What makes this farmers market so special is that there's truly something for everyone. Many of the produce vendors have been staples for our family for years. You can find fresh vegetables, eggs, local crawfish, chicken, meat, bread, pastries, plants, dates, flowers..you name it, and it's probably there. The vendors are always welcoming, and there's such a great sense of community. It's wonderful to see so many people coming together to support local farmers, makers, and small businesses. Whether you're shopping for groceries, grabbing a bite to eat, or just enjoying the atmosphere, it's always a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

It has all organic vegetables, fruits, honey, mushrooms (including Lion Mane ($5/bag), oysters), sourdough breads, flowers that you are looking for, without feeling overwhelmed with lots of booths. Parking: free street parking Come early as favorite items run out fast: for example: blueberries ($7/bag) and sweet cherries ($6/bag)!! Most of the merchants accept CREDIT CARD, making the experience smoother. There is 1 (one) coffee truck with breads if you need your caffeine fix. It is a bit dark since it is under the bridge, but overall clean and seems safe space. Bring your shopping bag!!

There is literally something for everyone, whether it's niche art, different international food, and amazing fresh produce and homemade food for sale. There is always organized live music or respectful buskers scattered throughout the market. Both vendors and staff are extremely welcoming and love conversation about their wares or about your experience at the market as a whole.

They also shut down multiple streets during the market, so be aware that you may get redirected depending on which way you're driving in or leaving. There are lots of pet dogs everywhere, so consider yourself warned. If you're not a dog person, this might not be your vibe. But if you are, it's such a fun place to see the cutest dogs of all different breeds, or even bring your own along. They have so many vendors, from fresh flowers, produce, and meats to local organizations, museums, live music, and, most importantly, food. I love the variety of food you can try, and there are plenty of samples throughout the market. They also have a small kiddie play area, which is a nice bonus if you're bringing little ones. Just be prepared because it gets hot, there is no seating, and people can sometimes be rude or get a little too close in the crowds. That's pretty typical anywhere with a large gathering, though. Overall, I really like this specific farmers market because there's so much to see and do that it's actually worth making a trip out for. This was my first time here and won't be my last.

Who wants to get $25 for walking 1 mile?…read more Yep, you read that right. Adults (18+) who sign in and join the group walk get a $25 Farmers Market voucher. Kids 12 and under receive a $5 voucher. Meadowview Light Rail Station Every Sunday, 9:00 AM-10:00 AM No registration needed. Just show up around 9:00 AM to check in and grab a lanyard. The walk starts at 9:30 AM, and vouchers are handed out at 10:00 AM. Parking: Free and plentiful in the station parking lot. Farmers Market: Smaller than most Sacramento farmers markets, with about 17 vendors selling fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, Turkish coffee, Hmong food, and more. ****My favorite booth: Sahara Coffee They serve traditional sand coffee, a centuries-old Ottoman brewing method. Finely ground coffee and water are brewed in a copper pot which placed directly in hot sand. The sand provides even heat, creating a rich flavor and thick, velvety foam. If you're not sure what to order, try their most popular drink: saffron coffee. The owner travels to farmers markets throughout the Sacramento area and up to Lake Tahoe, and also caters private events. A free 1-mile walk, a $25 voucher, and a cup of unique Turkish coffee? Sounds like a pretty good Sunday morning to me.

I was able to snag some wonderful plant starts and the best pound cake from Taste of Pound. That orange pineapple is a show stopper. Who knew pound cakes come in so many flavors. I love that this market has it all, affordable produce, ready to eat food, good drinks, body care items and more. I can't wait to see what the market brings this summer.

I learned about this from seeing downtownsac's posts on social media. If you love food trucks, there's a few to check out here. I want to go back to try Pinorrito (Filipino food) I loved the Vietnamese iced coffee, fried shrimp bites and egg rolls I ordered from Boba & Bites. There's plenty of farmers there from micro greens to mushrooms, you cannot go wrong. J & J Ramos Farms was there along with Toledo Farms, each stocked with fresh produce ranging from vegetables to fruits. There's also bakery items such as Faria Bakery and Rosa's Bakery. All in all, check out this farmer's market in downtown sac and follow their social media for updates. Everyone here was nice and had wonderful customer service. I loved seeing the dogs out along with people watching too. It was through there that I was able to learn that they were closed the week of July 4th.
