Granted, I needed a top end rebuild of my 81 Honda, but every time I called for an update it seems they were "waiting for a bench to open up". I was never given a courtesy phone call like he promised, I always had to call to find out information on my bike. When I finally got the call that my bike was finished I had my driver come by to receive the bike, after giving my driver the bike with no gas tank, seat, or battery Carlos claimed that he didn't own the shop and quickly disappeared. When I received the bike it had new rust spots on the brand new muffler, the tank was sun bleached, and there's was standing water inside all of my turn signals, tail light and headlight. It would appear that it was kept outside with no cover for the duration of its 1 year residence at Brooklyn Motor Works. After more careful inspection. Of the bike I found that the oil in the crankcase had water in it, the carbs were not put on the bike correctly, my fork seals had deteriorated from sitting outside for a year, the new top end they installed was missing some bolts( can chain tension bolt, and tachometer set screw), and the "electrical wiring " that they had charged me for had just not been done. So $2300 later I have a bike that I can't ride, and can't sell until I fix all the damage cause by this shops negligence. Carlos offered to take the bike back and fix some of the problems but at this point I wouldn't trust this shop with anything. I feel like a sucker since I paid in advance, I would ask for a partial refund but it would probably take them 8 months to pay.

Tom took the time to go over the bike with me in great detail, and gave me a list of priorities for repairs. We agreed on a list of things for him to do, and a list of things that i could do myself to save some money. He worked within the budget I had and did a quick turnaround to get me going MUCH better than before. Tom knows BMW's in/out and i wouldn't want to take mine to anyone else. Honest, knowledgeable, thorough, and worth every dollar spent! The best part was that Tom check on the bike a couple of days afterwards to make sure that all was well, and AGAIN a couple of weeks later. Customer service like that is hard to come by these days. The service was good for two weeks, and we had a written and verbal agreement to pay in installments and that was agreed upon by both parties. Service has been paid $300/$700, until I had a small accident after using my rear brakes to shift down and stop at a red light. The rear wheel locked while in motion. After close examination the brake pad he replaced is nonexistent, and the piston went through the rotor. After a simple brake service in addition to other services done, I will now have to replace the brake caliper, the piston, rotor, and new brake pad, I will now be spending double to repair the bike after his damages. Mechanic Alex has since blocked my number and ghosted me after agreeing to fix the issue he caused. I will be pursuing this issue to the highest extent of the law. Thankfully I am not dead. He has zero organization and poor communication. The issue has since been professionally diagnosed and not based on assumption! Harley compatible parts were not used for the brake servicing! Also not disclosed was the ongoing issue Alex had while doing my rear brakes, to the point that diagrams had to be looked up to determine whether or not he was correct! Not only was the tone and choice of words on the phone call I had to make from a separate number despicable but extremely rude to a customer and friend he had a personal friendship with. The issue after being professionally diagnosed was deemed not a user error but a mechanical error. Mr. Borghi since has still not returned any call or message and since deemed he is not responsible for the work done when clearly he was the only person to touch my brakes.
