i had not been to this medical practice for 6 years but let me start by saying i had seen the previous owner, dr antle for nine years. dr antle always thanked me for the many referrals and even told his staff i was his "san diego botox connection". i loved his medical skills, personality and attention to detail and was very sad when he retired in 2011. i decide after that to find a doctor closer to home and should have kept doing so but a few weeks ago one of my clients told me he still went to the vista office and saw doctor moradi for botox as well as fillers and loved his results so i made an appointment. so 2 weeks ago after being "welcomed back" and assessed by dr moradi he told me that i had excessive under eye wrinkles and that i should get botox to treat those areas as the other areas i normally had treated. afterwards they took me back to another room to get my under eye area zapped with a laser as they said i had a bruise. when i got home though my under eye area was completely swollen and my boyfriend said i looked terrible and and had a big black eye and that it looked like someone "punched me in the face". he also told me he thought i should go get my $540 back (which btw was more than i had ever spent for botox). i had an event in los angeles one week out and decided to just start taking pics and that on my way back from the event i'd stop in and show the pics and be asked to be reimbursed then rather that waste another hour and my gas money going back up there...plus i needed to ice my eye to get the swelling down. however one week ago when i did this his assistant veronica stated he would not be in until thursday and besides i only had a bruise (this was even after she saw all the pics from the last 7 days). she then said that my botox looked perfect and reminded me i had signed a release and when i said it didn't include getting a hematoma she said i didn't have a hematoma and that what i had "happened to her all the time". she told me however she'd show the doctor all my pics we texted to her phone on thursday and i'd hear back from him then. by 6;50 pm i still had not been called so i called only to find the dr had left but his assistant would call me back soon. a good 20-25 minutes later veronica called to inform me the dr had said "we will not be issuing you a refund". i then asked if i could be given botox in my forehead when it wore off to make up for the black eye i still had and was again told no. it was then i told her i'd be posting all of this on yelp along with my pictures. if you look at the string of pics on this site you will see my black eye as well as the definition of a peri orbital hematoma (which i had) and other doctor's answers as to how "rare" it is to get one from botox on the website "realself". one last thing. i honestly never felt this would come to this...when i owned my salon we gave full refunds or redos to customers...also one of my clients at the salon saw my eye pics that first week and said she was confident all my money would be reimbursed because she worked with surgeons and that's what her office would do... read more

At 65 I realized that my relaxed face was a scowl! Hi! My name is Tracey and I've been going to Dr. Moradi for my Botox for over 4yrs. Prior to Dr. Moradi, my botox only lasted a month or so. Now that I see Dr. Moradi, my botox lasts minimum 3 months and as long as 4 months! It's the BEST! His costs are very low and he is so professional and knowledgeable and always treats me with the utmost care and respect. I never feel like he's trying to "sell" me products. He's very conservative about what he recommends. I've referred 4 or 5 friends to Dr. Moradi for Botox and the LOVE him! I've also seen Dr. Moradi for Cosmelan, a treatment for melasma. I went to Dr. Moradi for undereye filler of restylene asI had some collagen loss in that area , he said no problem it would be a easy fix. Spent $750.00 for a restylene injection. I immediately developed lumps in the undereye area that never subsided after 2 months, I went back to him for advise, he said it was nothing he did and why did the lumps bother me as I had lumps all over my face, which I don't. He basically sent me on my way. I went to another Doctor who removed the lumps with a single injection and said that women in over 40 can have problematic results do to thin tissue in this area, I was never informed of that pre injections was not offered alternatives, felt insulted by him ane will never go back to his office. Very UNSATISFIED. Been going here for a couple years...for the Botox Days - have always found I have to argue or push to get more Botox which makes sense since they sell per facial "area" - not per unit. Most recently, I had 2 areas done & Dr. Moradi told me to come back if I wasn't happy. About 3 wks later, I went back stating it really doesn't even look like I had Botox done... As usual, I was told he couldn't give me more or it'd result in hooding of my eyes as a side effect & the look I had was the look " we" (?) were going for anyway ... "We" ? Or He ? I had driven all the way to Vista to just be told this - told him I felt very unsatisfied, but he didn't seem to care. I'm not one of those women that gets tons of injections or fillers - I just want to feel like the $300 was worth what it was spent for ... So my self-esteem was ripped from me recently and that caused me to feel pretty gross about myself. I came to the conclusion that doing something for myself could possibly help me feel better and there has been something I have been thinking about for a while.. BOTOX! haha I consulted with Dr. Moradi, and I have to say that he has the kindest, calming demeanor. He answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable. He also was very understanding when I chickened out last minute and decided against doing it. He told me if I didn't feel comfortable about the procedure, then I should wait until I am ready. That right there showed me that he isn't just in it for the money and that he cares about his patients. If and when I decide to do botox I will definitely come and do it with Dr. Moradi... He wasn't pushy and he treated me like a real patient, unlike other places where you go and they try to upsell you on things that you don't really need. I called about an ad for Moradi's services that ran in the North County Times. I was told that they hadn't run an ad and I had it in my hands. I was basically told to buzz off. I scanned the ad and tried to send it to the email address on his web site: info@moradimd.com. No great surprise, the email bounced. The ad was for "Hydrating Opal eye treatment" and offered a $95 procedure for $50.00. I only wanted to ask a question and didn't even get to do that. I'm male and I was assaulted about a year and a half ago and almost killed. I still have discolored, wrinkled, puffy eyes and they make me look older than I am and awful. I just wanted to know if the procedure would help. If the first procedure had helped, even a little bit, I would have been willing to continue the treatments at full cost. Needless to say I agree with an earlier reviewer: "what happened to customer service?" In my, humble, opinion find your services elsewhere. read more

Over a year ago, I had a terrible experience with fillers from a doctor who came highly recommended by a friend. He left me with lumpy, bruised, swollen skin for over a month. I did not feel comfortable going back to him and tried desperately to find a new doctor. She scheduled me for an appointment for two days later. And within a few hours of having my filler dissolved by Dr. M, I felt like my normal self again. So when I decided to finally start having laser hair removal I went to this place in Carlsbad. I walked in and walked right back out. From the appearance to the receptionist, everything turned me off. Second spot was here with Moradi MD Cosmetics. I walked in and the place was clean and modern. Right away I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. I started my laser sessions with Becca. Simply put she is amazing. She's professional and friendly. She insures that my comfort is priority at each session. Before each procedure she offers an ice pack to help ease the pain a little. Let's be real, it's NOT pain free. When all is done she offers some Cortizone cream to help with the slight irritation. I highly recommend Becca. The procedure itself is just as painful as getting a wax. However, with laser it's over way faster and there's no sticky mess to deal with afterwards. Financially, if you can afford to pay for waxing as often as you'd have to then laser is something your should really consider. Waxing is, on average, 2-3 week. With laser it's every 6 weeks. I'm currently 5 sessions in and I have loner periods of no hair regrowth. Most importantly I have no ingrowns from waxing and not razor bumps from shaving. Laser is the way to go!! I first started getting injections more than fifteen years ago, and I have been to several different dermatologists and injectors since then. Like they say, "Getting old isn't for sissies." When it comes to aging, I am NOT a sissy because I will NOT "gracefully surrender the things of youth", and I DO want to look as young as I can and as good as I can for as LONG as I can.
