Came in on a Saturday - place was busy, we are glad we made reservations! The hostess was very polite and seated us quickly! Our waitress was very nice and gave great suggestions for portion sizes and descriptions of any dish we asked about. We were seated outside and the live music was great. We all loved our entrees, and the desserts were delectable. Their array of mocktails was also much appreciated, as our family is a dry house but we love a good fancy drink nonetheless! Our only feedback - and this could be because they had three large parties out there with us - was that it took quite a long time to receive each round of the meal (including our beverages). We were gracious about it, but it did affect the cadence of the evening a little bit. Also, some cushions on the seats of the chairs could be helpful since upscale dining typically takes a little longer, and the all-metal chairs get a little uncomfortable after some time. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful with fine art and soft lighting, but we would definitely recommend sitting outside under the beautiful old growth maple trees and enjoying the patio during summer. Overall, we loved the experience and would totally return - their rotating menu always leaves room for new dishes try and be excited about, and the waitstaff is very professional and polite. read more

Well, I will tell you what went well. The food and the bartenders the atmosphere were amazing. The hostess however, was kind of snooty and told us we couldn't order dinner or tapas at the bar because there were several reservations coming in and I felt like that was not good customer service or a good business plan. Besides that the bartenders were so friendly and so amazing we were able to get to know them and felt like we could be friends. They gave us recommendations for other bars in town, which was awesome considering it was our anniversary and we were celebrating. We only ordered two appetizers and two drinks. I ordered the smoky old-fashioned and my husband ordered the peach please we also got some champagne for our anniversary. We ordered the rosemary bread which was absolutely delicious. Hundred percent recommend yes! We also ordered an Aji plate with cucumbers. I can't remember the name of it, but it was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend. We will definitely be coming back to have more drinks at the bar and maybe dinner at the bar because they were the most friendly. i'm pretty sure the bartender's name was Allyssa, and she was absolutely amazing, AMAZING! read more

315 is unique in that the restaurant is on the first floor of the historic Greenbriar inn! Which makes for a very charming and cozy atmosphere. We came here for a work dinner and had a great experience. I had the steelhead trout which was excellent and the Crème Brûlée for dessert was perfect. Unfortunately our table was seated against a wall, and some of us had to spend a few hours sitting on a very uncomfortable bench against the wall. Everything on the menu looked appetizing, and I'll definitely back for a date night with the wife! read more

The tomatoes were actually juicy (not always a given), the mozzarella was silky soft, and the balsamic? Perfection. I'm mostly veggie these days, and I loved the vegetarian-friendly options...super flavorful and anything but boring. Meanwhile, my steak-loving husband was over the moon about his filet mignon. Said it was one of the best steaks he's had in a long time. You could taste the love and scratch-made goodness in everything. Okay wow! This place honestly surprised me. It was so clean and cute inside. Me and my friend went out for a girl's night here and it was such a treat. Okay, we always go out to a nice meal at our family birthdays. This time it was my turn. We were probably greeted and seated per our reservation. The server and manager both stopped by and said hello and took our drink orders. I had a vodka and tonic that was perfectly balanced and delicious. My wife ordered a mocktail. Ot was not balanced at all and was very strong of tonic. We mentioned it to Rachel, and she took care of the drink right away. The second attempt was spot on. We ordered Cauliflower bites for an appetizer and they were delicious. My wife also got the Butter lettuce and Beet Salad. Bery good! For dinner, my wife and I both had the flank steak with Chimmichuri (sp) sauce. It was again delicious. However my wife's was supposed to be medium-well and mine was medium rare. Both came out medium rare. My wife was reluctant to say anything and ate it. It was still very good as well as the potatoes and corn mix. My daughter got the salmon. In her words, the seasoning and glaze was very good, but the salmon itself was dry and tasteless. I wondered if it was frozen. For $42 I would hope for fresh. Plating on all dishes was very nice! For desert, we had the Chocolate Oasis and the Creme Brûlée. Both fantastic!! I might also mention that the building itself is historic and well preserved! The sound level did get pretty loud when they got full, but I am not sure there's much that they can do about that. It's just how that space is made. 315 Cuisine We've been here twice now, once for dinner once for brunch, and both times were amazing! It's such a good find for us. First, the location is unexpected: in the middle of a neighborhood. But the Greenbriar Inn, in which the restaurant is nestled, is super charming. The restaurant itself is also very nice with a black and white checkered tile floor and grey walls. There is also a nice fireplace in both the waiting room and in the dining room. The service was equally great. Sarah, our brunch server, was full of life, good suggestions and was personal and prompt. I wish I could remember our dinner servers name, who was also great. Now for the shining star: the food! The food here is amazing. Our whole family agreed. Both times we were blown away. The best Wedge Salad ever, an excellent filet mignon hamburger and the most unique and yummy enchiladas en molé ever. It was my favorite molé. The brunch was equally amazing. I started with a Bloody Mary, not the best I've ever had, but good nonetheless. But the Shrimp Etouffee Benedict was so delicious! We also had the Serrano burrito, Llapingachos & Eggs, and the Tuscan Scramble. Everything was amazing! The presentation is artistic and the taste is even better. Gorgeous, inviting interior drew us in, but the amazing food, drinks and hospitality kept us there and made us COME BACK THE NEXT NIGHT! cocktails: Egyptian cotton- quite possibly the best and most refreshing cocktail I've ever had Huck It- yummy example of Idaho's delicious huckleberries Apps: Sliders- could've eaten 10. And seriously contemplated it. Ahi Tuna Tartar- yummy and fresh. Did have to ask for a few more wontons Cajun Shrimp Tacos- have a good level of spice. Entrees: Mahi Mahi with Bucatini, red pepper coulis and golden beet salsa- Yes! One of those dishes where, when tasting components separately, seemed salty. But all together? Perfection Ahi Tuna Entree- as good if not better than any Japanese restaurant Flank steak- so well cooked and flavorful. Especially loved the sauce work. Dessert: HOLY COW! Pineapple upside down cake- thought about licking the plate S'Mores- only S'mores dessert I've had that focuses on the smoke and marshmallow, which are the most important parts. The second night we came we sat on the 315 Cuisines gorgeous patio. We never felt rushed, but were well taken care of. Wow wow wow. What a delicious meal! I booked the inn for a few nights (highly recommend) and decided to try 315 which is the restaurant downstairs. It was Restaurant Week in the area, so they had a $45 three-course menu to choose from. First course was the Caprese which quite honestly is one of the best I've ever had. It was bright, flavorful, and a nice light start to the meal. Second course was the Seared Scallops. The scallops were cooked perfectly and they were served with a black Parmesan Risotto and some greens. The dish as a whole came together nicely with all of the different flavors. Third course was the Cremeux a Chocolate. The mousse was very light and paired well with the chantilly cream and fresh raspberries. I got the RCB and Huckleberry Lemondrop cocktails which were both crazy good. Finally, the service was outstanding. The hosts were friendly and my server was helpful and prompt throughout the meal. Our first visit based on reviews we chose this local establishment. Gabriel Cruz Head of Food & Beverages greeted us at the door. We were early as usual for our reservation and expected to wait. However, it was still early and he happily seated us immediately at a nice table for two. Jenna, our server was there almost simultaneously with water and menus. We were off to a great start. The rest of the evening went just as perfectly! The menu is fun being that it is atypical; in reverse order which is actually logical when you think about it since one typically orders cocktails first, then apps and then the main course. That's the way we do it in any event! There are two pages of cocktails and other libations followed by "additions to the menu". The "menu" is a separate item. These additions to the menu are scrumptious "Tapas" although IMHO they are meal sized additions to a limited menu. Very cool ideas! We went for three tapas and "Monkey" gin martini's! Monkey Gin is a German gin rather expensive if you can find it and our favorite. So, we were delighted to see it on the bar shelf. The martinis were made perfectly to our liking dry with an olive and larger then typical bar fare! Especially these days when it seems that everything is smaller and costs more than it did just the week before. At just $10/drink these are a tremendous value by todays standards! The value (not just the drinks the entire meal) is outstanding as one needs to know that Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is a high dollar resort town on beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. My "tapas - addition to the menu" was the ribs and wings. Served in a large bowl they were of an Asian infusion style with sweet/sour type sauce, sesame seeds and topped with a small portion of Kimchi on a bed of crisp hot French fries; simply amazing! My wife ordered the shrimp skewers on a bed of crispy cauliflower; we shared of course and this dish was delicious. And, for our greens we had the Cesar salad which was exactly what a Cesar should be. Portions were far from what our tapas experience would have suggested, again entrée sized IMHO. We couldn't finish them partly because I/we left room for Tiramisu which we split and couldn't finish either. Simply wonderful! Again, an incredible value for such a delicious feast. Jenna was gracious, warm and helpful with suggestions and descriptions of the menu items. Gabriel, who now had his handful with a full restaurant and a larger birthday party behind us. Never failed to greet new customers, assisting the bartender who was suddenly inundated with cocktail orders still managed to stop by our table a couple of times to be sure we were happy. They're in between menus so the cocktail menu was quite small, but our waitress kindly told us about several of their popular drinks not listed. We dined at 315 about two weeks ago and had the best experience! The food was truly fine dining, with inventive combinations and presentation. There is no other place like it in the area. Our waitress was top tier, too!! Rachel, I believe. She was hilarious, engaging and offered valuable menu insight. She was even able to match my husband's sarcastic sense of humor! We had the place to ourselves, basically, because it was World Series time and some football, too. They even turned the lights down for us! I'm going to start with can't believe this place does not have a line at the door or reservation only. I received impeccable service and delicious food and beverage. I started with the Caprese salad that was beyond basic. The balsamic reduction and chive oil make it just enough to want more but know you shouldn't. Next I ordered the Filet mignon with black truffle butter, I will crave this steak FOREVER. Perfect true medium rare. Best mushrooms I think have ever crossed my palette. Lastly the creme brulee which is always my go to. Was refreshing with seasonal berries. All presentations were gorgeous. I will make this my go to anytime in the Coeur d Alene area.
