'd go somewhere other than Moore's. This is where you go for work clothes. It's Workwear World for salesmen and middle management. So to say I want a cheap, disposable, all-black suit, and have them prefer to chase me out of the store with suggestions in the $900 range with pinstripes because they're more stylish, this is not a store that knows what it's doing. Come here for sales, if you can actually find them. On that topic, and as a larger to similar businesses: if you're advertising a $200 suit on sale, HAVE THEM. Being lured in by a sale, only to be told, "We don't have any of the sale items, here's something five times its price", that does us no good at all. I have a LOT of dress clothes. This is not where I get them. The quality you'll find at Moore's is on the low side of average, but it'll do, that's not why I don't buy here. I don't buy here because they don't let me. read more

Word of advice for bridal parties: moores is terrible. Go to Derks instead. You would think a store who prides themselves in suites that make you look good would have better service and quality when it comes to wedding party rentals, but you would be gravely wrong. From hemming the arms of the jacket unevenly to giving out mismatched shoes, to forgetting to include pieces of the tux in the garment bag, moored has never failed to disappoint. My husband is quite tall (well over 6ft) and his pants were hemmed so poorly that you could see a seam 4" up the pant leg where they just folded the pants and sewn through all the layers. Another groomsmen had his suit jacket arms hemmed unevenly, and wen they went to fix it, they re hemmed the already short arm resulting in an extremely uneven look. To finish off our terrible experience, the shirts fit terribly. They were way too large and they said there was nothing they could do since it's a rental. Take a look at Derks, I've seen plenty of rentals there and there shirts have always fit my husband. read more

I truly don't know how I would acquire the sheer volume of menswear that I have without the fine people of Moore's and their "buy one, get one free" sales. They go on every month or two and are fantastic. The only reason for my low review is that I'm not a fan of most of the staff. Being a younger guy (no matter how well dressed) I'm usually stereotyped as not being able to spend the money that a commissioned salesperson wants. Fortunately I found Ronnie, a young guy like myself who is one of the most personable sales people I've had and is fantastic at recognizing my style and making recommendations without being pushy. He remembers when I get a promotion, knows where I work and knows every dress shirt and most of my ties in my closet.... not even I know that! I'd recommend going to Moore's if you can put up with a pushy (or absent) salesperson, or if you are willing to call and make sure Ronnie is available. He has turned a possibly one star review to something significantly more positive! read more

Ok, so this is the first review I have ever written about a place I have shopped before but I just wanted to point out that I have been to this store several times in the last little while. I have started a new career recently that requires wearing suits and I have never had as good of service as I had with Alyssa here. She was very accommodating with what I was looking for and very respectful of my time as I was usually in a rush when I came in. She helped me with my first custom made suit (which I have never considered buying before) but am absolutely in love with. It was exactly what I was looking for as there was nothing in my size on the rack. She also helped keep it in my price range. I have worked in retail as management for a long time before switching to my new career and i know the difference between good and great service and Alyssa was great. read more

Absolutely terrible Came in with a group for bridal fittings. Although we made an appointment for 11am we weren't seen until almost noon, and only after the bride began to express her discontent. After we were finally greeted it was with contemptuous attitude. We were slowly and tediously measured one by one. It was slow to say the least, but we were also informed that there was absolutely nothing to try on. We were expected to get measured and order; hoping for the best. Needless to say we were not impressed. We headed to another store to compare and were treated much much better. When we phoned Moores to tell them we wouldn't be returning the exact response was "sure, fine" when we asked them if they needed our name their reply was "No, we remember who you are" with epic sass. Needless to say, we won't be returning, ever, and we would never recommend this location to anybody. read more

TERRIBLE service Walked in for a quick vest sizing and was told we had to wait because someone was "praying" in the rental room. Waited for 40 mins in total and of course who walks out? This location used to be Rockstar for service and rentals. That has changed drastically! I came in recently for a rental for a buddy's wedding - they lost my measurements and didn't place the order. Popped in to get a tie to match a shirt and suit I'm planning to wear for a wedding in a couple weeks. When I walked in a gentleman that worked there asked me if I needed help. I said yes and that I was looking for a tie. When I tried to tell him the colour of the shirt and suit I was trying to match he rather rudely responded with "ties are over there" and just pointed in their direction. I know a tie isn't a large sale item for them relatively speaking but I just recently got engaged myself and am planning on having a sizeable wedding party with 4-5 groomsmen. This brief experience has really turned me off from going back here. read more

Large selection but quality isn't very high. Most of their jackets are fused instead of canvassed. At least the fabrics aren't bad...definitely much better to go with a fused jacket that's 100% wool than any jacket made with more than 20% polyester. The regular price is asking a lot for a cheaply constructed jacket, but that's probably why they always have some sort of attractive looking sale no matter when you go. If you buy on sale and it fits well enough after minor alterations, I'd say that you're probably getting average value for your money at this level of quality. A couple friends and I got fitted for tuxedo rentals here and it ended up being a bad experience. We went a few months in advance to get fitted. The salesperson who helped us took a few measurements and had us try on a jacket, pair of trousers, and shirt each. However, none of the things we tried on were the same brand/style of what we were ordering, so we weren't really confident that we were being properly fitted. She then told us that about two weeks before the wedding we would get a call to come in for a final fitting to make sure there was enough time to change sizes if necessary. About two weeks before the wedding, the groom got a phone call from Moores. We went back to the store, but when we got there they had no idea why we had been called and couldn't even find the record of our order in their system until I found the receipt and reservation number in my wallet. We got an email a week later, less than a week before the wedding, telling us that our tuxedos were in now. The trousers all fit fine. The other groomsman's jacket was too tight in the waist so he had to change to their regular fit. He isn't a big guy...a slim fit should fit him just fine. The shirts were all "fitted" but actually were all a terrible fit. My shirt was one size too big in the collar but fit the shoulders and torso pretty well. Sleeve length was good too, but armholes are a cut a little large. The other groomsman's collar was one size too small. The armholes were way too big and cut too low, plus the shoulders were a bit wide so overall he looked like he had bat-wings. The groom's shirt was definitely the worst. They got the collar size right, but the sleeves were too long by 1 to 2 inches, shoulders too wide by 2 inches, overall length was too long, there was extra fabric around the torso, and he also had the same problem the large, low armholes. His shirt looked like a sail. I ended up sticking with my shirt because they couldn't keep the sleeve length and go down a collar size. The groom and other groomsman ended up taking their shirts off their orders and had to go buy new shirts elsewhere (which by the way were near perfect fits right off the shelf). The vests fit rather poorly and you can't do much about it because they're only available in 3 sizes. They're cut generously in the waist to accommodate fat people. Sure, they're adjustable with a strap or belt in the back, but that can only do so much. If you cinch it up too far, the vest gets really wrinkled and looks bad. The vests were an "acceptable" fit on the groom and other groomsman. Neither was a great fit, but far better than mine. My chest is just a bit too large for their "small", so I had to go with a medium vest. As a result, it's almost 2 inches too big in the chest, and 6 inches too big in the waist!. Cinching it up 6 inches makes it look almost as bad as leaving it the way it is. The stupid thing is shaped like a pear or bell...very unflattering; it managed to make me go from looking fit to looking obese. I kept the vest because they couldn't do anything about it anyway and finding a waistcoat to buy from a store is much more of a challenge than a shirt. I ended up spending about two hours carefully safety pinning the sides of the vest to bring in all the extra fabric so that I can still look good for the wedding. Finally, none of us saw what their ties would be until we went to pick up our rentals. We were shocked to discover that we get some lousy clip-on ties instead of proper ties. read more

I had multiple terrible experiences here. The sales guy who "helped" me was so pushy, rude, and clearly only cared about making money off of me. His name was Manoj, avoid this shark of a salesman at all costs!! I came here to shop for my wedding suit and I don't have a lot of money so I was hoping to find a deal, I had about $400 to spend in total, but as soon as I said I was looking for something more affordable his demeanour completely changed and he was very rude! He kept trying to get me to purchase the $700 Joseph Aboud suit, which was really nice, but way out of my price range. He made me feel awful and I will make sure to never return to this location, ESPECIALLY not get help from MANOJ!! read more
