Play area and tables and green area for days... all in the perfect setting... a little manmade park carved out of nature. It has the footprint of a big triangle and is beautiful no matter which direction you look. The design and layout needs to be redone in many other cities - why reinvent the wheel? Little trail if you just want to walk too. Perfect for the pooch. Mr Wolfie will want to come with you on this outing. Family friendly. Bring the kids too. Super clean and safe and no worries. Different playgrounds to please kids of all ages. Very relaxing for everybody. Moraga has a slogan 'parks make life better.'

They also stopped the river from going through so no more lost discs to the water gods, even when my brother and I went a round in the rain, it was still WAY less water than the last winter I golfed there. Lots of parking and a good variety of holes for a 9 hole, but on the 4th hole you better pick the disc that doesn't veer to the left or you better have your fence climbing shoes on because if it hooks/cuts to the left then it may end up in the infield of the little league field on the other side of a 10' tall fence. It's a quick hop over, but it can be annoying when you put too little spin on it to make the corner. With three holes that are nice and open (with a tree in the way on them) you can feel that you're being challenged enough without thinking it's a cake walk in the park tossing your way through this course.

For those of you who have not been to the facility the course is located at the Ernie Rodrigues softball complex. The first tee box was well marked and you are going to be throwing from dirt tee boxes. Make sure to bring your dirt shoes with some decent sole as you will have to climb up and down a bit. Each hole is marked with a clay tile (with the exception of hole number 6...broken by kids?) that gives you some idea of where the basket is and occasional distance in feet. The holes are not real long but are a definite challenge. Several holes go through trees and really make you have to think about your throws. The baseball fences provide a slight challenge. If your disc goes over a fence, you'll have to walk around to get it as you are not allowed to climb over. No worries because you always throw great, right? All of baskets are brand spankin' new and in great shape. You can see most of them straight from the tee box (i.e. no blind throws). The most challenging holes are #7 and #8. If you have someone playing with you, you will want a spotter on the left side of the hole as right handers will tend to land over there. On #7, I spent about 25 minutes looking for my disc in the berry bushes which have tons of thorns. I was able to find the disc after shredding my legs on the thorns. On #8, there's a creek on the left which caught my driver disc. Luckily, there were people looking for their disc that saw mine dive under some weeds in the water. The course is brand new and will only get better over time. I'm looking forward to going out and trying the course again this weekend. For now I give the course 3 stars. Pros: - Conveniently located for you Livermore Valley wine tasters who like to chuck a disc on the same day - Brand new baskets - Great mix of challenging holes Cons: - Gotta search around a little to find the tee boxes with the pink markers in the dirt and the floor tiles with tee box number. - Some holes (i.e. #3) are a little close to the baseball fences although if you're careful you won't have to walk around. - Nasty thorn/berry bushes on #7 will shred you if you go left There's lots of good info on the Tri Valley Disc Golf Club Facebook site at www.facebook.com/groups/TVDGC/

There are several different pin variations that are called out on the teepads at each hole. The back 9 are a bit trickier to locate so use U-Disc for assistance. Front 9 are fairly simple shots with lots of trees to get you cursing. The back 9 are a bit longer and more open. If you're a skipper, you won't do much here. In between the front and back 9 there is a location where discs are hungup for lost and found. Enjoy the views and watch out for walkers as they can walk right into your drive. FOOOOOOOOOOOOOURRRRRRRRRR!

This is a (somewhat) hidden gem within Golden Gate Park! It is a full, 18-hole disc golf course…read more Some people call it frisbee golf, however don't show up with a regular frisbee if you don't want to look like a noob. If you are a noob, that's ok. Just be respectful, and know there's a specific etiquette expected while playing. Similar to golf, you tee off with your disc, then keep shooting until you putt into the pin (basket). Grab some discs online or at a local shop before heading out! The course is perfectly nestled inside the park, near Marx Meadow and across from Lindley Meadow. There is a starting point with a hole #1, make sure you don't hop on somewhere in the middle. The course is maintained by the Club, and they do a great job of keeping it up and even adjusting the pins. Each hole has 3-4 potential pin locations, and the current one is marked on the little sign near the tee pad. Some of the pins are hard to see from the tee box, so it's helpful to be familiar with where you're shooting before you lose sight of your disc. It's super easy to lose a disc in the bushes or trees if it goes off path, so make sure you always keep an eye on your disc. Bright colors are always helpful when spotting lost discs. This course holds weekly and annual tournaments. The weekly doubles are on Tuesday, and singles on Sunday morning. People bring adult beverages and partake in the smoking of both cigarettes and cannabis. They recently removed trash receptacles at the holes, so whatever you pack in, plan to pack out. This goes back to being respectful of the course and land, don't litter or destroy anything. The lines can get pretty long if it's a weekend and the weather is nice, so anticipate a wait. If you go early or during non-peak hours, you can make it through the full 18 pretty quickly!

This skate park is nice and kept very clean. There are no cracks in the cement and there are plenty of places to do different tricks inside the park. There are no trees to shade the skate park, but luckily it doesn't get too hot here. There are some shaded benches around the park with a good view of it for anyone who might have only come to watch. This skate park is a great asset to the community and gives skaters a place to play and hangout without being a detriment to the community.

Great little walking path that goes around and a children's play area. People come here to walk their dogs as I think there are a bunch of apartments surrounding this place. When you don't have a back yard of your own there is not much choice. Parking lot is well lit and tons of spots. I counted a hand full of lights scattered throughout. Very clean and good pavement. This is such an affluent area I would have expected a little better lighting. Other than that if you live in the area a good recommendation. Don't come from afar.

With that being said city officials should hold their head in shame. Parking is almost non existent , the skatepark itself is made of a really rough cement that hurts to fall on and whoever designed this park has almost surely never skated in their life. Obstacles with no run up to speak of that even if you could land something on would almost certainly lead to an injury. This park is borderline a safety hazard. Skaters will always make do so I'm sure there's a couple locals that love their park but concord deserves better. Luckily I was in the area and didn't waste my time making a trip out here.

I always appreciate little bowls because it's good for getting better at vert skating. It even has some cool ledges and a flat bar that is pretty long. The skatepark is a good size though I wish it was just a tiny bit bigger to space out the obstacles a little better. Overall it's a great park. The parking is a bit far from the entrance. That's one of the few things I don't like. I like being able to see my car. I give this park 9/10.
