Me and my boyfriend stopped by Moose Alley while visiting for a long weekend getaway. This was our first time traveling out to Rangeley. The drive was absolutely filled with beautiful scenery! If you're looking for a scenic route. After reading some very mixed reviews, we decided to check this place out! Although some others have mentioned their concerns about staff / wait times, We personally had an amazing time. There are plenty of spots to sit down and relax , including super comfy chairs by the fire pit! There was live music playing the entire night and the vibe was awesome. We ordered our food and staff was very helpful. We stopped by the bar and our bartender was super sweet and kind! SUPER yummy drink too! I got an espresso and it was one of the best i've tried! We ventured off to the arcade where we purchased a spot for the pool table! We had a great time ( even though i'm not the greatest player) We watched people bowl which was also super entertaining. Our food was awesome and came out in a timely manner! If you're looking for a fun place to relax , drink, play pool or bowl, or just looking for a nice warm spot to listen to some live music, check this place out! We will absolutely be back! We haven't been to Moose Alley in a few years. Came in with our teenagers for a fun night, which unfortunately had to end by 7 PM. While they do have food, we ate prior to our arrival. The plan was to bowl, play arcade games, and maybe some pool. Bowling was fun- you pay by the person per hour, so it was $52 for four of us for 1 hour. The kids really wanted to play pool, but we learned that the area where the pool tables are located is 21and up. Disappointing. We then went over to the arcade area, which was closed down promptly at 7 PM for no particular reason. Also, again very disappointing. Why this area is not kept open for the evening is beyond me. Since there was really nothing else for us to do with the kids, we ended up leaving. With really nothing else to do in Rangely in the evening for anyone under the age of 21, we thought that Moose Alley was going to be our option. Apparently not, and they definitely are more of a bar/drinking establishment geared for adults. read more

The staff here was beyond rude to my grandpa red rooster. They told him he wasn't fit to bowl because he had a mullet wig on mind you he is 93 years old. The pickle fries sounded good and were edible but watch out because it seems there were some laxatives put in them. I've went poo poo 17 times since eating them. When I went in the bathroom an employee an older woman was doing something suspicious in the bathroom stall. It looked like she was using a bong and she yelled at me for interrupting her. read more

Went in at 8:45 on Saturday to grab a bite to eat. At the counter, a young lady apologetically told my wife, son and I that the kitchen was closed. Their website says all day menu till the bowling alley closes (11pm), so I asked about that and a man behind her in a very confrontational way said "what did you say!...kitchen closes at 9". I said that's not what your website says online and he said "it says a lot of things online". Honestly thought he wanted to fight. I don't care if the food would have been great, it couldn't be good enough to compensate for the staffs rudeness. Went to Sarges down the street and got a pizza that was great and staff were very nice! Highly recommend going there if you're looking for something to eat. read more

The experience I had at Moose alley was wonderful ! Thank you Rebecca (night shift) who treated my group so kindly and made us wonderful pizzas! With just the right balance of flavors so much so, that we ended up going back for breakfast the next morning and got Sam who was also a very lovely and kind person very attentive to every table. Happy Mother's Day indeed! Husband took me here for breakfast for Mother's Day, it was the only place in town serving breakfast so we stopped in. Not very crowded, plenty of seating available. Waiter was quick to greet us and get us out beverages which were a coffee and two Bloody Marys. Caught up with some friends and waiter was there for our order when our friends departed. Food was prepared perfectly. Husband tried Eggs Benedict for the first time and enjoyed them. My Lox and cream cheese was delicious although I am unfamiliar with adding cucumbers to this dish so I had in the side. They are a nice addition too. Waiter was excellent. Can one place be all things to all people? I'm not sure, but Moose Alley is trying. We were camping and had rain one morning so decided to head there for breakfast and bowling. Our kids had a plate-sized pancake each. They cook the pancakes in a ton of butter. Very good. I had eggs benedict which had a really generous serving of canadian bacon. My husband was happy with his omelet. We then went over to bowl for 30 minutes. They have automatic bumpers so they can rise and lower based on who is bowling. They also have a few of the dinosaurs for little kids. It appears that there's a late night scene there too, with a dance floor and a bar. read more

Probably avoid? Unless you go in the evening or enjoy a 10am lunch. Went for the once in a lifetime weekend, when Rangeley is celebrating some festival for the eclipse (even though nothing noteworthy is actually happening in town), and upon arrival at 10:20am they said they shut down breakfast. Supposed to be 11am. You'd think with the lack of breakfast in this tiny town they'd want to make some money. Literally. Nothing else within 3 miles. Maybe they figure you have no choice but them. At that point go the 10+ miles. I was just getting take out hopefully but they don't answer phones so we had to drive there to get denied. They recommend leaving a voicemail, emailing or going on The lady said "because you know it's more than an hour". I'm a tourist to Rangeley and not Maine. And that's not Mainer talk. Not sure what excuse she was trying to make. Avoid in the morning as well. Unless while trying to wake up you want the sound of bowling balls crashing around you. read more

Stopped in here looking for a quick breakfast and it was one of the few options around us. It seems like a popular spot with the combination of food/bar along with bowling and arcade games but I'm rating strictly off the breakfast. Maybe we will come back for the full bowling experience in the future. They had a good amount of options for breakfast where everyone should be able to pick something so that's a plus. I went with the breakfast burrito with sausage added that came with homefries. The homefries were not seasoned well and a few were over cooked to the point I couldn't eat them. The burrito was pretty decent. My girlfriend with the stuffed French toast which was quite tasty. Overall not the best breakfast but not the worst hence the middle of the road rating. Horrible experience. While we had only a short wait for a table, we waited over an hour for our breakfast after placing our order. On top of that, the woman working the counter became confrontational, first when I inquired how much longer, and then again when she actually came to our table to continue her combative 'explanation' for our long wait. Not once did she or our server apologize for the delay or attempt to be at all understanding of our frustration. While our server was generally attentive and courteous, the woman from behind the counter was totally out of line, rude, antagonistic, and definitely not service oriented. We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning at around 9:00 am (this becomes important later). I had the eggs Benedict with pastrami hash (instead of Canadian bacon) and my husband had the hash with eggs. We both had Bloody Mary's. The pastrami hash features thin-sliced pastrami layered over excellent home fries. Not traditional hash as I've had it before, but very delicious. My eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked. The Bloody Mary's were fantastic. The bar tender told us they make their own blended mix that includes carrots, horse radish, Worcestershire sauce and fresh-squeezed lemon juice and that they make it in small batches to stay fresh. They were served with skewers of olives, pickles and a pickled carrot slice, lemon and lime slices as a garnish. The restaurant is part of a bowling alley, so it is not fancy, although there was a lovely fire in the central fire pit. You could hear the sound of falling pins in lieu of background music. I have read other comments about slow service here. It took about 30 minutes for us to get our food. We were in no hurry and it was totally worth the not-at-all staggering wait. Our food was served to us the moment it appeared in the kitchen service window and was piping hot. Everyone was very friendly and working very hard. Besides, we had those Bloody Mary's to tide us over! At around 10:30 they started turning away breakfast customers, because they were slammed and needed to catch up before lunch service started. I don't know if that is typical, but if you want breakfast there you might want to make sure you get there far in advance of the end of posted breakfast hours, just to be safe. Not a fan. Have been here twice now. Bartender with the red hair male was a rude bastard. Couldn't get a drink both times after acknowledging us twice and walked away to tend to the league despite us sitting there for 10 mins. The lady at the desk seemed very friendly at first. Super fun experience. They took the preventative measures to make us feel safe by requiring reservations for both the bowling and the arcade. Everyone had masks on, too. Nancy set us up very quickly with bumpers for my son and she was gracious by swinging by to see if we needed anything. The prices were reasonable and it was worth a stop during the one rainy day while on vacation. They have a pretty extensive brunch and lunch menu but we had plans elsewhere- will try the food next time! read more

Super fun spot for bar games and drinks! Food isn't that good but if you're looking for ok bar food then you're in luck. It gets crazy busy in the winter time with all the snowmobilers. I heard it has awesome breakfast but haven't tried it yet. They were definitely understaffed this past season but made the best of it and were still very friendly and working hard. read more

The place is nice but the owner is miserable and rude. She was rude from the moment we got there to the moment we left. She yelled at my family for singing happy Birthday to my son. The only reason she is still in business is basically because there isn't another establishment near by that has bowling, pool tables and entertainment. Everyone I have spoken to in the area knows that the owner Nancy is rude and down right mean. She should consider staying home and hiring help if she hates being there. Now, I'm not saying that I was really expecting a whole lot in the way of a luxurious fine-dining experience when i rolled up to this place, so I'm not going to be to persnickety about the overall joint. The place was clean, the atmosphere was to be expected and the food was perfectly pub-grub.. the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars (and even bothering to write a review) was because of how horrible the service was. You could almost hear the 16 year old girl's eyeballs scrape against the back of her head when she had to put her phone down to take our order. I've never felt so guilty for ordering a salad and some sliders in my life.. she was so rude that we were afraid to order drinks from her so we went to the bar.... they charged me 3 dollars for a club soda. Best "bowling alley" I've ever been to. I expect something like this in a major metro area, not Rangeley ME. It's not so much a bowling alley as an upscale bar that also has bowling. It's not cheap ($5-$6/beer,) but it's pretty awesome & if it was around home I'd go quite a bit. They have a good sound system, new lanes, firepits inside(!), a good beer selection...what's not to like? If you drive the whole way up there, you're foolish not to stop in for at least a beer. read more

Moose Alley is amazing and it's even more amazing to find it in Rangeley. My parents live across the road so we often come here when I am visiting. My mom is a member of the bowling team so she is here on a weekly basis. It is a very cool bowling alley and is a great addition to our little town. I've had quite a few good nights here bowling, drinking, and occasionally listening to live music. They have had the Mallet Brothers here a few times and they are one of my favorite Maine bands! Oh Moose Alley... Where do I begin!! Just terrible. We watched the owner kick out a family because the kids were on the dance floor dancing. She told them they were distracting the important singer, then went on to tell the singer to stop playing so the family would leave. We then watched a moose alley waitress fall with her food and tray flying everywhere. The owner was too busy drunk with her glass of wine, while the family that was kicked out helped the waitress on their way out the door! Moose alley goes on to publish this tasteless, disgusting, rude post on Facebook talking about how us customers should make THEM happy that we are there. I think it should be the other way around. Complaining about customers calling asking what the hours are... their hours are NEVER what they say they are online!! The post also told families not to call to make bowling reservations. Why would ANYONE want to pack up 4 kids just for a chance that theyre open and to bowl?!?! No thank you! The post that moose alley put out gives their wait staff permission to trip children, and complains about children being in certain areas at certain times. If you dont want kids there why on earth would you put an arcade, dance floor, and bowling alley in a bar!!! We will never be visiting this disgusting establishment again. read more
