    Pretzel bites

Stopped in on our way to an event in Sugarloaf. The place is really nice and very clean and the service is excellent. We decided on the Greek pizza and some pretzel bites and some wicked cold beer. Most assuredly we will make this a stop on our way to Sugarloaf when we come up. I mean what can you say about a place that serves burgers pizza delicious delicious apps flatbreads and a Great Bar selection plus you can bowl!

Cool bowling spot after a day on the mountain. There's 8 lanes a golf room and arcade, large bar friendly staff and good bar food!!

I checked in once since my last review. I was having a nice time! It was promising that the Sugarbowl was improving its quality and more importantly care. I was thrilled to learn Sunday's Bloody Mary's are $4 and they had great wings - large and meaty cooked just right-slightly $$, but worth it. So the next time I went back - oops no Bloody Mary mix. So I elected not to stay. I had come for a repeat Mary/wing extravaganza. So today I went back craving a nice early wing and Mary treat (even paying full price for the Mary as it's a Saturday)! Ordered the dozen wings (last time I had the wings I was able to take some home for a later snack). When they were delivered they were noticeably tinier. Not smaller--the description I mean IS tiny. Like 1/2 of them were difficult to hold with two fingers. I asked. "What happened to the wings?" I was very polite and careful not to offend, but emphasized their smaller stature. I said they tasted good, but VERY baby sized. Mind you I'm paying more than a $1 for a baby wing. $13.50. Mal (the bartender) was polite as well. Not enthused, but polite. She did go back to the kitchen and ask. She came back and responded yes they are smaller. The distributor gave them smaller wings this time. I thought she indicated that they wouldn't charge me as much--it was a bit unclear, but I felt confident that their knowing they were not the same standard and that I was obviously less satisfied...they would discount a little... When I got the bill I needed to have it corrected because I was charged $15 for two half dozen orders. I again sarcastically joked, "not only tiny wings, but charging more!" Along that line, a passive (not that passive) reminder...$34.00 for 2 drinks and tiny wings. No comment and no discount. Last time I reviewed I got an apology. I am not looking for apologies. I wanted to be a patron. A satisfied patron. I'm not a challenging customer, discerning yes. But I am a foodie and I want to enjoy spending my hard earned $$. Bummer.

Delicious lobster roll with coleslaw and chips. Yum!

Renovated back in 2018, this charming family-friendly sports bar is located in the heart of Downtown Rangeley and serves up the usual cavalcade of Pub food, from fish and chips to burgers and even pizza. You know, the four food groups. :8) The Good: *Terrific service by our waitress, Miranda *Outdoor dining (not sure if it's dog-friendly) *Tons of TVs for sports viewing action *Free street parking and you can also park in the nearby lot to the park. *Very reasonable prices (we're from Cali so take that fwiw) *Great selection of local micro and macro brews on-tap *Onion Rings were worth the extra upcharge *Carissa ordered some kinda haddock chowder and couldn't stop raving about it. *Pastrami Reuben was outstanding. The Pastrami was piled high and sliced nice and thin; the bread (marbled rye ofc) was crispy and toasted perfectly; and it had just the right amount of Swiss, 1000 island, & sauerkraut to make it perfection. The Meh: *Interior is a little loud The Ugly: *Not the place to be if you're looking for health food. I mean, yeah, they got a few salads on the menu, but not much else beyond. Conclusion: Terrific pub fare and drinks in a family-friendly environment. Highly recommended.
