This review is a year in the making. I first came to Novelle back in August 2012 to start my search for a wedding dress for my September 2013 wedding. I was relatively new to Edmonton so I had to do some research on reputable bridal stores. I visited a couple of bridal stores and was either not impressed with their service or their selection of dresses didn't suit my taste. I didn't find my dress at Novelle until my second or third visit but after I couldn't stop thinking about it I realized it was the one. I worked primarily with Diana throughout my experience at Novelle and she was nothing but lovely. She was warm, kind and patient, and did a wonderful job with narrowing down dresses and offering helpful opinions on flattering styles. Novelle may not have the biggest dress inventory compared to other stores in Edmonton, but the quality and selection of styles are absolutely beautiful and you can tell careful thought was put into each one that was purchased for the store. They carry brands including Watters Wtoo (my dress designer), San Patrick, Theia, Allure, Paloma Blanca, Nicole Miller, and Tara Keely. I was also initially drawn to visiting Novelle during my initial search for a dress because they were the only bridal retailer (that I was aware of at the time) that carried Ivy and Aster. I ordered my dress in January and it arrived before the end of May, a few weeks before the estimated arrival. Bonus! I also ended up doing my alterations with them with their in-house seamstress Melody. Doing your dress alterations with Novelle is completely optional, but as I didn't have to get too much done to my dress it was more convenient for me to stick with them. Their prices were comparable to other seamstresses I received quotes from, but I would still recommend getting quotes from outside sources to compare prices. My dress was primarily lace and I was anxious about alterations, but Melody did a fantastic job. Between picking up my dress and getting my first round of alterations done, Novelle moved up the street to a bigger location. The store is beautiful! I almost wish I had my dress shopping experience there. Their new space is a definite upgrade in terms of room for more inventory, fitting rooms, and natural lighting. They also have a beautiful veil and jewellery collection, as well as many chic bridesmaid dresses to choose from. My entire experience with Novelle was wonderful and I couldn't be more happy with them. read more

It's worth saying that you need an appt at LEAST a month in advance to shop there. Parking is free if you register your license plate at the iPad located near entrance (instructions noted on wall). Parking is available at back, side building (angle) or street parking in front of shop. There is a waiting area at the front & a basket of pink slippers are at the front to change into if you don't feel comfortable walking around in socks. For some reason, we felt a chill inside, especially in the gown selection area and the floor was chilly too. Selection is smaller compared to larger companies, but can still feel overwhelming. Gowns are sorted by designers, wedding dresses run at a starting price of just under $2000. Each appt has private sitting room with sofa & stage stand/ dressing curtain for bride with full length wall mirror. It's a little bit dim, but brides are welcome to the centre of the store to showcase their potential dress where it's brighter. Beautiful displays of accessories here as well. Staff are knowledgeable on designers and styles, fabrics, complementary colours, etc. One staff is assigned to each appointment, appears polished, friendly & attentive to needs and are able to make helpful suggestions as well. There isn't any immediate pressure to buy and they also note what services are available through them such as hemming or fitting. This place only cares about your wallet. Their customer service is awful. Dress that was ordered came different than the sample. Their seamstress has communication issues. Then failed to do what was instructed and left us feeling unsure and horrible. Finally had to go to different seamstress but this one had pricked a finger and bled on the dress and left a hole in the armpit. Does not put heart and sole into anything unless it's separating you from your money. Place said they would let us use the sample if the main dress did not work out but went back on that offer and we were stuck finding another person to do alterations. Shameful, low integrity, and absolutely horrible shop. Stay away!! read more

Free parking in rear Many gowns to try First impressions are key. I'm pleased there are guest "slippers" even though I don't know if they are sanitized after every use; like bowling shoes. Who ensures the worn ones go into the empty receptacle? Many guests went barefoot. Mercifully, I brought socks with me Blackened areas, at the top of the pale pink curtains, is understandable, from all the hands. However, cleaning the drapes is recommended. (Hotels use wands to cut down on handling the fabric) The same grimy stains on the bodice of a strapless gown really put me off too! With the dresses costing thousands of dollars, surely there's enough money in the budget to keep everything clean? I'm sorry, but I hope my daughter doesn't buy her wedding dress here! If these deficits were out in the wide open who knows what is going on behind the scenes? read more

Lovely bridal shop. Diana is wonderful, and set a great tone for the whole appointment. I liked her so much I requested her to also be the consultant during my bridesmaid's appointment. The shop is lovely and spacious and they have a huge selection of dresses. Unfortunately, the dress I found is not sold at Novelle, but they are charming place nonetheless. Although I did not ultimately buy my dress here, I have to review the fantastic experiences I had here with Angel, in her shop Novelle Bridal. First of all, Novelle was everything I was looking for in a bridal dress experience...something I have yet to find elsewhere in Edmonton. It is a smaller shop with a finely curated selection of gowns, a bright airy naturally lit interior and a well-attuned, helpful salesperson. Long before I had ever imagined wearing a bridal gown, I loved the dresses she chose to highlight in the display window of her store, which is very near to High Street. (Run over to check out stationery at Notables while you're nearby!) Angel told me she picks every dress herself to bring into the store, and it shows as she knows her stock inside and out. I went in asking for a dress with matte material in an odd fabric or something with an asymmetrical design, and she gave me choices that offered both! The dresses kind of echo the store: beautiful, unusual simplicity with attention to detail. There is a selection of different dresses here from designers like Nicole Miller, San Patrick and Watter Wtoo, in a wide range of prices. She also has a selection of off the rack sale dresses for those on a budget, Sara Gabriel headpieces and veils and gorgeous shrugs and boleros. It's a classy store with unusual dresses I was unable to find in other Edmonton boutiques (even Pure Bridal on 104 Street which touts a designer collection) I would have gladly supported Angel and Novelle, but ended up ultimately buying my dress out of the country. I have decided to go with a Nicole Miller dress from Novelle for my November destination wedding:) There is nothing else like it, it feels wonderful light and stretchy!!!!!! No one else in the city sells Nicole Miller!! This bridal shop was my first choice as I use to live in the area, I did go to another bridal store but I knew I had found it when I left there. I worked with Chelsea, she was wonderful and I absolutely adored her. I love that they are smaller, it does not seem overwhelming, I can't wait to wear my dress!!!! This happen to be where I had my first bridal appointment. I was coming in not knowing anything about anything bridal. Julia spent the first 25 min going over the basics, the shapes, the cuts, the fabrics, etc. She did such a great job honing in on my like//wants/needs, and expanding my mind on what I thought I wanted versus what was ideal for me and looked great on me. I had to come back for another appointment since we spent more time learning my shapes and materials the first time. Novelle had lots of beautiful options, but Julia was so kind to talk me through and realize that I had found my dress with a designer they didn't have in store. I really wanted to buy something from this store, but their customer service was so above and beyond, it doesn't compare to anywhere else I went to. I made an appointment here after a full day of dress shopping with my bridal party and mom. I felt like I needed a few more options after having some time to reflect, so I made an appointment at Novelle. I wasn`t in a great mood that day (I had a killer migraine), but I tried to keep myself upbeat. I was early for my appointment, but the girls were very accommodating, and got me started ahead of schedule. My consultant put all of my information in to the computer and we started picking out dresses. She kept track of everything on an iPad so it would be easy to reference at a later time. She even asked if I had any pictured of other things I had tried on and liked so she would have a really good idea of things I had liked. I thought this was great. She didn`t have a specific dress I wanted to try, but she suggested something really close that she did have. She made sure I was okay with anything she pulled that was slightly out of my price range, and made some great suggestions for accessories. While we were waiting for my mom to arrive, we chatted about the wedding in general. The shop is small and intimate, very well lit and immaculately kept. hey even have little slippers you can wear in the store if you don`t feel like walking around bare foot. Appointments are only supposed to be an hour long, but I never felt rushed or hurried in any way, which was great. While I don`t think I`ll end up getting my gown here, it was a great experience, and I would recommend them to anyone. I would make one suggestion: get rid of the plug in air scent in the change room. It noticeably worsened my migraine while I was there, and things like that can be a huge bane to people with scent sensitivies. Other than that, fabulous job. I brought 4 girls with me and Vivian made us feel right at home :) she was helpful without being pushy, and exuded nothing but class!! I found my beautiful dress at the beautiful Novelle Bridal Shop and I couldn't be happier with my experience! I dealt with multiple consultants over my numerous visits but they were all wonderful! At my first bridal consult the consultant was kind, patient and understanding. I tried a couple dresses on multiple times with different linings and she did make me feel like burden at all, even when it got close to closing! My dress even came in earlier then estimated!! I also purchased the bridesmaid dresses from Novelle. Had another wonderful consultant who was equally as patient as all my bridesmaids wanted to try on all the dresses haha! I would HIGHLY recommend Novelle to every bride! You get the high end service of a beautiful shop with prices comparable to budget bridal stores (I checked, just to be safe, a budget bridal shop had the same dress for $2 cheaper then Novelle, and at least with Novelle your getting professional assistance, not "put a clip on hangers of dresses you like" ... um okay....). Novelle's professional atmosphere, warm hearted consultants, and gorgeous shop have earned them 5 stars in my books!! read more

I heard great things about this little shop from so many people and yelp so I thought I would give it a try. Before I booked my appointment I decided to go in and take a look around, see what all they sell, styles, designers etc and at first I wasn't too impressed. Everything was poofy, and frilly with lots of ruffles or lots and lots of straight lace not to mention overly pricey. Which if that's your style great but I was looking for something a little more drop waist, satin like. I booked an appointment anyways because I figured if I don't find THE dress here at least I might be able to find the style perfect for me. My appointment was for 12:30pm on a Saturday, I brought four people with me, and walked in with no hopes of finding my dress. We had our own little room with a couch and chairs, and a HUGE mirror in the actual fitting room. My consultant was Megan who was FANTASTIC. There was nothing I didn't like about her, she was helpful, chatty, funny, and unbelievably knowledgeable on every dress I tried on. She found so many dresses that I actually liked that were in my budget (She never went over unless she asked first) and helped me find a dress that might actually be the one. The dress I found was almost perfect, one of the only reasons why I didn't buy it was because this is the first place I've shopped at everyone I brought said I didn't have that sparkle in my eyes lol. My biggest worry about dress shopping was that I was going to be guilt tripped. You know, you've tried on 10 dresses which one are you getting. Silly I know but I can imagine what it would be like helping someone try on 10 dresses and they don't buy one. Megan though was awesome, she's actually the one that told me to shop around, enjoy other shops and dresses and if nothing else compares to the dress I tried on then it'll still there. She even wrote down the name of the dress, the designer, price etc. The only reason I am not giving this store five stars is because out of 10 dresses that were pulled for me only half of them fit, and I'm not a big girl, pretty average actually. Alot of their sizes were smaller than 6, which I was expecting size 14s that way you can just be clipped into anything. Aside from that everything else was great. My next stop will be Bridal Debut in Sherwood Park as I hear they are really great too. If I don't find anything there and I can't get my mind off the one at Novelle I will definitely be returning. read more

I liked my experience here, but it wasn't quite the dream experience I've had elsewhere. When we came in for our scheduled appointment we had to wait a short time, not a big deal. But we were told to sit and wait- in a room full of bridal gowns! Who wants to sit on a couch and stare from afar? When our consultant came out she was really nice. She didn't make us feel limited in our choices and was great at subtly keeping us within budget. We had a great little private room with a mirror and pedestal. Because the walls don't go to the roof the sound really carried- the other group in the salon was much larger and louder than just my mom and I so it became kind of distracting. It was also weird that you were responsible for hanging up all the cast off dresses- this was handled by staff at other stores. It seems simple, but the dresses can be large and heavy and it's very fussy to have to deal with. I'm also sure I hung every single one of them up wrong. I got to try quite a few dresses and she really paid attention to the comments we were making. In the end, she even showed us some other dresses online that I should look for that she thought I'd like. Overall my experience here was good. I didn't find "the one" but I could see how someone else could easily! read more

Absolutely WONDERFUL. BEAUTIFUL gowns, OUTSTANDING staff, warm, fun, elegant atmosphere. This is an upscale bridal store and as such, the pieces they carry are on the expensive end of the spectrum. As far as wedding gowns go. You will not find a cheap dress in this store. That said, if money isn't an issue for you, don't go to any other stores. This is the best one in Edmonton. I drove down from Fort McMurray super anxious as I had already bought a wedding dress months ago and really did not like it and with only 20 weeks till my wedding I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a new one in time, I came to Novelle because I really wanted a certain designer.Unfortunalty all my family and friends are back east so I was there alone with my mom and best friend on FaceTime on a tri pod. I had the best time shopping they made me feel very comfortable I didn't feel rushed at all, I found a dress that I absolutely loved but I knew I had to buy off the rack with my wedding so close and I knew that this dress was one of the newer designs so I didn't think I would be able to get it but before I even got to my appointment they had already asked the manager if I was able to buy it and she said I could! I am in love with it!! I highly recommend Novelle not only was the experience amazing but the store is beautiful with a great layout and gorgeous dresses! read more

I bought my wedding dress here in 2016. I loved the selection they had, and the fact that they let my mom and sisters walk through the store with me and choose dresses (other stores I went to wouldn't allow this). This was really special for me because my mom and sisters ended up picking the dress I chose. Our appointment started exactly on time, and my consultant was patient and friendly, and let me try on a ton of dresses. They even squeezed us in for a follow-up appointment a couple of days later so I could re-try some and that's when I made my decision. I loved having our own private dressing room with a couch, and also having the showroom all to ourselves... that may have been good luck, or they may time their appointments so that only one appointment is browsing at a time... regardless, I appreciated this. The only reason I am not giving Novelle 5 stars is because of how the belt on my dress arrived from the designer. The beads were sewn on very poorly, some were falling off, some were crooked, one was chipped, and it looked extremely cheap and messy compared to the beautiful display dress I had tried on. This is something I feel like they should have noticed when it arrived and they checked it over. They did pay for it to be fixed, however, what I didn't like was how the consultant handled it. She tried to downplay it and convince me that the beading looked wrong because the belt wasn't tacked to the dress properly, and I had to push for her to admit that it was the actual beading of the belt that was done poorly and needed to be fixed. Considering what I paid for my dress, it should have shown up looking perfect, and it caused quite a bit of stress, as I live in another city and the tailor had to rush to fix the belt in time. Overall though, a minor hiccup in the entire process, and I would recommend Novelle to anyone looking for a wedding dress and great service and selection. read more

I really enjoyed my time spent at Novelle Bridal. While it's service is not as high end as Pure Bridal, it certainly had a great selection and very nice staff. When I went on a Wednesday afternoon for my appointment there was one other walk in looking through dresses which ultimately ate into my time with the consultant, but c'est la vie I suppose when there is only one person working. It is a really small shop, great selection and cute decor. I actually fell in love with three dresses and had to narrow down my choice. This was someone who wasn't even planning on buying her dress that day! My consultant was very patient and let me try on everything twice. It was a little different because she had me pick out the dresses and shift through the stock, but it ended up being a more fruitful trip then my other appointment. I ended up picking out the perfect destination wedding dress. I cannot give away too much detail as my fiance will probably read this, but it was exactly what I had thought of in my head before I even stepped into the store. Novelle Bridal is lucky to have received one star from me at all, because if I could give them no stars rating I would! If you are a bride on a budget or a bride with no budget, I highly recommend you shop elsewhere! Novelle bridal is a huge rip off! I walked in with my fiancé looking forward to shopping for a bridal gown. I looked for a few, didn't find what I wanted but that wasn't my problem. My problem was the service I received from novelle bridal workers. The first one was polite, the second one wanted to book an appointment and insisted on looking at my rings on my hands, and she closely inspected my engagement ring and then told the other worker before showing me a few more dresses, she said "the price has gone up, on all the dresses...tagged or not...the price has gone up!" Needless to say we didn't keep our appointment and never ever went back! read more

The girls were VERY patient as I tried on over 20 dresses in total, came back time and time again for different opinions, and now as I go through fittings with them. The girls are also very helpful with pulling dresses that you may like as well as accessorizing. The store is small but full of beautiful gowns, shoes, bridesmaid dresses and accessories. You can really spend what you like here as well and their for sale off the rack selection is always excellent and full of great deals if you are willing to do a couple alterations. Novelle Bridal is in a unique position in Edmonton in that it carries better stock than most of the stores in the city, and has clearly spent time and money in developing a beautiful space with many rooms to try items on and have family members sit while you're trying items on. Good product and a nice store front should go hand in hand with excellent customer service. The staff at Novelle do a good job of helping you find your unique item, but in my experience the quality unravels quickly afterwards. As a bridesmaid, I was part of a group of people that spent a fair amount of money at Novelle. The selection of bridesmaid dresses isn't amazing, but again, it's one of the better ones in Edmonton. They could certainly stand to offer some choices in a wider range of price options as everything sits on a high end of a scale. After all bridesmaids selected and purchased the dresses and then waited 3 months for them to come in, not one fit properly. All required some significant alternations, which, done at the store, cost nearly half the cost of the dress itself. The bride's dress also required significant alteration, at a high cost. Novelle was not particularly pleasant to deal with throughout the alteration/ordering/waiting experience, and often there were very long wait periods when fittings were booked, because they were busy selling product to other clients. For a store that is marketing itself as the "high end boutique" wedding store in Edmonton, there are a few critical pieces missing that would go a long way towards making buying a dress at Novelle a great experience, from top to bottom. 1 - Expand bridesmaid selection. Offer more choice for a range of budgets. 2 - If significant alterations are required to a dress that was "custom ordered to fit" - offer some discount on that alteration and try to have some empathy for people (brides especially) that aren't particularly happy that the dress they've waited months for is a poor fit, especially when their own bodies haven't changed at all. 3 - When clients come into the store, having some tea/water/champagne on hand would be a really classy touch, considering the amount of money changing hands. 4 - Book appointments for the number of staff you have on hand at that particular day. This is a significant event in people's lives. Ensuring that everyone who enters the store is receiving quality one to one attention will make people want to send their friends to you again and again. read more

When the shop called me to set up the first appointment for alterations, Ina said that I could wait a month and it was no problem because they had a lot of time to get my dress altered. While paying for alterations, Jessica told me that once I pay for particular alterations, they can adjust these alterations as much as needed to get the aspects of the dress to my liking. After the first appointment, I drove home and was not okay with the photos. I went back about 3 weeks later at the end of July and tried the dress on again and did not like the look of the cups and how tight it was around my hips and the length of the sleeves felt different than the sample dress. So I booked an appointment for the beginning of August and checked my dress against the sample dress and discovered it came in quite different than the sample dress. When I asked Jessica why it came different, she said that sometimes it happens and the designer had someone just do it different. I was not impressed that they didn't catch this sooner and I have a written email after this appointment that they would let me use the sample dress and they promised me to get all the alterations done before September 14. The alterations lady, Melody, was going on holidays to Australia and had a lot of other bride's dresses on the go. I was not aware at any point until the beginning of August that she was going on holidays. I asked her to get some of the basic work done the weekend before Melody left. The manager, Diana, said they would do this for me over the phone. Later in the day, she called me back and said that I should "Find someone else to do alterations because I changed my mind too many times and now they don't have time to get the dress done with the seamstress gone for two weeks on holidays." When I spoke to her on the phone I told her I never wanted to switch seamstresses, Diana reiterated that I come pick the dress up the following Wednesday and get a refund only for the alterations I paid. I told her I didn't want this to happen and I was shocked that they are kicking me out of their business a month before the wedding with a dress that doesn't fit me and was half taken apart. However, when I arrived on the Wednesday, I put the dress on. While still in my dress, Diana started talking business and said "Unfortunately, we still feel you need to go elsewhere." I asked her not to talk business with me while I was still in my wedding dress and talk to me in her office instead. She again told me to find someone else to finish the job and that she would line up another seamstress for me. I said to Diana that I felt very wronged in this situation, that I had written evidence of her promising to get the work done and that if they didn't they would use the sample dress for me instead, that I felt it wrong for them to blame me for this when it was actually due to their seamstress leaving for two weeks and having too many dresses on the go being altered. I told her this situation made me loose sleep, made me cry in being so upset. At that point I gave up and asked her what she was doing about the money situation of this. I felt I deserved full money back for alterations, the lace I ordered for free for all the travel and gas I wasted. She agreed. However, the dress was half torn apart, there was now a hole in the armpit, the sleeves were still defective from the designer and when I got home there was traces of blood on the skirt from the seamstress. read more

After my sister's amazing experience here a few years ago, my experience here was just okay and even downright bad at times. I initially booked an appointment here in October 2014 to look at bridal gowns for my upcoming wedding. The appointment seemed very rushed and the consultant actually told me I couldn't try on all of the dresses that I wanted to because we didn't have time. Meanwhile, she would only bring one gown at a time upstairs to the dressing room. I was in and out of them in no time as I had told her I would be and was often left waiting for her to bring others I had wanted to try. I did end up making another appointment because I realized I didn't want the style I was originally looking for (not because my first appointment ran out of time). This second appointment was a bit better as I only had a couple of gowns to try. Ultimately, I found my gown at Delica Bridal, but did come back to Novelle in the winter to look for a dress for my mom and a rehearsal dinner dress for myself. I found a dress and my mom found a dress she liked the shape of, but wanted in floor length. We requested that they contact the designer to see if the dress could be made floor length. The consultant happily agreed to contact the designer and would call us with the answer as soon as they heard. After a few days, I called the salon to follow up as I hadn't heard anything. They hadn't received an answer from the designer. Now, 4 months and even another visit to the shop later, I still have not heard anything from them and my mom found a beautiful dress elsewhere. I went recently to pick up the rehearsal dinner dress that I ordered after making an appointment to try it on at pick up (6:00). I walked into the shop and sat in the waiting area as it seemed like everyone was tied up in appointments - no one came to greet me. I waited until 6:30 and finally had to interrupt another appointment to find someone to get my dress. If I made an appointment, shouldn't someone have been available for that time? Needless to say, I paid and took my dress elsewhere for alterations as Novelle has been quite unreliable so far. read more

This was the worst worst worst place I have ever been too. They do not carry dresses over a certain size to try on ( I am a size 12...so not above average). I was told no dresses in the store would fit me. I was left to cry in the change room as well as left to cry my way out of the store. No help from the saleswoman to even find me something to make me feel better. This experience has left me TRAUMATIZED to even try any more dresses on. I LOVED some of the designers they carry and NOT one was a size anywhere close to being able to fit me. I have actually contacted the designers of some of the dresses they carry to file a complaint. Let me reiterate that I AM NOT OVERWEIGHT I am a size 12-14 wedding dress, and we all know that wedding dresses fit smaller. read more

I had a good experience at Novelle bridal while shopping for my dress. The consultant really listened to my requests, and brought several great options for me. I ended up choosing a dress well-suited to me and which I really loved. However, I was extremely disappointed with the alterations service. The price for alterations came back at almost double what the consultant had quoted. The dress was $1300 and Novelle Bridal wanted to charge $600 for alterations. A bustle had been added to the dress before my initial fitting and it was totally crooked. I found this odd and when I inquired with the designer they stated the dress was not made with a bustle. I can only think that it was added by Novelle Bridal, who then stated it would cost over $100 to correct this error. The lining of this fitted dress was wrinkled and I had to return for 2 additional fittings to reduce the wrinkling. They never did get it right and told me it was because the lining was made larger than the actual dress and it wasn't possible to remove the wrinkles underneath. They did bring the price down when I complained about the bustle issue and the difference between the initial quote and actual cost. To summarize, in my opinion Novelle Bridal is a reasonable option for purchasing a wedding dress. However, I would not recommend getting alterations done there because the cost was very high for what needed to be done and the quality of alterations in the end was not great. read more

First off, it is very difficult for me to write such a scathing review after what had started out to be my dream dress buying experience. First off, I had driven by Novelle Bridal for years and dreamed of the day I would walk in and purchase my dress. Once the time came I was more than excited to begin the process. Elisa (sp?) was my consultant and helped me find the perfect dress after only trying on 3 gowns. I ordered my dress and waited anxiously for it to arrive. Until this point my experience had been great. However, my dress came in and I attended the fitting with my bridesmaid and my son (in a stroller). The dress fit great and I was excited. The shop was kind enough to hold the dress for me as my family and I were moving and my fitting was coming up soon. When I went into the store to pick up my dress (to bring it to the seamstress) I was told that the store manager had found stains on my gown and that they were blaming it on my stroller. The manager told me that they had found the stain on the dress after I left. This was a complete lie as my bridesmaid and I watched her bag the dress up and bring it up stairs. We had even made a remark about how big the dress was and how hard it had been for them to get it into the bag. I requested they try and get the stain out as this was a $2500 dress and I couldn't imagine having to take my brand new dress some where when I know that I didn't have anything to do with the stain being put on the dress. The store agreed to have it cleaned and they sent it to the seamstress themselves. They called me 2 days later and told me it came out and that all was fine. I was relieved. Lastly, I went to the seamstress and the stain was still there. I only had 2 weeks to have the dress altered and to take it to our wedding destination. The stain was light enough and on the bottom of the gown so it wasn't as noticeable. However, it does not stop the fact that the manager completely ruined my experience by lying. Therefore, my advice is that if you are going to Novelle Bridal do NOT trust the dress to be kept there and DO make sure that you inspect every square inch of the dress when you go in to examine it. It's very sad that this happened as it ruined an experience that I had spent many years dreaming of. read more

I came to this store twice. The first time to look for dresses the other for jewellery and a head piece. The first time was OK the second time I wasn't even greeted upon entry. I find the staff to be very snooty and think they're something special. Take the chip off your shoulder! You're in downtown Edmonton not Beverly Hills! I've had far better service in Beverly Hills than I have had at this store. No way I'll be coming back. Over priced, and they're too finicky about everything. The store is nothing special. Stores like this make brides stressed. read more

Novelle was my second of four appointments and the worst experience out of all. When I walked in the girl was nice but didn't seem overly knowledgable. She asked me what I wanted in a dress and a price point then sent me to look at dresses (realized at the next store - i didnt even remember seeing prices listed on the dresses whereas other salons had it very visible and also told me which section fit my price range) The one star I did give them is for their selection as they did have a larger selection of actual dresses - however they are all so tightly packed it was extremely hard to look at them. She would have to hold the other dresses back while I tried to view one and even then I could not see the bottom. It wasn't until I had all my dresses selected that she decided to tell me that basically I wouldn't fit into any of the sample sizes. All sample sizes are 10 or 12. And while I fit into some size 12 dresses at other salons, this one they wouldn't budge. I tried to bring one down over my head and it literally didn't even begin to budge over my boobs (I am only about 38c /36d). The girl tried to tell me that they can order in my size - however I would NEVER buy a dress without trying it on..... Nice try. I think I should have been told before I started pulling dresses their size limitations as it was a waste of my time. If you're looking for a fantastic bridal experience at more of a "boutique" salon go to pure!!! It was fabulous. Delica was good too but less selection. Bridal debut also amazing If you are a larger girl or have any bit of booty or boobs - do not bother to go to this store!! read more
