I am a plus size bride, wearing 18/20 street size. I stated this on the forum when booking my appointment and when the employee asked upon entrance. Although sizing had been discussed, a lot of the dresses I was handed in the change room were sizes 10-14 and I was not able to try them on. Either they wouldn't fit over my hips, or my arms wouldn't fit in armhole with the strap, or my arm just wouldn't fit into the sleeve. Trying to squeeze into a dress that's half your size in a dark changing room without assistance is not a good start. At one point I told the employee that one of the dresses I wasn't able to pull up, and she seemed surprise "oh really? Is the zipper undone all the way", I said I would double check, but yes it was undone all the way. I just don't think the size 10 dress was ready for my size 20 hips. Another dress was sleeveless but had a high illusion neckline and I was excited to try on, however my upper arms were not fitting into the arm holes as it was a size 14 and my upper arms are larger. I told the employee this from the dark room behind the curtain and her response was simply "how about we move to the next one then". Which was sad because I thought this one would look so good if only in a better size. At this point I was starting to feel that same dreaded feeling I use to get when trying to buy name brand clothes in middle school. Hadn't felt that shame in a decade. I stuck my head out and asked if they had any plus size dresses, as these tags seemed to be 10-12 or 14 and I am usually about a 20. She pointed to the rack we got the 14 from and said that was the plus size rack. When I was able to get my body into a dress it was still a size 16, the neckline area never fit and it was nearly impossible to "use my imagination on". Since the detailing didn't line up and it was making indents. There was one dress I did like. However it was a zipper back and I was told the "zipper is slippery" so it couldn't be done up. I don't know much about how bridal shops use dress clips but she didn't use any and barely did anything. She held the open back together for about 30 seconds as I looked in the mirror then walked away. The dress had sparkly spaghetti straps that were very long so they dropped and curved a bit. My mom was trying to get a photo so I could look at it later but as the employee wasn't doing much to make the dresses look as they would if they fit I was trying to pull the straps at the back so it would appear tighter and then holding my arms down so the bodice wouldn't fly open. Ugh I honestly felt like crying when I was in the dark changing room, I felt lost. I was barely getting any assistance. She wasn't helping the dresses look as they would once fitted, I felt helpless. Not being able to fit into dresses and not having any dresses my size even when My size had obviously been discussed made my confidence drop and made me feel ugly and gross. Which is definitely not what a wedding gown shop should do.

Very easy communication. Let me tell you, Anna is the sweetest! She's soft spoken and very accommodating. She provided same day service for the mother of the bride, for the wedding I'm a part of. I had my dress done within 2 weeks. She would have had it done sooner but my fault, I forgot my shoes when I came for my initial visit. So I had to go back a second time. She works from home and her little workshop is set right in the front of her house, as soon as you walk in. Great customer service here, don't think you'll be disappointed.

I also wanted to have a off-shoulder neck with full sleeves. The bridal place I got it from gave me a quote of 1800$. Other places near my place gave me a quote for nothing less than 1000$. I then came to Anna and Qobolla after reading reviews online. They were so welcoming and understood my issues. They were very patient in explaining to me the fabric I have to get. They worked on the gown for just $500 in total. Even when I was satisfied with the gown, they looked into the details and fixed it. They are extremely detail oriented, very skilled and reasonably priced. I'm extremely satisfied with my gown and their service. I would recommend to go to them for any type of alterations, even ones with a lot of work or complicated. They did a very very good job on my gown.

This is saying a lot from me as my family ran their own business for 35 years, and both my in-laws have their own business, one is in retail and has been in business for 40 years. Never would anyone in my family ever treat a person the way I was treated. I came to look at prom dresses for my niece. The door was locked and there was a sign that said "ring bell". I waited a good 5minutes before someone popped out of the curtains from the back. She gave me an annoyed look and asked how she could help me. I said I just wanted to look at dresses for my nieces prom. She reluctantly let me in but had to make sure to mention that she normally has times for mother of the bride and proms, and demanded I take my shoes off. I really don't know what the big deal is with shoes. I mean it's a dingy not vary clean store to begin with, if it had been raining or snowing outside I could understand taking off my shoes, but it was a nice day, my shoes weren't dirty. I was taken back and asked if there was a problem, again she glared at me with this annoyed look and she looked down at my shoes and said take your shoes off. At this point I said, no thanks...I'm going. She sarcastically said "okay by" and locked the door behind me. there are many ways this woman could have handled this situation differently. ..there could have been a sign on the door "by appointment only", or she could have greeted me at the door and said "I'm sorry we only do appointments or can you come back later between this and this time. We were able to fit in an appointment the day before for Sunday at 11 a.m. Despite the dingy outside appearances, there's quite a great selection of dresses, and Susan, the sales rep who helped my friend, had a great attitude and fetched some great dresses. We came out with three great options. I don't know what my friend will decide on in the end; that's up to her. But out of all the stores we went to, we felt like we had the best customer try-on experience here. There wasn't any pressure to buy, and Susan was genuinely positive and friendly; we felt comfortable with her. Plus, the dress prices were more affordable, about $1100-$1200 for the ones we liked. Though the quality of the fabric may not be as high as some of the other dresses we tried on at more premium stores, what's most important is the style and how it looks in photographs. Though I think we only mentioned a budget of $1500 so maybe there are higher quality dresses at a higher price point. The customer service and value is among the best. Definitely give them a look if you're in the market for wedding dresses.
