Stopped in yesterday for dinner- I had to order the steak fingers as I've heard it's an Idaho thing. They were delicious. My friends ordered the hot wings and they were pretty good as well! The didn't have a server, so it was a little backed up, but the bartender did a great job with water and making sure we had what we needed. Stop by and give it a try! Came in and asked for an espresso martini, was cut off with a quick NOPE before I even finished my sentence. Decided to have a water while my husband had a beer. She asked if we wanted to open a tab? Meanwhile I'm Looking at what she has behind the bar... kahlua, vanilla vodka, Bailey's are all on the shelf? Wouldn't have been hard to whip up an espresso martini. Very cool bar! They had a great selection of spirits and beers. Service was fast and drinks were stiff. Very affordable. Less than $30 for a round and 2 mixed shots. They have a few pool tables, pinball machines, arcade and dart boards. They also have a Photo Booth, which was a nice touch. read more

Total dive bar. They have games to the back of the bar. They also have live music on the weekends. Very friendly staff. Heavy pours. They have a full bar and lots of beers on tap. It is a very dark bar. They have outdoor seating as well. We played a few games including darts. Came back later to listen to the band well some of our party did. So we stopped in to this place to have a quick drink while walking downtown. Seemed like a nice enough place however turned pretty ugly before we finished our first drink. We were here celebrating my buddies 40th bday and when one of our wives tried to complement a gal's t-shirt at the table next to us, we received a big middle finger from her boyfriend/husband. He then got out of his chair and called us all nigg***!!! Then to top it all off, the bartender runs over to the table and tells us to leave as we 'picked the wrong guy to rile up'. When we asked why we were being asked to leave in spite of the fact that he flipped us off and called us nigg*** for no reason what so ever, it was explained to us that he owned the building. Clearly we won't be back and highly recommend nobody else ever going here either. Pure disgust for these employees who condoned the 'Owners' behavior as well as the 'Owner' himself. Not a huge fan of the layout at the Moose. Very crowded bar area right at the door is annoying. Poor table service every time I have ever been here. Good service though if you can find a seat at the bar area. If you like Golden tee in the second room area, hard to play if someone shooting pool at the same time. Same issue playing darts. They have live music often and do offer a few food options which are ok. It is fun in the summer and fun when packed, so I will always stop by here if even for two minutes just to check things out when in Downtown CDA. read more

Wow, what a waste of an evening this place was. It's a dingy, dark place filled with pretentious idiots from their boats on the lake. I stopped in for a glass of wine and appetizer and seated myself. I was finally approached by a waiter who didn't give a shit about suggesting a red wine when I asked about the selection, and whether he really didn't know the difference was questionable, pretty sure he just did NOT care. I chose a wine and an appetizer, and he demanded to know if I wanted to close out the tab or not. Honestly, I didn't know as I'd only been there 5 minutes. He insisted on me giving him a card and badgering me about closing it out. Fuck yeah, fat little lumberjack asshole man, HAPPY TO CLOSE IT OUT. I won't be staying after I finish eating! No class, whatsoever. Served my wine and it was immediately surrounded by tiny fruit flies that were floating around the bar. Didn't feel very clean. Awesome. Cheese & veggie platter was a weird combo of wilted kalamata olives and children's lunchable. (3 bell pepper slices and baby carrots. None of this was appetizing together and I hardly touched it). But wow did this waiter's demeanor change for the better when his local "friends" came in for a drink! He was sure happy to cater to them. He couldn't be bothered to bring me a straw for my water so I got up and helped myself at the bar. Customers shouldn't have to do that. I did NOT tip on purpose. The waiter (Steve) never came back, so I definitely don't feel bad about that. I tip on service, and this service here was beyond shitty. Neglectful, uncaring waitstaff and mediocre food. Happy to share my experience with family and coworkers here in town so that they can avoid this place. Sub par on every level. Wish there was a way to get my money back. Oh well! read more

A dive bar in a nice part of town. Nothing more, nothing less, at least from my perspective. It is dark, not crowded, has a bouncer for some reason, pool tables, and had a local boy singing. His voice was really good but his friends kept yelling obscenities at him which although hilarious, kept messing him up. It is a very locals spot and I felt weird ordering a cocktail so I just ordered a beer lol. The bartender was nice but didn't seem to really care. If you're itching for a drink and a nice place to wallow or just chill, this place is great for both of those. read more

As a bar manager this place is great! I came here while on vacation from out of state and was blown away at how amazing not only the staff was but even the people I met. It's super friendly and almost consuming to the point you don't want to leave. I recommend this place to anyone. They have great drink specials, games you want to watch, live entertainment, open space, pool table, dart boards, golden tee... the list goes on. It's a destination I highly recommend! Super chill spot! Came here on Memorial Day with a group of 6. Good service. Good drinks, especially really good drink pitcher deals from beer to Mai Thai. They have slot of space. One room for where the bar is and another part of the bar has two pool tables. With two patios one connected to the bar and one on the other side which is a smoking patio area. Kudos for that. Moose Lounge was a fun time. It's one of those local spots, nothing flashy or fancy, standard beer selections. The night we were there was an absolute shit show with two different bachelorette parties in attendance. Live music by an awesome band playing great old tunes that had people up dancing. An all around good time kind of bar/lounge. My only complaint, was the bartenders. While I admit it was a very busy night (standard night by Seattle bar standards) the 'tenders were getting all bent out of shape and angry like they were new to the job. One of them was an absolute dick that would be better off on the other side of the bar. read more

Sad to say that The Moose continues to take steps backward into obscurity on Sherman. Most recently a price increase on beverage which followed their failed attempt to refresh their menu are responsible for the vacant seats and tables. Sad to say this place can't survive long with the mistakes management has made driving customers away. I'd recommend going next door to the Ironhorse for a much better menu. read more

I visited the Moose Lounge during the Car-dalane Car Show... Well, knowing that they were going to be crazy busy, I came with a lot of patience. The biggest reason why I am giving the Moose Lounge just 3 stars is because there was no clue that we had to order food from the bar. I sat at my table for a good 10 minutes and I kept waiting for a waiter/waitress to serve me. The food: My pulled-pork sandwich was okay. I had to ask for BBQ sauce because it was pretty dry. The bread was just okay - probably not exactly what I would select. I would suggest serving sliders made with sweet Hawaiian rolls instead of the bread used on mine. A little bit of slaw on the sandwich would have been welcomed too. Because it was an okay experience, I would probably try another place on Sherman Ave next time. read more

This is not a bad bar to stop for a quick drink or two if your downtown Coeur D'Alene. They usually have live bands playing during the week and the staff are pretty good with the customer service. They have a couple pool tables and some dart boards in the back of the bar. There needs to be more seating options and the music is really loud on live band nights. So if your looking to have a conversation then I would recommend not going during the live music events. read more

I have been here several times with my wife and friends. This is a place where you have to be aggressive to get service at the bar when it is busy. When we were there the wait staff was nonexistent away from the bar. All said the bar staff was quite helpful with tasting samples from the taps. We ended up with a few pints of Moose drool which is a keeper. I also ordered a Vodka tonic well which was weak to say the least. I think the trick here is to order a call drink which ended up much stronger for not much more expense. The music is hit and miss depending on what night you show up. A close friend and I were looking for a place to get lunch and maybe some drinks on a weekday afternoon after spending a few hours on the beach. As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted, but that's where the quality service ended. We made our way to the lounge patio where we waited for a few minutes for menus. No dice. I had to grab them myself. Following that after deciding what we wanted, we sat there waiting for a waitress for a good 15-20 minutes, even attempting to flag her down a few times with no success. Despite seeming pretty slow, the waitress didn't even once bother to stop by our table. Hungry and frustrated, we left and found another place to have lunch. I can't speak of the food quality as we weren't even able to order, but this place, unfortunately, probably had the worst service I have ever experienced. read more

Definitely my top pick for bars when I'm in town. I always seem to end up there on a Monday night when a local band is playing country music, which is surprisingly good. Really nice cabin-y feel to the whole place. Comfy couches by the dance floor. The clientele is pretty rowdy and loud, but I don't know what else I really expect in my hometown. read more
