The milk tastes so fresh. Nothing like the Walmart milk. Now that is the only milk I drink. Well had to get Walmart milk cause stores were low and out etc for snowstorm coming. But we needed milk. Got this from the Berea KY store That milk was just as nasty as the La Vergne Walmart. Nasty as hell. So I looked it up. It was not in my mind. I was raised on dairy farms and I know good milk when I taste it. This is what I found. Walmart milk, particularly the Great Value brand, often has a "nasty" or prematurely spoiled taste due to failures in the cold chain during transportation and stocking, causing bacteria to grow. Reports suggest milk sits on warehouse floors or in trucks above 40°F, while faulty containers may introduce air and bacteria, causing it to spoil before the labeled date. I had started a return online for bad milk which I have done once before. In La Vergne TN Walmart they do not ask me to bring back milk bad bananas etc. This Berea Walmart wants me to drive 30 miles mind you that is 60 miles round trip for 2.33 cents milk. That's why I wrote a different review than what I might have.

The "R&R Management" company that put the boot on said that I was only allowed one hour. Went inside and asked for a manager. The manager asked to see my receipt, of which I spent $147 on various items. She said, you just checked out 5 minutes ago, I said yes, I've been inside shopping for all of this during the past hour. I just returned to put my bags in my truck and there was the boot. The manager then said, If you were parked over an hour, you have to pay the fee. The fee was $500. !!!!!!!!! This is so wrong and such a scam!!!! I think the Walmart Manager at this store is getting a kick back of cash from this R&R people that put the boot on my truck!!!!!! Do Not Go Here To Shop!!!!

I've gone to school at Berea College for 2.5 years. Hadn't visited the Farm Store until last week…read more I can say with certainty that my biggest regret is not having shopped there sooner! The atmosphere is very down-to-earth and homey, but very straightforward and easy to take in. Everyone from the student workers, managers, and full-time employees are incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the wide array of organic/ nutritious products they carry. The produce and meat from the Berea College Farm are of incredible quality, too. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch around 11:45 to beat the noon crowd during the week. Their affordable menu changes daily to reflect the offerings that week, and the freshness is unmatched in Berea. Have a seat outdoors and enjoy a nutritious lunch mingling with the regulars and locals that stop in, and if you're up to it, do a little grocery shopping while you're there!

They sell products of the students' work, and I'm always struck by how underutilized Kentucky farm land seems to be relative to the food people actually eat here. The winter selection was modest, as one might expect, with greens, root vegetables, and mushrooms for sale, and a couple of hot lunch options and baked goods. Their chickpea dish was fine; nothing special but a decent lunch. Adding a cake pop was tasty; despite the semi-sweet chocolate flavor it was still definitely sweet. There was a lunch rush, and I imagine the locals fill the place up often.
