great place for family fun and food Defintely recommend going for food, coffee or causal drink

Arcade- many games were broken. Overcharged for two games of bowling - paid $65 for two was reimbursed $25 when only played one.

Love the building, however the service is downright awful. The 2 that own the place have personalities like a post when they are not being nasty to their customers. There is no table service and if you want something you wait forever after walking up to the bar to order it. They need to get some help that have pleasant personalities and want to actually there. read more

Have you ever been to King's in Boston or Bayside Bowl in Portland, ME? I'm not joking...this place is the equivalent! The only difference is that it's unexpectedly in a mountain town in western Maine. What a blast! I feel like I should walk in here with a rubber hand or a White Russian. 10 lanes for bowling, a full bar, pool, darts, live music, big screen TVs for game day, trivia, etc. Oh, and did I mention the large leather recliners surrounding an indoor gas firepit? This place rocks. The food is mediocre, but who cares when you add in all the other things? Definitely check this place out. read more

Would have expected better customer service from a resort / vacation town hot spot... Food was mediocre, but ok for a bowling ally/ bar. Staff and management treated us like we were interrupting them. Nice facility though, fire pit and live music was nice. read more

We love this place! Every time we visit Rangeley the family enjoys a visit for some partying and a few strings of bowling. Sam is a great bartender. Sunday night is a bargain evening for just $5. Great bands, billiards and basic pub/fryolator foods. Very clean place with a very hip crowd most nights. read more

Great place to grab a drink and hang out by the fire, shoot pool or bowl a few strings. The band was great and we had fun playing the tambourine. I have seen this property change hands a few times and I hope this set up sticks around for a while. read more

A great time. Food is good. Not an extensive menu but for a bowling alley it is more than acceptable. Great bar and sitting around the fire pit is so very relaxing after a day of snowmobiling. Very busy and noisy most nights. Bands are great. They play around 8:30. If wanting some light snacks like flatbread pizza or wings this is your place. Multiple tvs for sports. The bowling is fantastic. Reserve early. read more

Went to see a friend's band play Saturday night. This was a great place--seemed like the place to be in Rangley! There was bowling, pool tables, a small arcade, a dance floor, and big, comfy chairs around a fire pit! The bar tender was great, and even though it was busy, we received our drinks quickly. This place has the potential to be an amazing family hangout: a warm lodge-like atmosphere with a bar and comfy seating for the adults, and bowling and arcade for the kids. The problem is the owner/management. I have yet to go and experience friendly service. The bar doesn't have experienced staff, and on this last visit, I needed to help them figure out how to make my drink (a gin and tonic -- not exactly rocket science). Also, in what I'm sure must be a health code violation, the owner was wandering in and out of the kitchen with a dog in a bag at her hip (yes, you read that right -- a dog), the same dog that was also spotted on the kitchen counter. In addition, on this same recent visit with several friends and all of our kids (ages ranging from 8 to 16), the owner was very rude to our kids, claiming they were "unsupervised" (they were next to us), and "out of control" (they were sliding in the fenced area next to the fire pit and no one else was in that area -- in fact, we were a group of nearly 20, and we were nearly the only customers in the entire place). In fact, if the owner hadn't been adamant about shutting down the arcade at 8pm and kicking the kids out of the bowling lanes at the same time, they would have been well-entertained at the money-sucking arcade while the adults continued to enjoy drinks and food. After her rudeness, however, we all closed our tabs and left. It's a shame the staff seems so unhappy about having to serve their paying clientele and the children that inevitably come with us, but given our last experience, I won't go back. read more

I've never been treated so rudely in my life! An awful experience. The owner was condescending and tactless. I would not suggest visiting the establishment if you can help it. Otherwise, the town of Rangeley is an excellent choice for a vacation destination. Rangeley is quaint and the views stunning. read more

We went here after getting tired of waiting for service at another local restaurant. I'm so glad we did. What a fun place. The pizza was great and the staff was friendly. It's not your typical bowling alley atmosphere. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area. read more

I am an avid snowmobiler who has been a seasonal renter in the Rangeley area for almost ten years. I think a lot about supporting the local businesses and keeping the tourism funds in the community that supports the snowmobilers. I constantly contribute to the snowmobile grooming funds and the businesses that support riders. Moose Alley was a frequent destination for my family however my experiences there in the past 2-3 years have been nothing short of terrible. Hour long waits for unedible fried food, staff and ownership rude to myself and my children, and a general feeling that they could care less about my business. Its unfortunate this is the only game in Town for this style entertainment as the kids dont know the difference except when they get kicked out of the arcade at 7:50 or are not allowed to play pool even with an adult. Hopefully a change of ownership, or a new venue will open, that will not cut off the hand that feeds them. read more

This place is expensive for what it is, games of pool work out to about 5 dollars each, and bowing is by the hour. That being said, it is the bar tender and management that earned this review. Service at the bar was slow, and the bartender was rude. read more

Don't bring your kids! I went with a big group of friends and though they brag a family atmosphere including an arcade, the owner was rude to all of our children repeatedly! Ordering food or drinks appeared to be a serious imposition to the staff. I have been coming up to Rangeley for about twenty years; my husband's family have roots here. I am very disappointed in the service here. I will say the "staff" was good it was the service from the owner. We had problems with the arcade games and she could have cared less that it wasn't working properly. The kids had no where to be as there was a bowling league at the lanes. They were yelled to stay off the carpeted areas (part of the bar). Nancy "the owner" was more concern about the bowlers then apparently if she was make money off the tourist. We will never again step foot in the establishment ... our money isn't going to someone that is so disrespectful toward patrons. read more

I live local and have gone a few times, the food is okay and the bowling is fun. My complaint is about the owner. After spending several hundred dollars on food bowling, and drinks we were preparing to leave and finishing our drinks while the band finished their sound checks (9pm). At this point the owner came up and rudely stated we needed to pay a cover charge for the band. The band was at the warm up stage and was not playing yet. We stated that we had been there for several hours and spent money in the business. She belligerently told us to pay up or get out. I was irate and not very calm, either. Yelling back and forth with this individual, I finally asked for her manager. She stated she was the owner, which made me realize there was no point in expressing the rudeness of this "employee". She expressed that she did not care what we thought. Eventually, my fiance chimed in and explained we were not staying, concluding the moment. In my 40 years of life I have never been charged a cover after spending hours and hundreds at a bar and definitely never been treated so poorly by a business OWNER! I will not suggest this business to anyone unless the owner changes hands and is a more pleasant individual. read more

This is a fun place, lots to do, fun for the whole family. Bowling, arcade, darts, billiards, bar, food, RVs, music, dancing. This place is great. It would score higher, but staffing sucks. Bartenders, and other staff attend to regulars first, visitors last. And that's only when you can find them. I've been here several times, and each visit, the service is slow and very few workers present. read more
